Brookside Country Park is North Lincolnshire's only 5 star holiday park, with a peaceful riverside setting that suits those who fancy fishing, and Lincolnshire Edge woodland very close by for walking Fido. The park is adult only, an easy stroll from a pub with a riverside garden and ideally located for cycling, walking breaks and golf. Open year round.
About Brookside Country Park
This is an ideal spot for relaxing and it's set only 150 yards from the gentle flow of the River Trent. It's also the perfect base for exploring as far as the River Humber - which is an easy 15 miles away. The M180 and motorway network make access easy from such cities as Leeds, Lincoln, Sheffield, York, Hull and Doncaster. Brookside Country Park's 35 touring pitches are all set on spacious hardstandings and all fully serviced pitches. Each of these is separated by laurel hedging and shrubs, perfect for those looking for a little privacy. The park is graded 5 star by the Visit England Tourism Board and was voted within the Top 100 Caravan Sites from 2018 to 2020 The site also offers a selection of privately owned holiday homes to own which are set out on spacious luxury pitches with an overview of Burton woods.

Site rules and policies
Brookside Country Park is exclusively for adults over the age of 18. No persons under the age of 18 are permitted on the Park at any time.
4. Please do not drive or park on the grass.
5. Holiday Homes must be insured as should seasonal caravans.
6. Please respect other guests and do not cut across other people's pitches, use paths and roads provided.
7. Dogs to be kept on leads at all time even on the field and waste to be put in the bin provided. If we feel your dog has become a nuisance it will be barred from the Park.
8. Strictly no commercial vehicles
9. One car per pitch, unless authorised, any visitors can leave their cars in the visitor's car park.
10. Washing of vehicles with a hose is not permitted.
11. Please obey the speed limit at all times.
12. All accidents and incidents must be reported and recorded at reception.
13. Please keep noise down to a minimum between 10.00pm and 9.00am.
14. In the interest of safety we strongly recommend you carry out a yearly gas safety check and be provided with certification
15. Only Brookside approved tradesman and companies operate on this park. No D.I.Y allowed
16. Pots, ornament's stones etc maybe allowed on decking with prior consent from office.
17. No additions may be added to your Holiday Home without permissions to written requests.
18. No notices or advertisements may be displayed around your pitch.
19. Do not introduce foreign items into the drainage system including baby/toilet wipes, cleaning cloths, sanitary products, condom's, cooking fat, engine oil, grease or paint.
20. Please ensure rubbish is bagged and any recyclable materials are put in the correct containers. No bags of rubbish are to be left outside of pitches.
21. The use of clothes lines or rotary lines is prohibited.
22. The exterior of your Holiday Homes must remain as originally intended no colour changes or painting.
23. No open fires, fire pits or chimneys are allowed ANYWHERE on the Park.
24. Musical instruments, stereos etc must not be too loud as to bother other guests.
25. Firearms, air pistols, catapults and offensive weapons are not permitted.
26. Use of unlawful drugs is a criminal offence and will lead to the termination of your holiday.
27. You remain responsible for your guest's behaviour.
28. No subletting or private sales to be practised. All transactions must be dealt with through the Park Owners and subject to a commission charge (for rates please ask at the office)
29. No refunds are given in anyway.
30. You undertake to pay all site fees, Rates, Insurance and any other charges.
31. Electric failure can occur through power cuts etc. You leave your electric on at your own risk when not there. Brookside is not responsible for checking power to every holiday home.
32. No sheds are allowed, a small outside storage box is permitted for seasonal & holiday home owners
33. Brookside does not accept any responsibility for persons stay at the Park or using facilities and will not accept liability for loss or damage to persons and property.
34. The management reserve the right to add or amend the rules at any time without prior warning. If you have complaints relating to other members or guests conduct please report them immediately so matters can be resolved.
Things to do on site and in the Scunthorpe area
Take a stroll through Lincolnshire Edge woodland which lies behind the caravan park and relax in the fresh air - both you and your pooch can get some exercise.
Nearby Burton-Upon-Stather is an attractive village with a great reputation. Have a peek at the gardens that helped to make the village a winner, during one of their popular open days.
A walk of 2.5 miles takes you to Alkborough with its unbeatable views and from there you can get lost in the Julian's Bower Medieval Turf Maze. Take in a view of the rivers Trent, Ouse and Humber meeting - it's well worth seeing. With the right clear conditions you might even see all the way to the towers of York Minster.
Less than two miles away is the elegant Normanby Hall Country Park, surrounded by acres of stunning parkland and tranquil gardens. Have a good look around the Farming Museum which tells the story of life on the land between 1850 and 1950 and admire the shy deer that graze in the park's grounds.
