Impromptu trip.

Excellent campsite, perfectly positioned for walking/cycling, nestled in some beautiful countryside and villages, and well within reach of Redcar,Saltburn, whitby etc. The campsite is very clean/Tidy and it has some of the best showers we have used whilst away. Definitely a must for walkers and outdoor types !

Fantastic little site

Fantastic site, beautiful views, owners very welcoming, toilets and showers are one of the best from our experience. Very peaceful setting with well spaced out pitches. It’s a bit remote to walk to a pub or shop but lots of walking routes in the area. Ideal if you have a car as lots places to visit not far from this location. The site was faultless, we will definitely be back again.

Great views at this campsite with good facilities. Host, John, is very friendly and happy to give suggestions for a good day out. Good walking from the campsite or from nearby Lordstones.

Great Site!

Great site, with good washing up, shower & toilet facilities, which were cleaned about three times a day and everyone was encouraged to 'leave the showers and toilets as you'd like to find them' - most people did this and it showed, which was great for everyone! Unfortunately, the overnight lighting on site was very bright through the night, which may have been difficult for people camping in tents and it meant there was a lot of light pollution hindering late night star gazing! Overall, a great place to stay with friendly staff - thank you, we would come again.

Very polite owner, very tidy place to stay

This place is gated so very secure. There is a good walk for the dog and the shower was more powerful than mine at home! It is a very well maintained place. The owner is mindful about giving everyone space, so doesn’t cram people in. I’ll definitely go back.

Lovely location

Beautiful location and good facilities. Showers are lovely. Owner was very friendly and helpful. This is the second time we've stayed and if in the area again, will use this site.

Location is beautiful

Location is beautiful and we enjoyed walking directly from the site. However, the water in the dishwashing area and the handbasin was cold. On a site that is open all year that needs to be addressed. That said we would use it again because of the location.

I am sorry that you did not give me a call when on site so I could have told you how to get hot water. As it's a water heater, if it has not been used for a while, you have to run the tap till it gets hot as the water in the pipes gets cold.

Our stay of 3 nights

Peaceful, quiet and nice and polite, friendly young man looking after it. Beautiful views but need a car even for basic things. Toilets are not disabled friendly and only 4 toilets and 2 showers, no his and hers.

I am sorry you weren't happy with the numbers of toilets and showers we have but they are adequate for the size of our site. We don't do male and female because we want to get maximum benefit out of them.

Friendly, pleasant site

Great location and lovely views to the hills across the fields. The pitch was generous and clean, which suited us perfectly. We arrived for the busy bank holiday weekend, so expected busy roads and site etc. We found the site to be quiet and quite sociable, we met the owners and had a daily chat on the rounds. Patch the dog was a fond favourite for the children. Facilities were a little limited with the number of guests, but as a young family, we had the children playing around the caravan as we waited for an opening and kept our days relaxed. Thank you for a pleasant stay, we would recommend and return.

Pleased you enjoyed your stay. If we had more facilities, prices would need to rise too, to cover costs. Most of the year we have plenty, it's just bank holidays.

Absolutely loved South view, especially John and Patch!

What a wonderful view from the site. Great location for Redcar, Saltburn on Sea, Middlesbrough. Lots to see and do in the area. Met John and Patch, these two made our overnight stay very entertaining. Facilities very clean and well set out. Easy to use site. Quiet secluded getaway from the bustle of life. Highly recommend to anyone who wants peace, calm and would like a great walk out and about - ask John, he will direct you anywhere with lots of local knowledge.

Lovely location

Lovely location, warm welcome from Tom. Showers were not very clean but rest of bathroom facilities were okay. Had problem with our electric feed which was probably our inexperience, owner wasn't able to help but we managed on our van battery.

Sorry that you weren't fully happy with your stay. We are always checking toilets and showers. As far as the electric is concerned, ours are all tested and working properly - I think you may need to get your van checked.

Lovely friendly site with great facilities

Beautiful, picturesque views from the site with a warm friendly welcome. Brian came to check we were ok on arrival and John popped by regularly throughout our stay. There were plenty of facilities for the number of pitches on site and they were checked regularly for cleanliness, toilet roll top ups etc. The location was perfect for visiting Cleveland/North Yorkshire area. We would definitely recommend and stay again.

Lovely location

Beautiful location. Lovely peaceful site. Owners very friendly and helpful, told us of places to eat, routes to take etc. Full of useful information. Lovely warm showers, nice to be able to choose your own temperature and not have to keep pressing a button to keep the shower flowing. Would definitely recommend and will use again if in the area.
