About Doxford Farm Camping
The farm is a small, family run business, taking pride in running a camping and glamping site that guests like to return to year after year. If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the large sites but be in the heart of all that Northumberland has to offer, this is for you! With over 5 miles of farm walks which include woodland, field and lakeside - there is plenty to do and see without even needing to step foot in a car. Only 15 minutes from the nearest beach and Alnwick, you're in pole position here. Seahouses is also a 15 minute drive, and Bamburgh Castle just 25 minutes. For campers and tourers, there's a one acre grass site ideal for pitching, with electric available for those in caravans and motorhomes. The site has a beautiful wild flower bank to separate pod pitches and campervan/caravan pitches. This not only ensures all pitches are level but all have a stunning view over woodland and field with an abundance of native wildlife right on your doorstep! Four luxury bell tents each sleep a maximum of four guests - with a comfy double bed and two single futon/single beds. Bedding included. The bell tents also offer a cool box to use to store food - ice can be purchased on site for them. A perfect mix of camping with that little bit of added comfort. The site's hassle free standard pods are kitted out with electric, lighting, full insulation, a double mattress and two single pull down mattresses, plus a hot drink making area and mini fridge. There's a handy decking outside for taking in the view and a mirror is even supplied so that you can always look your best! For a touch of glam, try a stay in one of the en-suite glamping pods, which are cosy, well insulated and ideal for those home comforts. The site's luxury pods sleep 4, including a kingsize bed! Modern features such as TV, Wifi, kitchenette and bathrooms, combined with the charm and comfort of times gone by such as log burners and fire pits. So why not gather under the stars with friends and family and toast a marshmallow or two on the fire? Locally sourced pre-made meals from 'Kooked North' are available - these delicious meals only use the finest local ingredients to make the most stunning meals that can be frozen, ready to provide convenient, mouth-watering family meals. Solar powered panels can be hired to provide a little electricity to charge items such as phones, small speakers etc. Batteries, ice, logs and overnight briquettes can also be purchased along with marshmallow toasting kits. Other items may become available throughout the year depending on demand and season. The site is on the same farm as Doxford Barns and right next to Charlton Hall so if you are attending a wedding or function you will be a stone's throw away from both venues. Shuttle runs may be available, please ask upon booking. This is a very dog friendly site so don't forget to make room for you four-legged friends!
Touring pitches are available from March to October. Bell tents from May 24th to October 6th. Pods are open all year round.
Site facilities are stylish and modern, offering an upgraded toilet and shower block with three bathrooms. Pod glampers enjoy en-suite facilities. The touring pitches have free Wi-Fi and there is also a pot wash area with hot water and a chemical disposal area.

Beautiful and fabulous hideaway, close to everything that this stunning coastline has to offer, from beaches and castles to local amenities in nearby Alnwick. There was a friendly welcome at the campsite, which was well maintained and clean and bijou so there were no queues to use showers and loos! A lovely location and place to stay.

Fantastic site, really nice showers, toilets etc. Owners could not have done more to make the stay enjoyable. Only 3 miles or so from Newton Beach, also lots of other attractions just a few minutes drive away. Overall an excellent stay.

Things to do on site and in the Alnwick area
There are over 5 miles of farm walks which meander through fields, woodland and lakeside. Explore without the need to even get into your car.
In for a little history? A quick drive takes you to Alnwick Castle - of Harry Potter fame - or the intriguing mysteries of Bamburgh Castle. And once you've explored their cavernous interiors, there's the nostalgia of steam railways like the Aln Valley train and plenty of pretty towns with independent shops to potter around.
From there, it's on to the coastline, only a 15 minute drive from here and a fantastic Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Stroll along pretty bays, relax on gorgeous beaches and get to know the seaside vibe of Seahouses with its pretty harbour.
