About Machrihanish Holiday Park
A coastal escape on the picturesque Kintyre Peninsula. This family and dog friendly site is ideally situated for a relaxing escape. Enjoy walks along the beach, stunning sunsets, a game of mini golf or even on the full 18 hole course next door at Machrihanish Golf Club. The site offers a total of 28 grass pitches, eight with the addition of a 10 amp hook up. Each of the grass pitches allows both tents and tourers with plenty of room for everyone to enjoy some peace and quiet. Tourers also have the option of eight hardstanding pitches, also with an electric hook up, ideal for all year round touring Fancy looking out at the sea from your pitch? There are fully serviced, super hardstanding pitches with also come with a 16 amp hook up, grass, water and waste connections. For glampers, try a budget friendly Wigwam pod which offers a fully insulated and heated timber cabin, with a microwave, fridge, kettle and toaster. It also has a window, benches, decking area and lighting, plus a lockable door. The Wee Camping Pod can sleep up to three and is pet free, whilst the larger Big Camp Pods can accommodate up to five guests with dogs too. Each of the pods coming with beds (bedding not provided) and your own private outdoor decking area with a picnic bench for al fresco dining. You mighteven choose to go glam with a stylish studio pod cabin, which has its own ensuite facilities. It has a large section of decking with seating and sleeps up to five inside (no more than four adults). Inside there is an electric stove, ensuite and fully equipped kitchen. Relax on the sofa and there's a table which converts into a double bed, plus a raised area with bunk sleeping. You'll also find a selection of well equipped two and three bedroom static caravans on site. Dogs are welcome on pitches and inside the dog friendly large Wigwam pods.

Site facilities include regularly cleaned, free showers, toilets and a launderette. These are in a centrally heated toilet block which consists of eight private rooms containing a toilet, shower and washbasin, all fully accessible. There is a small shop on site which sells treats and groceries. Free WiFi is provided. Crazy golf is available onsite with a full golf course and clubhouse next door.
A short ten minute walk takes you to the Old Clubhouse Bar and Restaurant and the Ugadale Hotel's excellent bar. Regular buses can also take you to Campbeltown (10 minutes) to access shops, pubs and more.

Stayed here for two nights and would loved to have stayed more but we had an itinerary to stick to. The site is lovely and well maintained. Showers and toilets are spotless and provide everything you need. Staff are ultra friendly and it is an easy walk into Machrihanish to enjoy a drink and good food. We ate at the old clubhouse, which is a lovely spot. It is easy to visit the rest of the Mull of Kintyre or to play golf at either Machrihanish or at the (Considerably cheaper but equally beautiful) Dunaverty course at Southend. For those who don’t golf as such, there is a mini golf on site which is fun and a nice touch. There is also a kids area as well as the beach and the site is dog friendly. We really enjoyed our time here and were sad to leave.

Things to do on site and in the Campbeltown area
Campeltown is the perfect place to get a tipple, known as a top destination for malt whisky fans, who flock to the numerous distilleries in the area. An easy ten minute drive will take you to explore how this classic Scottish export is made.
Scotland and golf go hand in hand, so it's no bad thing that Machrihanish Golf Club is so close, with 18 unbelievably scenic holes for you to play through. For those just wanting a fun game, the onsite crazy golf is perfect.
