Location was good

Location was good. Nice dog walks. Nowhere apparent to get water for non hook-up area in the middle. Wi-Fi poor on site when site was busy. Shower and washing up area not great in terms of cleanliness. Good location for a short stay.

Great picture postcard place

Had a lovely stay at the Cottage of Content. Reasonably flat grass pitch with EHU and lovely pub with great food which we sampled and loved (be sure to book a table in advance as it's snug inside). Karaoke on Saturday was fab and outside there are tables in the beer garden; there was a bouncy castle for the little ones and a covered barn area where I guess in the peak times they have entertainment and barbecues in there. The pub is also dog friendly too. 15 min walk away is a beautiful village with more pubs and restaurants ❤️ Only criticism was that there is only one shower and toilet overnight for women and same for men- all really good overall. Wd recommend.

The campsite was lovely, very quiet

Lovely little camp site value for money. Only issue was the ants. I think there's a few ants nests. The campsite was lovely very quiet. Facilities were ok. The only downfall was the ants. Our tent was full of them they was everywhere. But I suppose that's nature. Other than that, we couldn't fault it.

Great Site

Loved our stay, the weather was excellent, the camping field spacious and in sun all day. Facilities basic but clean and tidy, shower lovely and hot. Pub and locals lovely and welcoming.

We really enjoyed our stay here! Didn't know you had to book in for food so was disappointed when we couldn't eat at the pub. But food looked amazing. Staff were really friendly and they had a great DJ on, really good vibes. Drinks were a bit pricy though. Not much change out of £20 for two doubles. We'll deffo be going back though.

Pleasant little spot, great for meeting up with friends

We chose this site as it was on pub grounds and we were meeting family there. We loved the idea we didn't have to walk miles to a pub! When we booked, we asked to be camped together with family (2 pitches together). When we arrived, we'd been placed in 2 separate pitches not together but thankfully, someone had just left the site meaning we could be pitched together. If we'd been pitched away from each other, it would have made it a different experience in my opinion. The site was sheltered from the wind and on a cute path to Bidford. The Avon was round the corner for fishing. There's a big covered area in the middle of the ground that has a stage, so likely quite lively on some nights. Large groups camped together, so if you don't like noise, don't go here. You're allowed fires if off the ground, which is great. The pub food was nice but we booked a table as it's small and we wouldn't have got a seat if we hadn't. Some minor hiccups, either the food order but the staff were good at setting this right with us. The toilets are ok, some in the pub that can be used all night if camping and one outside for female and one for males. There's a shower for women and men too, but it's very cramped and not the cleanest. There's a washing up area but wasn't very well kept either as the drains were overflowing and it was a bit of a slip hazard. We washed up by the van after our first experience. All in all, it was a good site for what we wanted, a place to eat and have a few drinks, camp and have a walk with the dogs. It's a lovely campsite. I'd go again in the future, but I'd take my portaloo!

Overnight stay

We loved our stay and are looking at when we can next book. Pub staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The food at the pub is well worth the money. Really enjoyed our stay.

First stay of the year

Fantastic site with very good facilities, all be it could do with more outside showers and toilets. What was available was great. The pub is very friendly, meals are wonderful and well worth the money. Will definitely be going back again.

Wouldn’t recommend

Over subscribed, nowhere to pitch and unfriendly service. Very loud guests and facilities are within the beer garden with little privacy.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, all staff were excellent and food was fantastic, we will definitely be staying here again.

Lovely, quiet site

Lovely pub, good food, but had to wait a while but worth the wait. Lovely walk to shops, very quiet at night, will return. Only one shower on site but not a problem as site was not too busy.

Lovely

Location was lovely - price was great - facilities etc were what you would expect for the price 😊

Amazing

Had an amazing time, staff and locals were really friendly and made me feel really welcome. Just one little thing - the male shower is a bit on the small side but definitely be going back again soon.

Friends trip

Nice place for a break.one shower but no issues. Pub is very good and the food was lovely. Facilities were fine.

An enjoyable weekend stay

We enjoyed our stay, the facilities are adequate, the showers are small, and only 2 serve the entire campsite. But, they are kept clean. Our pitch was fully serviced, we were a bit close to the units either side of us, but this wasn't a problem. The weeds at the back could have been cleared as there were nettles around the tap. Great dog walking and walks along the river. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food very good. We will definitely return.

Quite content

Nice site, very quiet. Electric and water on pitches and a pleasant pub adjacent with decent food. Footpath to the river, shop and another riverside pub. There were toilets and showers available, but the shower is quite restricted for access and requires the user to be very organized. I liked the site and will be back.

Short break

Great little site with a good old fashioned country pub, good food and just a short walk along the river to the town. Everyone on site and the staff were very friendly and made a fuss of dog, Rossi. As this site is only a 45 minute drive for us. I think it is going to be our go to site for a quick getaway trip, as it is with a few other campers we were talking to.

Our bank holiday stay

Very busy but spacious on site pub with lovely food, good portion sizes, friendly atmosphere and live music on the Saturday evening. Only downfall was the showers. Only one for female & one for male. But will be returning.

Cottage of Content

We used this campsite purely as a stop over and as we are in our motorhome did not need to use the facilities. We did have a drink in the lovely pub where the publican was very friendly & welcoming. It was a nice, quiet and clean site and would use again for a stop over.

Great location

Only stayed 1 night. Easy to find and had a lovely quiet, sunny, fully serviced pitch. There were only 3 other campers on site while we were there, so nice and quiet. Food in pub was good and reasonably priced. We had a lovely curry and scampi - lots of it! There is a pleasant, flat 1km walk to Bidford on Avon. Our only criticism was that there is just 1 female and 1 male toilet and shower, which wasn't an issue when we stayed as it was quiet, but if you stayed at a busy time this could cause problems. The male toilet had not been cleaned and the ladies was ok but had no toilet paper. Overall, I would recommend, especially for a mid week stay.
