Fabulous

We loved it here. It only didn't get a 100% rating because of the proximity to the road which is out of their control, but they have done everything in their power to minimise the impact of this, with constructed high banks etc. It wasn't bad, barely worth a mention, to stop us from coming back, or stop us enjoying cooking in the heated hut, or enjoying the amazing walks from the site. The friendly office staff provided laminated comprehensive guides to 4 walks. I took the long walk to the nature reserve and saw a lot of wildlife on the way. I was thrilled to see and hear larks (no road noise here!). The shower facilities were modern, clean and warm and private. Loo, shower and basin all together, very nice. I am very particular about drinking water and was thrilled to learn that their water is from a spring. The dog shower provided even had hot water! This is up there as one of our favourite sites. We had our own tap and drain too.

Close to many local attractions

Bit of road noise. The tumble dryer didn't work well, so try and use the towel rails in the shower rooms. Everyone was really lovely on site, will be going back.

A lovely stay

Lovely site and good walks. Only downside is the proximity of the main road.

Relaxing and quiet

We had lovely 2 days at Pinecones Caravan and Camping site. The facilities were lovely and clean. The campsite itself is off the A149 so is very easy to find. Plenty of space between pitches. Found the staff very helpful. Would definitely go back. Thanks.
