Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Jul 2025 I had a wonderful stay at the campsite. The setting is truly magical. The ride in is through a windy forest road and it was idyllic apart from the occasional stand off with another car.
I camped in the Orchard. Incredible views and each pitch is carved out of long grasses and wild flowers, making it feel like you’re in your own little meadow.
The shower was hot, the toilet was clean. I met the hosts on arrival and collecting my pizza but other than that they left me to it.
It’s a 30 minute ride to Folkestone and Canterbury so on a gorgeous weekend the beach is just the right amount of drive away.
The land and how they have done the place is truly stunning. 100% recommend.
Lovely rural campsite Recommends site
Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches May 2025 Lovely campsite in rural setting with plenty of space. Loved that pitches were separated by long grass. Clean facilities.
Lovely campsite Recommends site
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Jul 2024 A beautiful campsite with lots of space and tall grass between the pitches.
The facilities were wonderful, we had a great pizza from the pizza oven on Friday and delicious home roasted coffees in the mornings. We bought some coffee beans to take home with us.
The surrounding countryside has some great walks, villages and pubs. The toilets and showers were clean and easy to use. A very family friendly campsite but pretty quiet in the evenings.
Wonderful campsite! Recommends site
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches May 2024 Simply beautiful site, one of the best we've stayed at… and we've stayed at a lot! The camping field was gorgeous and the pitches were all very large, with lots of space for playing games and BBQing. The arrival was simple, the car park is at the entrance of the field, we had a warm welcome and then loaded our kit into wheelbarrows to take it to the pitch. Only a short walk and the fact that there are no cars around the site means it's great for the kids to play safely.
The horse box shower was novel! Very clean and lots of hot water. The compost toilets were always very clean and well serviced with lots of toilet roll and sawdust!
We got logs from the reception and were able to make a fire at the pitch, which was lovely for the evenings. We also ordered pizzas on the Saturday night, which were excellent, really tasty and a treat whilst camping.
Location wise, the site is in the middle of nowhere (a good thing) of the beautiful Kent countryside. We had a lovely day out in Whitstable, which was only 40 mins away, and Canterbury was only about 20 mins. So a really good base for exploring Kent.
Overall, this was a fabulous site and we will definitely visit again.
Great trip Recommends site
Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Aug 2023 We had a lovely time at The Sunny Field. We went as a new family of four. There were a few other new babies that we noticed and our 4 year old had plenty of children to play with. The facilities are basic but clean. The campsite was very peaceful and the location is fabulous. We visited the lower leas coastal park one day, Canterbury on another day and also went to Lydden Hill to watch some car racing. The coffee is fab too 👍🏼
Just perfect Recommends site
Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Jul 2023 Super environmental friendly camping with a welcoming owner. Super homemade pizza on Friday, a large pitch and a quiet place. The showers and compostable loos were always clean - a real piece of paradise!
Lovely stay in a beautiful setting! Recommends site
Bell Tent - Bell Tents Aug 2022 We loved our stay at The Sunny Field. The campsite itself is lovely, located in an area of outstanding natural beauty; very unspoilt, with trees surrounding our field and long meadow grass between the large pitches. Eco-friendly, off-grid camping is really important to us, and The Sunny Field does that very well. The campsite is definitely family/child friendly, but also great for us as a couple with a dog looking to relax. We loved being able to have a campfire, and the starry night sky was incredible!
