Sleningford Watermill Caravan and Camping Park is an award-winning, 20 acre park on the banks of the River Ure, near the Nidderdale Area of Oustanding Natural Beauty. The site welcomes tents, tourers and RVs across spacious grass pitches with the option of electric. Providing a peaceful haven for guests and a refuge for wildlife, the site has been awarded the David Bellamy Conservation Gold Award with plenty of countryside walks nearby too!

Our first camping trip as a family. Very glad we chose this site. Great facilities and pitches. Relaxing river to listen to and a beach of sorts for the kids to play at. Also, conditions depending, the river would be great for kayaking/paddleboarding etc. Further downstream from the beach is a calmer spot where there appeared to be much less of a current - potentially a good spot for calm water sports but obviously at everyone's own risk. Nice walks straight out of the site. The local pubs looked perfect but we didn't have the time to try either out. Also, a local post office and car garage. Would definitely go back at some point.

This was our first family trip out in our VW and it was absolutely faultless. The facilities were very clean and tidy, the owners were wonderful, very welcoming and helpful (along with their 2 lovely young girls). We had pitch number 25 for the evening, right by the river and my goodness it was beautiful. Fishing was a huge bonus, as my partner loves fly fishing! We will most certainly be back, next time for longer, as we really didn't want to leave!

This beautiful place is a must to visit! From the warm welcome to the beautiful location I was blown away with this caravan park, the facilities are immaculate and the showers are lovely and warm. We have never felt so relaxed and our little dog loved it too. Will definitely be visiting again soon.

We had a gorgeous spot right by the river, ideal for sitting, relaxing and chatting. Facilities were well kept and clean and the whole campsite was really well maintained. The shop was open into the evening, which is unusual to find on campsites and a real bonus - everyone we spoke to was really helpful. The showers were lovely and hot with good water flow. The one thing I'd like to see would be a small bench or shelf in the shower as not everything can hang on the door, not a big problem but would be a nice to have. The area itself is very picturesque with good walking routes from the campsite itself and bathing in the river was a real treat. Would definitely go back.

Had a great time on a pitch overlooking the river. No complaints. Everything worked and it is spotlessly clean internally and externally. Will be keeping this one on our list.

We stayed at Sleningford Watermill as a last resort really, while trying to get a site within 50 miles of home, which had electric hook-up. We took a punt and it paid off. Vicky helped us out right from the off and I can't thank her enough! I would say the site is ideal for people wanting to use the river or families just happy to be outside playing games and riding bikes etc. Beware people wanting to just watch YouTube or teenagers wanting to bury their faces In the Internet, the signal here is poor to say the least. We had both EE and 02 devices and both were poor. Apart from that, we loved it and would return.

We had a great stay at Sleningford, the site is beautiful and the facilities are really good. Very clean and a lovely hot shower. Vicky gave us a really warm welcome and recommended a great walk into Ripon. The local pubs in West Tanfield are a short walk off road and it was very easy to get to in our Motorhome. Our riverside pitch was just perfect. Definitely one to return to.

I visited SWM every year camping with my dad in the late 90's and this week, returned in a motorhome with my own young family! Great to be back! It hasn't changed much but it didn't need to! Got stuck in the wet grass but a tractor arrived promptly to tow us out!

A lovely spot on the banks of a river, lots of wildlife to enjoy and the site has a good length of river bank to enjoy. Owners are very friendly and helpful.

Stayed here for one night with VW camper and tent. Lovely location, stayed right next to the river which we could swim in. Plenty of space, so not cramped up with other campers. Toilet and shower facilities are all clean. Couldn't fault it, would stay again!

We had a great weekend here, we were on a non-electric pitch which was great as you could park wherever you wanted, any way round etc. The showers and toilets are good and cleaned at least 4 times a day. The site is lovely and quiet, you can swim, kayak, paddle board in the river.

The site is gorgeous with lots of campers using and enjoying the river to paddle board, walk by and play with their kids. The owners and managers were v friendly and helpful. Site is very clean and well organised and there's plenty of space around. The shop has all the bits and bobs campers could need. There are a couple of local pubs which should both be visited. Again these are welcoming with great food and beer. A lovely stay. Thank you.

I camped here for one night with my son and it was lovely. Really family friendly and a beautiful spot next to the river. It was quiet and we will definitely be back!

What a gem this campsite is. By the River Ure there. There is wildlife, fishing and kayaking. The site is well managed, very clean and has a small shop on site.
