First camping trip
Medium Tent - Large Overflow Field Pitches (Field 2) Jul 2026 Took my 7 year old son for his first camping trip. Great (and clean) facilities. Loads of room on site. Quiet and peaceful location with great views and walks.
Great, family campsite
Large Tent - Family Playground Field Non Electric Pitches (Field 4) Jul 2026 Lovely campsite in a great location. Lots of walk options from the site, 20 mins drive to Bakewell, Matlock and not much further to Buxton so lots of options.
Site itself is lovely. We stayed in the family field which has a decent playground for the kids.
Perfect location
Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches (Field 1) Jul 2026 Great site for a weekend of walks. The Heather moorland on the doorstep of the campsite is beautiful.
Breakfast van and pizza van on site on the weekend were a great alternative to cooking ourselves.
All the facilities were clean. We will be returning

Large Tent - Large Overflow Field Pitches (Field 2) Jul 2026 Great place to camp, very nice grounds and very clean. We had a wood fired pizza company come in which was great. Definitely be booking again.

Very clean. onsite food trucks are an excellent addition and Emma could not have been more helpful in helping us out with pitches / bookings. 10/10. We shall be back!!

Beautiful campsite!
Medium Tent - Family Playground Field Non Electric Pitches (Field 4) Jul 2026 We stayed here Tuesday to Friday and can't fault the site at all.
Ample spaces for pitching your tent (you choose your own spot! - however, this could be a bit of an issue in busier times!).
We were on the family field near the park and amenities which were very handy having a 6 and 8 year old! The toilets and showers were great - there's a separate block of 4 showers for adults, but we took the kids in for ease as it was quiet. Hair dryers and plugs provided for your straighteners etc.
Very clean site, bins supplied in field and emptied regularly. Little shop on site if needed too! Peacocks on site which loved to roam around. Will definitely be back.

Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Jul 2026 What a great campsite - facilities were lovely, including super clean warm showers and toilet blocks, alpacas and peacocks, a great kids playground and really lovely staff. Highly recommend!

The site is well kept, clean and has great amenities.
All staff were friendly and helpful.

Single Axle Caravan - Electric Grass Touring Pitches Jul 2026 Best showers I've been in at a campsite! No repeated pressing, lovely and hot and nice and clean too.
Staff were very relaxed. Regular emptying of bins.
We came for the family fun weekend and really enjoyed it.

Medium Tent - Large Overflow Field Pitches (Field 2) Jul 2026 We didnt realise we had booked a family festival weekend but it turned out to be amazing. Great atmosphere, good live music, food vendors and bar were great and it had a lot on for the children to keep them entertained.
Basic toilet and shower block and a very well kept campsite which proved popular. We would definitely go back especially when they have their special weekends on but would also take our children with us next time

We were able to choose our own pitch and camp next to friends.

Twin Axle Caravan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Jul 2026 We went for a family fun weekend with a group of friends and a lot of children from primary and secondary school age. Everyone had a fantastic time. Staff were helpful. Site was clean.
The toilets a showers were clean however, some could do with better temperature control. The entertainment they put on was fab also. Great time had by all. No complaints.

Large Tent - Large Overflow Field Pitches (Field 2) Jul 2026 Lovely spot - it was their festival weekend and even though it was busy, the facilities were super spotless and clean and there was no litter anywhere!
Stalls were great and children seemed to be having fun. Would recommend. We were in the overflow field which seemed one of the flattest options.

Medium Tent - Large Overflow Field Pitches (Field 2) Jul 2026 Location was perfect for what we wanted. Climbing at Robin Hood’s Stride and Cratcliffe. Also bonus find of Druids cave and Rowtor Rocks. Loved Stanton Moor a short walk. Facilities were great just a little far from tent but it was a busy weekend.

Lovely family weekend
Medium Tent - Large Overflow Field Pitches (Field 2) Jul 2026 This is our second year of attending the family weekend and we love it!
Staff were really friendly and helpful on arrival. The site was clean with plenty of pitching space. Lots of bins and water points available. Facilities were well signposted and regularly cleaned.
There was lots for the children to do and keep them entertained.
My only suggestion would be some sort of designated 'road' on the big camping field to help with the number of cars and children.
We will definitely be back!

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches (Field 1) Jul 2026 Brill weekend, lots to do. Loads of staff to keep things nice and though fully booked, it wasn't overcrowded.
They could have sold way more pitches but chose to keep it more peaceful.
