Lovely camping site
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Jul 2023 Really nice campsite, with a shop with anything you might have forgotten, including BBQs and veggie burgers and sausages for us vegans and vegetarians!

Amazing stay! Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Jun 2023 We had an amazing stay here. The facilities were really clean, staff on arrival were friendly and a great spot to camp. Perfect if you want to visit Scafell Pike and everything else a drive away.
Definitely will be returning!
Beautiful campsite and great facilities
Medium Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2023 Absolute beautiful surroundings, so many hikes & walks leaving direct from the campsite. Facilities were spotless the whole time we were there and the little shop sells most things you need and a hot coffee in the morning! Two pubs a 5 minute walk away, but make sure you book in advance if you want food as they get booked up quickly.
No phone signal on site, but WIFI at reception. Beware the surrounding roads are very narrow, especially the road up to Wasdale Head! In good weather a swim at wast water lake is essential!

Beautiful setting
VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Hardstanding Pitches Jun 2023 Lovely campsite, had everything we needed for a relaxing stay.
The shower and toilet facilities were always clean and had hot water. The location was perfect for us for climbing Scafell Pike. Pub was a few minutes walk away.
Campsite was very peaceful and relaxing and all the other campers were friendly.

Perfect stay
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Jun 2023 Perfect stay.
The site is perfectly located for walks, water sports, chilling and not too far from the coast. We had a quiet corner of a field for 5 days, with stunning views.
The facilities are clean and never overcrowded and the reception offers basics. There isn't any phone signal but Wi-Fi is available free outside reception at all times. Pubs and coffee shops are also within walking distance.
On the negative side, quiet time starts at 11pm which is quite late if you have noisy children/group near your pitch.

Location was perfect and added bonus of shops and pubs all on site (although we felt the pub was very expensive so bring your purse!)
