Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Jul 2026 What a find , lovely camp site , clean and tidy , even though we had a motor home we used the facilities and they were clean at all times . Staff were friendly and helpful . Will definitely be going back but for longer

VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Jul 2026 Wonderful stay, friendly staff, spotless site, x2 pubs on the doorstep, great little onsite shop with hot food and we also had a pizza from the street food van. definitely stay again. We went to climb Scarfel pike and we caught the local bus from outside camp site, it’s only £3 for all day and dropped us off at the start of our hike.

Great show/WC block and nice size shower cubicles. Nice on site farm shop sells ridiculously large sausage rolls!
Great pub with its own micro brewery is about a 30 second walk!
Will definitely stay again.

Motorhome - Non Electric Hardstanding Pitches Jul 2026 This is a lovely site. A real find for me. The location is perfect for both walking, and as a base for exploring the Wasdale area. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the facilities were kept very clean, and the grounds well maintained. There's even a really nice pub / brewery literally across the road. I'm definitely going back at some point.

Large Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2026 This site is in a great location if you want to avoid the crowds in the Lake District, very clean facilities and friendly staff.
The onsite shop has plenty of choice but on the expensive side!
I would highly recommend this campsite and will be coming back in the near future.

We stayed in a tent and there were lots of places to set up.
Facilities were clean and modern which is always a plus.

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Jun 2026 We stayed at the campsite for two nights and absolutely loved the mountain scenery. It's a beautiful place to stay, with easy access to many hiking trails. The facilities were clean, and after a long day in the mountains, it was a real comfort to come back and enjoy a hot shower. We would 100% recommend this campsite and will definitely be visiting again.

Good location for the lake
Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches May 2026 Perfect location for our climb and the lake however, we were in the field furthest away, which meant quite a trek to the one toilet/shower block ,bins and shop. A small cut through would have been useful.
I would have expected another toilet block as people were queuing in the evening for showers. The bins were overflowing and the water for washing up and showers wasn't always hot, despite being in the allocated time frame. The facilities were clean, especially considering how busy it was and the shop was very useful, with a lovely pub a stone's throw away.

Toilet and shower block where always clean. The reception and small shop where handy and staff where very friendly.
The pub just outside of the campsite done very lovely meals.

Medium Tent - Electric Grass Pitches May 2026 Our stay at Church Stile Farm was fabulous. We stayed as two families with our dog and had no issues at all — we absolutely loved it.
Everything we needed was available on site. The service was excellent, the staff were very friendly, and the shop had a great selection of everything. The location was perfect, as all of our hikes started directly from the campsite.
At the weekend, they also offered delicious pizzas and nachos, which we really enjoyed. Highly recommended!
First camping experience was pretty much perfect
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches May 2026 I camped here with a friend with zero camping experience and I don't have a bad thing to say.
The people at reception were lovely, especially Phillipa who helped with all our questions and went out her way to help. The ground is well looked after, the same with the toilets and showers. The pub just round the corner is a little on the expensive side but it was the best veggie burger I've ever had and also have wonderful staff.
The coach service takes you to multiple exploring routes with incredible views along the way. I didn't catch the driver's name but he made the journey so fun, a top guy. I was also surprised about how well the phone reception was.
If you have a phobia of sheep, this is not the place for you.

Great Family Camping Break at Church Stile Farm
Large Tent - Electric Grass Pitches May 2026 Camping here was brilliant. The site had everything we needed, and the grounds and toilets were clean and well looked after.
The playground was a big hit with the kids, and there were lovely walks nearby. The farm shop was a real bonus, with all the essentials you’d need for a camping trip.
There was also a pizza van on site while we were there, which went down really well. Overall, a great place for a family camping break.
