Short break
Large Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2026 Needed a few days down time. This site was very well organised. It was quiet even when getting fuller.
The facilities - the shops etc were great.
The pitch - we had large tent EHU - was excellent.
The only quibble was the toilets were getting a bit mucky towards the end of your stay as the site got up to full capacity.

We're sorry you found the toilets grubby during a busy period. We clean and check the facilities three times a day, and we do our best to keep them fresh and presentable throughout service. Unfortunately, when it's particularly busy, they can become untidy again quite quickly.
We also feel that constantly going in and out to mop during busy periods could make guests feel uncomfortable while using the facilities, so we try to strike a balance between cleanliness and guest comfort. That said, we appreciate your comments and will continue to monitor them closely.
After all, this is a campsite with in the beautiful countryside, with all grass pitches :-)

First class campsite
Bell Tent - Bell Tents (Dog Friendly) Aug 2026 Our family had a great time at Lee Meadow, the staff were very welcoming and helpful. They seem to genuinely love working there and it makes the whole place even more enjoyable. Our children had a blast, they especially loved the pump track and the zip wire. It's a very safe place for children to play and explore, The bell tent was clean and comfortable. Looking forward to our next stay at Lee Meadow

Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2026 First time camping alone with my young dog. The site was easy to find, easy to negotiate, all basic needs catered to plus extras if needed. Staff friendly, knowledgeable about area and events, help available for long periods of the day. Pizza was great. Hot showers and washing facilities kept immaculate.

Beautiful setting
Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2026 The staff are very friendly and welcoming, the facilities are great with clean showers and toilets, a great cafe serving breakfast lunch and dinner- which we used a lot! There is an onsite shop with great quality produce .
We loved our stay and fel teh location to Woolacombe was superb - where we spent many days.
The site is great for kids too - with bikes to hire, a zip wire and there is a gym facility for those wanting to excercise.
I am certain we will be back :)

Very good site and location, poor showers
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2026 Great location for Woolacombe and plenty of space. This was though the most expensive site on a seven day road trip along the north coast of Devon and the main thing I want is a decent shower.
The showers weren't warm enough and I really don't want to to be "pressing the button" 30 times when I'm paying £40 per night to stay there. Strangely, no hot water in basins either.

That said, we were naturally disappointed to receive a lower-rated review, especially as we feel our prices are among the most competitive in Woolacombe. We were also disappointed that you didn't mention any of your concerns during your stay. As a friendly, family-run campsite, we always encourage guests to pop into reception if something isn't quite right. With plenty of time during your visit, we would have been more than happy to help.
Regarding the showers, the hot water is supplied constantly to all of our shower blocks through a large pipe system. If you're showering first thing in the morning, it can take a little while for the hot water to reach every block as the cooler water in the pipes clears through. We also use push-button showers to help conserve water, which is an important part of running an environmentally responsible campsite. We are, after all, a campsite rather than a five-star hotel.
Had you mentioned your concerns, we could also have directed you to our alternative shower block just around the corner, which has stay-on taps rather than push buttons.
Running a campsite in this beautiful Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty comes with significant costs, particularly in providing and maintaining electric hook-up pitches in the middle of a field. We work hard to keep our prices fair while maintaining the facilities our guests expect.
Many of our visitors are very complimentary about our shower facilities, although we appreciate that it's impossible to please everyone all of the time.
We're sorry we didn't meet your expectations on this occasion, but we do wish you'd given us the opportunity to address your concerns while you were still with us.

Great quiet campsite Large Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2026 Very friendly owners who really care about people having a relaxing break. A really lovely, unspoilt, family run campsite with a very chilled atmosphere!

Decent shop on site and hot food if you wanted it although we didn’t try any. Couldn’t fault anything really .

The two shops are well stocked and the pizza from the farm shop is restaurant quality
The site is set in stunning countryside only a few minutes from the beach as well

Friendly scenic site
Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2026 A very relaxed 3 day stay at Lee Meadows. Great pitch size coupled with a very well stocked on site shop and a friendly management team are the highlights. On site bakery is also great.
The cleaning and washing facilities are good but they could improve their recycling facilities which seem confused.
There is also no where to empty your grey waste if you are in a campervan as we were.

Sprinter-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2026 Lovely hot showers, great views and lovely cat on site and the couple running it were so accommodating and made us pizza for our dinner on night not normally open for pizza which was super kind, such a nice campsite!

The best stay ??
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Pitches May 2026 New to the camping scene, we initially booked a 2-night stay to test out our kit, but we had such a great time that we extended our stay to 4 nights — which was easily arranged at check-in.
The food at the café was delicious, well priced, and so convenient after a long day when you don’t fancy cooking. The produce in the shop was great quality, and the staff were always friendly and helpful.
The site itself was consistently clean, and the customer service throughout our stay was excellent. We’re already looking to book again in the next few weeks for a long weekend!

Fab site
Motorhome - Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2025 We only stayed for 4 nights in a motorhome, the campsite was great, very relaxed and friendly staff.
Lovely produce in the Farm Shop. The breakfast was delicious (you can share a large one between 2 adults easily!) and scones were next level. Showers nice and hot. 8 year old daughter loved the zip wire. We rode our bikes from the site into Woolacombe - not for the faint hearted, especially on the way back - very steep but we made it with lots of walking.
Lots of pubs only a short distance away and we easily got a taxi so we could leave the van at home. Only thing that would have made the site perfect would be a games room!
