The Northern Close offers a more sheltered setting with easy access to fishing lakes and log-cabin style private bathrooms. In the Northern Close, there are 14 electric hardstanding standard pitches measuring 9m, with optional 16 amp hook-ups and water points. There are also 44 fully serviced superior hardstanding pitches (9m) with 16 amp electric, water, TV aerial point and grey waste drainage. For larger units, three extended superior pitches measure up to 14m. In the Southern Meadows, there are 53 fully serviced superior hardstanding pitches (9m) with the same handy facilities, plus 16 extended pitches measuring up to 14m for extra space (also allowing RVs). Inside, guests will find a double bed with bedding, heating, a TV and DVD player, plus an equipped kitchen with an oven, hob, kettle and fridge/freezer. Each pod has its own ensuite bathroom, and towels are provided. Outside the pods, there is a gated garden area with seating, a fire pit and a raised BBQ for relaxed evenings. You will also have a lockable fishing tackle box, and the dog friendly pods have secure fencing. Reception has a well-stocked shop selling groceries, fishing bait, gifts and drinks. There's also a welcoming tea room and bar open daily, serving breakfast, light lunches and Sunday roasts. Guests can enjoy free WiFi, a pool table and darts, and in peak season, there are visiting food trucks and regular entertainment, including quiz nights! Dogs are very welcome on the touring pitches and in selected pods. There are walking routes around the lakes, two enclosed exercise areas and even a warm water dog shower to keep muddy paws clean. Open fires are not allowed, but raised BBQs are welcome for cooking up your own tasty dinner. You'll also find a selection of luxury lodges onsite.
