About the site
This campsite is the perfect mix of a country and city break in the London/Essex area. Just 30 minutes from the capital, yet set it glorious countryside between the King George Reservoir and the Epping Forest, you truly get the best of both worlds! The site offers a great range of pitches catering for backpackers and cyclists, all the way to RVs. The smallest pitches allow only one camper coming with a small tent and there are only eight on site. For tent campers, there is the option of one of the 18 non electric or the eight electric grass pitches. Each of these pitches measures 7m x 5m with up to six people welcome per pitch. If you're taking a family road trip in your caravan, campervan, roof tent, motorhome or RV there's a wide range of spacious pitches for you to enjoy onsite. Touring pitches each have a 10 amp electric hook up available, some being fully serviced and hardstanding, ranging from 3.5m x 7m up to 3.5m x 13m for RVs. For anyone wanting to travel light, the pods could be perfect. The camping pods, also known as Cocoons, give you some of the comforts of home and more protection from the elements than a tent can offer. Each sleeping up to two, choose whether you would like a double or twin beds for your pod. Each pod comes with a small table, electric sockets and a kettle for that important morning brew. Even more spacious are the camping cabins which sleep up to two adults and two children. The cabins come with a double bed with a single bunk, a foldaway camp bed, a coffee table, a fridge and a kettle. All cocoons and cabins come with heating and electricity. Please note, bedding is not provided for the glamping units and shared facilities can be found nearby. For nights in the open, BBQ and fire pit hire is available. You may also bring your own BBQ but it must be raised off the ground. Four-legged friends are also welcome to join you for your stay, with up to two welcome per pitch and in the pet friendly glamping units.
