VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2025 Fancied a nights camping so picked Swallows barn...no fuss well kept field with stunning views. Toilet and water available.
Lovely peaceful site only a few miles to Cheddar and shops.
Will definitely use again, @ £10 it was a really good deal.

Central location with Glastonbury, Cheddar, Wells, Weston S-Mare and other places nearby. Clean toilets. Wonderful value for money. Dog loved it. Nothing to complain about :)

Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches May 2025 What smashing views over Severn estuary and out to Wales. Lovely sunset provided too.
Simple site as advertised, no frills but priced as such. Great pub 5 mins walk away. Ideal base for a days walking on the Mendip hills. Park the car and go.

Lovely, peaceful campsite
VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches Apr 2025 Great campsite, booked late afternoon to arrive same evening! Portable toilet clean and always had toilet roll. Very peaceful, and lovely to see all the horses, sheep and lambs.

Perfect cheap location
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Apr 2025 Swallow Barn Farm was perfect for what we wanted, lots of people passing through for one night.
The location was perfect seems to be central for all local attractions and an Inn within a stone's through. Not much to choose from to pitch level but for £16 a night, happy as Larry.
A shower block would make this site perfect and the owner, though busy with the farm, was happy to help anyway he could.

Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Apr 2025 Found this when I was looking for somewhere last minute close to Chapterhouse where I was for a course.
A little bit off the beaten path and down a difficult single track road (be careful if in anything bigger than a car) but it was exactly what it said on the listing. A huge, open field at the back of the farm. Not as flat as it looks in the pictures, but there are certainly great areas if you arrive early or they aren't busy.
I stayed in April and was one of four parties, one large camper, 3 VWT series and another tent. You do park on the field at your own risk, but there are a few parking spaces off the field by one of the barns. The views are stunning, huge vistas and the light pollution is pretty low so great for star watching. The one portable loo was clean with plenty of paper but again if they were busy that might be a different story. It's also a bit wobbly, so be prepared for that if you need a 2am loo!
I would recommend it if you're looking for something cheap and cheerful for 1 or 2 night while you climbed or biked and I will use again if I'm in that area. The Sun Inn, which is 5 mins away, does great food and they seated 2 without a reservation. If you want quiet and great views, and somewhere pretty self contained, it's a great little find. If you are a family or have kids, you may want to look elsewhere as there is nothing on site for them so bring your own entertainment.

Nice site close to Cheddar Gorge
VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches Oct 2024 Chosen this site as close to Cheddar Gorge at a reasonable price. There are sites closer to Cheddar but were charging extortionate prices.
This was a nice field, lovely views and plenty of space. Owners leave you to it to enjoy your time there.
Close to a pub and a petrol station/shop.

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Sep 2024 This large field is all you need for pitching your tent. Fairly level field, a sink with cold water tap and a portaloo on site. Lovely view over the Bristol channel.

Nice, relaxed, basic site
VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2024 If you are after a basic, open plan site with great views, and are happy with just 2 portaloos and a sink, then this is highly recommended. Great pub a short walk away too.
Dog friendly with good walks straight from the site. We will be back next year.

A wonderful, tranquil spot
Sprinter-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches May 2024 I was lucky enough to have the whole site to myself and felt utterly blessed. A stunning view to the east and the sounds of birdsong and the farm. Perfection.

Peaceful, cheap and great views
Motorhome - Non Electric Grass Pitches May 2024 Stopped here for one night on our return travels. Fantastic little spot with great views all around of the Mendips. Peace and quiet and cheap with basic facilities no problem as we had a motorhome and didn't require anything else. Lovely guy that greeted us on arrival and even cut the grass before we picked a spot to park. Couldn't ask for more for that money. Great country pub just a couple of minutes walk away. Best nights sleep we have had in ages.

Lovely site
Motorhome - Non Electric Grass Pitches Sep 2023 Lovely site, amazing views, cracking pub a 2 minute walk away.
It is a basic site. It has toilets and fresh water, and it is also on a slight slope. This is more than made up be the incredible views, the peace and quiet. Loads of interesting walks across the road and a very nice pub a 2 minute walk across the campsite.
Would definitely stay there again.
