Clear filters Quiet campsite, great location and spotless facilities
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Sep 2024 Had a lovely stay at this campsite. It was very peaceful, we enjoyed having a fire and listening to the wildlife.
A convenient location for Purbeck, Weymouth and Chesil and beyond. The showers were hot, everything was spotlessly clean and well run. Good value for money and would definitely visit again.

Great value for money
Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2024 The location is ideally located for trips into Weymouth. The site itself is clean and quite of a night. The bathroom blocks are clean, although the showers do run on the hot side so be careful with children. Overall, we had a great stay.

Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2024 A group of us go camping every year (this year 9 adults & 11 kids) + 3 dogs. This is our first visit to this site and we were really impressed! Loads of places to walk, good beaches a short drive away, a simple but very affordable on site shop, really good shower/toilet facilities. Lovely pub at the bottom of the hill. On-site park for the kids which I hear was good!
We did pitch right at the entrance of the campsite (on the top of the hill) which was quieter but was very exposed to the wind!
The campsite do have a rule of absolutely no noise between 11pm - 8pm which can be hard to stick to if in an adult group/kids in the morning. The warden does come around checking.
Lovely clean site, nice staff and well run. Would recommend!
Great views
Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2024 Rosewall was a lovely campsite, with a great view and a lovely little shop.
As someone with a child and baby, I would say that it was a great spot for families that enjoy a little more peace and quiet.
The shower and toilet facilities were very clean and tidy. My only con would be that the water was as just a little too hot (and I like my showers hot!) and some showers didn't last long enough when button was pressed.
Despite that, I would 100% recommend. I'll be back in the be future!
Beautiful location and quiet site
Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2024 A beautiful location and lots of walks around the area. You can choose your pitch and a lot of them are quite slanted. The shop stocks everything you need and there is a little park perfect for younger kids. I would have felt safer if there was some sort of barrier at the entrance only allowing people on from the campsite. Shower facilities were ok and had a deep clean daily. Would have been good to have checks in between too. Overall a lovely campsite in a beautiful location.

Two night couples stay
Sprinter-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2024 Great two nights stay. Love the fact we could have arrived earlier on the day and will bear in mind in the future.
Very clean showers and toilets. Shop. We did move after first night as realised we were on slight slope. Choice of where to pitch very good though, all with views.
Pub 10 mins walk away is in lovely setting. Lots of seating in and out very relaxing. Security lady very helpful and lent us an adaptor to fill our water on campervan as we forgot to pick ours up!
Walked South Coast to Weymouth which took 2 hours. First hour up and down, but not difficult second hour all along the beach. Got the bus back. Would stay again.

Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2024 Fabulous! Gorgeous views, plenty of really good facilities - never had to wait to wash up/ shower etc. All very clean, plenty of bins, recycling and water stations dotted around.
It is a bit slopy, so you have to choose your pitch carefully so you don't end up sleeping on top of each other!
If you plan on going to the Smugglers Inn, it's worth booking - they turned us away on Sunday.
Family camping!
Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2024 This was our first camping trip since having the children (now 2 & 4) so we were a but nervous about how it would all pan out. However, we had a wonderful time and will definitely be booking again! Rosewall had lovely clean toilet and shower facilities with plenty of plug sockets for phone charging. They had a nice little park and stunning views down to the sea!
The Smugglers pub was lovely and only a short walk down the hill, though not pushchair friendly. We all enjoyed the scrambling walk down from the pub to the beach, which was perfect for the little ones to play - climbing on rocks and splashing in the small pool at the bottom of the little waterfall.
Would definitely recommend to other campers!
Great site and location
VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2024 This site is in a great position on a hill overlooking the valley down to the sea, you have to find the best pitch for you as it is on a hill but has plenty of good pitches.
Very helpful staff, facilities were great, clean and plenty of hot water etc. The shop was a bonus for any last minute essentials. The location on the coast was great for exploring the great coast and into Weymouth as well.
Would book again.
Wonderfull place to camp
Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2024 Campsite doesn't offer any internet or electric hook ups, however it is peaceful and very well managed campsite. It is quite close to beach and 4-5 minutes walk away from a nice pub. Facilities were really clean. We definitely will visit again.

Brilliant location and quiet at night
Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2024 Coastal path and Smugglers Inn on your door step and a site that is genuinely quiet at the times it says should be quiet, absolutely brilliant.
Love the flexibility on where to pitch, fires, BBQs, tent size and dogs. Site is large but broken up with hedges. Washing facilities clean and large with plenty of charging points. Most of all, loved that despite being a big site with plenty of families and groups of people enjoying sports and chat, the site was genuinely quiet at 11:00, ensuring a good night sleep and music was kept to a considerate level.
Will be back.
Lovely campsite, what a find
Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2024 What an amazing find, totally exceeded our expectations. Amazing location for exploring the area and spectacular views. That was enough really but the facilities (shop and shower blocks etc) were great, as was the service.
Icing on the cake was 10 mins walk to a lovely pub with great beer and food and a great atmosphere.
Will definitely be back.
