Thornbrook Barn is easily accessible from the A65 yet enjoys a tranquil rural location, right on the border of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. It's a warm and friendly site with all hardstanding electric pitches, some of which are full serviced. For glamping, there are three luxury ensuite glamping cabins each with a hot tub. The famous Waterfalls Trail at Ingleton is just a 15 minute walk away, along with the charming village of Ingleton.

42 pitches, all hardstanding and about 50% full serviced. Site is immaculate and the owners have obviously given a lot of thought to the pitches and facilities. Stunning views and a fully secure dog field which was a real benefit with our Houdini hound. Great pub, just a 19-minute walk from the site and plenty to see and do in the area.

Excellent site, clean facilities, fabulous owners and well cared for surroundings. All pitches are good, very quiet when we were there, just what we go away for. Great walking on the doorstep, walkable village location and country store within 5 mins walk. Great position for the 3 peaks walk.

Thank you Linda for taking the time to write your lovely review. Glad you enjoyed all the lovely walks. Perhaps on your next visit, step over the border in to Lancashire and ascend Gragareth (Lancashire's highest mountain) which is just a short distance from the site? Hope you enjoy the rest of your travels this month. Sandra & Alan.

Visiting the area to walk the 3 peaks, and this was the perfect location. A short drive to the starting point and then a short walk to the pub in Ingleton afterwards. The site is clean and modern and the facilities were spotless.

We chose this site because it was close to the Ingleton Waterfall Trail. Booking and check-in was all contactless with the pitch being assigned by email. This all worked very well. The site appears to be relatively newly laid out. The pitches all have plenty of room with hedging arranged very cleverly providing privacy. The hardstanding gravel pitch was flat and edged with border stones onto immaculate grass lawns. All excellent. The toilet and shower block was superb. Again it seemed new and was kept very clean. Plenty of showers, toilets and sink cubicles. Piped radio music in the block. Dish washing and laundry room were excellent. Within walking distance was the Country Store (5 mins) where you could get all types of fresh food and frozen food plus gifts. The Marton Arms (15 min walk) is a nice pub. We had a drink there but didn't try the food although it looked good. We did the Waterfall Trail. This is located in Ingleton village (20 min walk to start) The trail is 4.5 miles with some quite strenuous parts in some places. Watch out for the horse flies on the first stage as they do leave a nasty bite. It took us about 4 hours, although it was a very hot day. A lovely site, well worth the money.

Wow, what a lovely, helpful review. Thank you for taking the time to write it. We are glad that our site and amenities looked quite new when in fact, they are now in their 10th season. Sorry those pesky horseflies were a nuisance around the Waterfalls Trail during June - I received a couple of nasty bites too! Sandra & Alan.

The lodge was absolutely fantastic. We were lucky to visit in glorious weather and take advantage of the outdoor area. Inside the lodge is very comfortable and well presented, with everything you could possibly need for a short stay. The welcome pack was a great little touch. I thoroughly recommend.

First trip out in our motor home. Lovely clean new looking site. Not too big, very quiet with enclosed space for the dog to play. Across the road from the entrance a farm shop for supplies. Couldn't ask for more really.

We booked this site at short notice as it is very well located for the Ingleton Waterfall Trail. The facilities were immaculate and the pitches were a good size. We enjoyed an evening in the Marton Arms pub which is only a 10 minute pleasant stroll away. The campsite had a very chilled and relaxed ambience. We enjoyed our short stay. Probably best suited to couples or families with older children.
