Second time we've here as a stop over as just off the M6. very clean and well maintained and staff really friendly

Little Acre Campsite

This adult only site is brilliant. The M6 is far enough from the site for there to be no drone of motorway traffic which is fantastic. The site is clean, excellently maintained and boasts 2 toilet blocks. You receive a warm welcome upon arrival. The pitch which we had allocated was very level although some aren't. Ramps are provided on the pitches where you require to level your vehicle.

Beautiful site

What a lovely find! Just off the M6, yet really quiet. When we arrived the owner came out and greeted us, he let us know where all the facilities were and the best place for food and walks. There is a canal opposite the site and it was a lovely peaceful walk with the dogs. Showers and toilets were spotless and although you needed to pay 20p for the shower it was totally worth it! Thank you for a lovely stay, we will definitely be returning.

Lovely quiet adults only camp site

Lovely little adults only campsite. Very quiet! Super friendly owner who greeted us on arrival. Very dog friendly. Spacious pitches (we did have a hard standing on the edge of the camping field). Very modern & super clean facilities - you do need 20p for showers!!! 10 min drive to the nearest supermarket. The pub over the road was very busy and we couldn’t get a table so highly recommend booking! We will be returning to this site for sure!!

Little acres was a gem

Great site with exceptional modern toilet facilities and friendly staff. It was a very short walk to a lovely pub & restaurant and pretty walks along a canal. Would highly recommend.

Must visit

Our second stay and didn't disappoint. Perfect little site, everything about it was great value, local for canal walks. Bus service if you don't want to unhook, local pub with great food, views, fabulous amenities, friendly host.

Serene Adult Site

An ideal stop over night as we were driving to Scotland. Very clean toilet block and a beautifully maintained site.

Lovely well maintained campsite

Lovely campsite not far off M6. Very well maintained with lovely facilities. Fully serviced pitch did need to use ramps but these were provided by campsite on some pitches. Nice pub within walking distance. Walk along canal side just off site. Some of the lovely facilities were communal which is not to everyone’s taste but there was also a separate facility for Ladies or Gents only. Welcoming friendly owners.

Our five day stay

This was our stay at Little Acres, a small campsite on the Lancaster canal, in our very basic VW T2 and we had a very generous pitch which had some very welcome shade all-day with the temps in the high 20s. Facilities are modern, exceptionally clean and checked throughout the day The grass is beautifully mown and watered but entirely unobtrusively. Paul and Sarah couldn't be more helpful, the pub is across the road and we will be back! We will be back!

Perfect for Dog show

We have stayed a couple of times before, but not since the upgrade. An incredible little find - then and now! Our dogs were not only welcome, but were made welcome! The close proximity to the local showground, plus amazing walks along the Lancaster canal, made our trip really memorable. We will be back, there is no doubt.

Cracking little site near to M6 and restaurant bar

Found this place online while travelling home from Scotland. Perfectly placed near M6 just past Tebay heading south. Excellent facilities, although only one toilet and shower in the block nearest entrance. Walking distance to a nice hotel bar/restaurant. Paul was very efficient and welcoming.

Depending on which entrance you've come through, one of the facility blocks has 2 showers and 3 loos and the other block has 2 showers and 4 loos, so even when we're at capacity, we're not overwhelmed. A bit disappointing

The facilities are new and very clean. The area and especially the nearby pub are really pleasant. However, we found it quite rude for the owner to mow the lawn at 10am in the morning and going round the tents with his tractor while people were still asleep or having breakfast. so long for the quiet we had been looking for! Also, the showers aren't free. The sum is symbolic, like 20 pence for 3 minutes, but still, a bit of a disappointment.

Hello Marie, if you feel that it is rude for the owner of a caravan site to mow the lawn at 10am, then you may have many years of campervanning disappointment in the UK ahead of you. You are correct, the showers aren't free and this is something that is shown prominently in several places on the Campsites.co.uk listing that you booked through. If this is important to you, why book with a site that makes no secret of this? Paul & Sarah.

Never stayed on a cleaner site - our 3rd year here - really can’t fault it - ramps are necessary on some pitches

The vast majority of pitches at Little Acre are flat - but for the ones that aren't, for 2026, we now have ramps for people to use whilst they're here. Fantastic site

Superb site, best loo/shower block I’ve ever seen, well maintained grounds, decent sized pitches. Convenient as well, just a couple of miles from the M6. Adult only is a bonus for us 🙂 Friendly and helpful welcome from Paul.

Stunning first night away....this campsite is worlds apart.... Could actually live here.. welcome was spot on and so quiet... Really impressed and outstanding value for money compared to other sites

Lovely stopover

We arrived at the campsite we had been given clear instructions of directions and pitch number, we found the campsite lovely and clean , the facilities were also clean and fresh, the showers were worth every 20p , lovely hosts we would recommend this sight in a heartbeat.

Excellent site

Excellent site, not too far from home, meaning we can pop through after work on Friday and return home on Sunday. It is in an excellent location and the services were second to none. Staff are so friendly, I'm sure nothing would have been too much struggle. Very handy having the Crooklands Hotel nearby for a drink and meal, must book if you want a meal, it gets extremely busy. Garage down the road if you forget anything .

Fantastic friendly dite

Paul and Sarah made us feel welcome from the start to the end. They treated everyone as if they were family. Location was easy to get to, perfect as a walking base to soak up the gorgeous Lancaster Canal and sited next to the equally fantastic Crooklands Hotel. Our pitch was perfectly flat and well serviced. It is a very doggy friendly place too with numerous breeds to interact with and offer a pet. We would not hesitate to recommend it to any of our friends and will be back, hopefully with our own dog 🤞

Lovely relaxing couple of days at Litte Acres

My partner and I spent a couple of relaxing days at Little Acres campsite with our dog. It is a very well run place and the facilities are excellent. The owners are friendly and knowledgeable about the area. It is adults only and dogs which makes it very peaceful. The local Inn has delicious food and is very charming. The location is great if you want to go sightseeing. Would recommend Arisdale and Silverdale for day trips by the sea. Overall a great place to stay..
