Awesome campsite
Large Tent - Electric Grass Pitches May 2026 Staff were friendly and service was great. Campsite is kept in great condition and the facilities are excellent. Would definitely go back

Good location for the lake
Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches May 2026 Perfect location for our climb and the lake however, we were in the field furthest away, which meant quite a trek to the one toilet/shower block ,bins and shop. A small cut through would have been useful.
I would have expected another toilet block as people were queuing in the evening for showers. The bins were overflowing and the water for washing up and showers wasn't always hot, despite being in the allocated time frame. The facilities were clean, especially considering how busy it was and the shop was very useful, with a lovely pub a stone's throw away.

Toilet and shower block where always clean. The reception and small shop where handy and staff where very friendly.
The pub just outside of the campsite done very lovely meals.

Medium Tent - Electric Grass Pitches May 2026 Our stay at Church Stile Farm was fabulous. We stayed as two families with our dog and had no issues at all — we absolutely loved it.
Everything we needed was available on site. The service was excellent, the staff were very friendly, and the shop had a great selection of everything. The location was perfect, as all of our hikes started directly from the campsite.
At the weekend, they also offered delicious pizzas and nachos, which we really enjoyed. Highly recommended!
First camping experience was pretty much perfect
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches May 2026 I camped here with a friend with zero camping experience and I don't have a bad thing to say.
The people at reception were lovely, especially Phillipa who helped with all our questions and went out her way to help. The ground is well looked after, the same with the toilets and showers. The pub just round the corner is a little on the expensive side but it was the best veggie burger I've ever had and also have wonderful staff.
The coach service takes you to multiple exploring routes with incredible views along the way. I didn't catch the driver's name but he made the journey so fun, a top guy. I was also surprised about how well the phone reception was.
If you have a phobia of sheep, this is not the place for you.

Great Family Camping Break at Church Stile Farm
Large Tent - Electric Grass Pitches May 2026 Camping here was brilliant. The site had everything we needed, and the grounds and toilets were clean and well looked after.
The playground was a big hit with the kids, and there were lovely walks nearby. The farm shop was a real bonus, with all the essentials you’d need for a camping trip.
There was also a pizza van on site while we were there, which went down really well. Overall, a great place for a family camping break.
Wonderful experience
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches May 2026 We had a wonderful 3-night stay at this campsite over the weekend with my boyfriend and our dog. The views were absolutely beautiful and the whole atmosphere was so peaceful and relaxing.
The facilities were very clean and well maintained, and all the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The farm shop was also really well equipped which was a lovely bonus.
Another highlight was the beer festival at the pub just a 5-minute walk away it made the weekend even more enjoyable!
We had such a lovely experience and would definitely recommend this campsite to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway. We can’t wait to come back!

Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches May 2026 it was flawless, location is a bit out of the way so make sure you are prepared for that. However once there, the facilities and the staff are excellent and the site is impecable. clean and great to stay at

VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Apr 2026 Wonderful campsite nestled in a peaceful setting super quiet .
Clean , well stocked shop and lovely staff .
The only criticism I have is as a disabled person going to collect a key to go to the locked facilities was not great for me .
I used the normal facilities but wouldn’t probably stay again as I prefer the larger disabled facilities and privacy . Not all disabilities are visible .

Overall, a lovely place to stay - we'd definitely recommend it and will happily return again.

Short weekend stay
Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Sep 2025 Very impressive site! Despite the heavy rainfall the grounds were in good condition and soil drainage was amazing so didn't worry about tent getting flooded.
The last day the sun beamed and the views of the surrounding site blew us away, it was breath-taking!
Great reception staff who recommended Stanley Ghyll Waterfall to be a good trip and it was spectacular! Thank you I would highly recommend this site! Toilets were spotless too!

Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Sep 2025 The non - electric pitches field could have been Lords cricket ground if left unmount for a few months. Verdant, level and good depth of turf so you don't bend pegs. The combination of these basics can be hard to find.

Nice surroundings
Motorhome - Non Electric Hardstanding Pitches Sep 2025 Campsite in a ideal setting, surrounded by stunning views. Staff very helpful, lots of great walks. Sawmill cafe up the road a lovely place to get a bite to eat in nice surroundings. Pub close by, would recommended the steak.
Toilet and shower block needs updating, only 4 cubicles. We came out of season and I had to come back for a shower twice as they were all being used.
If the facilities could be upgraded and extended, I would give the place 5 stars.
