Beautiful clean site with great facilities. It's quite an expensive campsite, which put us off booking initially. However, having stayed here (non-electric pitch) we did feel it was worth the money. The owners obviously have a lot of pride in their business and it shows in every part from the listing, to the booking communications to the place itself. You can't keep your car on the field but you can drive it on to load and unload. There is loads of car parking space but it does still get pretty full! The site is so much the better for not having cars round the tents though. Staff at check-in were super friendly. Facilities very clean and despite it being really busy when we were there, the toilets were always kept well stocked with soap and toilet roll. Having initially moaned about the price, we have now said we will definitely return :)

This is a beautiful site, without a doubt. We have returned to camping after many years and aren't, shall we say as spritely as we once were. Fit enough to erect a tent, but not able to endure a sloping pitch so much, no matter how slight the incline. That would be our only niggle that the pitch (17) was on a slope and in front of it a not quite settled down drainage ditch that seemed quite recently backfilled. But we would definitely return and request a level pitch. I'm sure we could have requested a move, but we were only staying a couple of nights.

Great campsite for families with close proximity to great days out being only a few minutes walk/drive. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, always greeted with a smile. Check in was simple and hassle free. On-site there are really good extras including fire pit hire, fresh wood fire pizzas for evening meals and coffee shop including croissants for breakfast. There are washing facilities available where you can also find fridges/freezers kettle and microwave. The only thing that was a slight set back was that the toilets/showers/sinks would get dirty. In the site's defence, they did seem to be regular cleaning and the site was busy. It also takes considerate campers as a team effort to keep facilities clean.

I had an electric pitch. It was sloping even though I had asked for a level pitch - the campsite during most of my stay wasn't full. There is a shop with rows of fridges but most running empty, so no meat etc. I was directed to a Co-Op a 15 minute drive away - not what you'd expect surrounded by sheep and cattle country, not even a farm shop close by. Showers and toilets were clean, although not much room in the shower cubicles. Excellent phone reception.

Another great stay at Catgills. The location is perfect, the site is set out well and the facilities are clean and functional. The only slight issues we had were there could be more showers to avoid a wait. The noise rule also was not enforced, it didn't bother us but if you have small children it may be an issue. Once again we had a fabulous weekend and will be back.

We really enjoyed our stay at this excellent site. Staff are great and the pricing is very reasonable and way less than the big club sites. It will be our first choice when we are back in the area.

Stayed for 2 nights, staff were very helpful and the site was in a great location with picturesque views. On site shop and café was handy and the pizzas on Saturday night were tasty!

We booked for my husband and I for our 40th birthday for a relaxing getaway without the kids. We stayed in the ‘Owl’ pod and from start to finish our stay was so lovely. From the little touches left in our pod (hot chocolate, popcorn and even a birthday card!) to the welcome we received on arrival, we couldn’t recommend Catgill highly enough. The cabin and hot tub are so relaxing and well stocked, it even has a posh coffee machine!! We will be visiting again. Thank you!

A really lovely site. Nice spot. Just the right size. Good facilities. The best thing though was the staff: Friendly & welcoming. Professional & helpful. We’d definitely like to come back for a longer stay.

We accept the topography of the pitches but if it had been busy we would have been sleeping on a significant slope. Staff helpful in moving us to an alternative and flatter pitch (levelling blocks did the rest). The electric hook up was faulty, we had to use a hook up 25 meters away. Staff did come to help but suggested it was our lead when in fact by using the other hook up, it was all solved.

Lovely campsite, friendly and informative staff. Great facilities, very clean. Tasty pastries for breakfast and Bolton Abbey is a short walk away. We will camp here again.

The campsite itself was fine. Close to Bolton Abbey. The staff were nice. The washroom and toilet blocks were very well kept. The only issue was there were multiple campers that had travelled in large groups. The signs say no noise after 10:30pm. Yet, these groups were drinking heavily and shorting/laughing loudly until 2:00am. Maybe the campsite could get their warden's to visit the site at 10.30pm and every so often after, so we can all get some sleep?

Great campsite in a great location. Nice and quiet, clean toilets/washroom with fridges available to use. Only downsides - a few pitches are on a slight slant and no play area (slides, swings, etc but this is obviously non-essential!) Great dog walking area and great location. Close to Bolton Abbey, Billy Bob's Parlour, Hesketh Farm, Skipton and lots of gorgeous walks. We will definitely be back.

Lovely rural escape with fantastic views, only limited by 90% of pitches being on a slope and nearest entertainment (pubs, Bolton Abbey and River) being a 20min walk away. It's a family orientated site, lots of young children making their own entertainment with strict quiet time from 10.30pm and no cars by tents. Happy to have been, but after 3 nights we were ready to have a change. Toilet and washing facilities are by the reception at the top of the site, so when nature called we had a 12min uphill walk to make. Dog friendly with their own dog play field, which was great. Probably wouldn't return as we'd seen everything it had to offer. Glamping pods looked excellent, again on a massive slope, but that's not true camping ;)

Camping in rainy weather meant that we needed drying facilities and there were none. Disabled shower wet rooms could do with an upgrade. Toilets and their cubicles were not as clean as they could have been. Otherwise a delightful site in a very lovely location. Cheerful and helpful staff, especially the morning coffee and pastries ladies.

Quiet and spacious site with excellent views across the York Moors. Showers, loos and kitchens all very clean and well set up. Separate dog walking field, and a great, easy path down to the river and the Bolton Abbey itself. Will definitely plan to come back here - and bring friends!
