An excellent, off grid members only and adult only base for touring the Lincolnshire Coast, snuggled into the countryside, with hedges all around. Enjoy pitches that are all on a well kept grassy area, fresh drinking water, waste disposal, no other mod cons apart from a toilet - what more do you need!

About the site

A tranquil site where you will receive a lovely warm welcome, be shown around the site and then offered one of five excellent pitches. Austen Fen offers plenty to do in the surrounding areas and a peaceful base on a grassy site, surrounded by hedges and trees. Thanks to its setting by Louth Canal, it feels very private. It's not only a top CL, but also an ideal space for renting a holiday cottage and taking it easy.

The site is generally open from the end of April until the end of October, but it's worth enquiring outside of these times, if the weather is fair and the ground is dry, as you may be able to stay.

Things to do on site and in the Louth area

The site is an ideal location for the peace and quiet of the countryside but within 20-30 miles you can be at the seaside towns of Cleethorpes, Mablethorpe, Skegness or Ingoldmells for a proper day at the coast.

Or if the seaside isn't for you, the lovely market town of Louth is only a short drive away and is a great place to explore local fresh produce. Louth holds markets every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday and is well known for its specialist grocers and butchers.

If you are visiting Austen Fen in the later months of the year the Donna Nook Seal Sanctuary is only a few miles away and is must-see. The seals come inland to have their pups and it's really enchanting.
