Extremely happy with our one night stay. We would have stayed longer if it wasn't for the fact that we had other commitments. Host was very friendly, super efficient and very accomodating. Site was clean, tidy, inviting and relaxing. We liked the ginger cat at reception too . We will stay again without doubt

Site's response

Hello Oliver You were very welcome to stay with us for one night and if/when you are in the are again, it would be lovely to host you. The ginger cat aka the Ginger Ninja has been great for customer relations this year ! Paul

Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding PitchesJul 2026

This is our 2nd visit here, and there will definitely be more. It is an adult only site, which suits us down to the ground. The site is just by the canal, so lovely walks. Quite easy to get to Lancaster, Carnforth, Kendal, Kirkby Lonsdale and within easy reach of the lakes. There is a nice pub/restaurant across the road. It is a lovely, quiet site, which is very well kept. The toilet and shower facilities are so very clean, with shampoo, conditioner and body wash if you need it. You need 20p's for the shower, for 3 minutes. The shower is probably the best shower we have had on a campsite. We would highly recommend this site and will certainly be back, numerous times.

Site's response

Hi Diane Thank you for coming back to Little Acre and this time for even longer than before ! Enjoy your travels and we'll see you again. Paul & Sarah

Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding PitchesJul 2026

We had a lovely short stay here :) Site was spotless, as were the facilities! 2 toilets and a shower in the ladies, showers at 20p for 3 minutes, more than enough for a quick shower but I did need two when I had to wash my hair! However, spotless, couldn't fault them, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, hand wash, hairdryer! Best I've been to by far. Lovely staff, always friendly and spoke as they passed, we also got some recommendations as we were leaving to go elsewhere. Elsan point on site, bins for rubbish, water and electric hook up! The Crooklands Hotel close by was great, food lovely, patio at the back and seats at the front. All in all, a great, relaxing stay, would definitely be back! :)

Site's response

Hello Lisia Thank you for staying with us recently and for rating us as 5*'s on campsites.co.uk. I'm glad that your relaxing stay worked so well for you and it'd be lovely to host you again. Paul

Great small site. Lovely location with a bus stop across the road, next to the pub which serves good food (huge portions). The facilities were new and spotless. It’s 20p for 3 mins in the shower but toiletries are provide which is a nice touch and they are spacious, warm & well thought out. Paul and Sarah have done a great job. We’ll definitely be back.

Site's response

Hi Glenda Thank you so much for the lovely review and it would be lovely to host you again on your travels. Paul

Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding PitchesJul 2026

An outstanding site in every way Paul and Sarah were so helpful, the facilities are outstanding and so very clean. Toilets and showers are checked and cleaned at least twice a day. We have toured Scotland for 2 weeks staying on sites for one two or at most three nights. Little Acre is by far the best site of the many we stayed on so much so that we stayed and extra night.

Site's response

Thank you Mary. It's always nice to host someone on their way up for a touring trip around Scotland and then host them a little while later when they're heading home again ! Paul & Sarah

Little Arce Holiday Park is a really lovely site, the facilities are excellent with everything you need. We enjoyed a trip to Kendal on the bus to visit the museum. The walk along the canal is beautiful.

Site's response

Hi Noeleen Thank you for leaving such a lovely review of your recent stay at Little Acre. Having a bus service 200 yards away that takes you to Kendal (& onto the Lakes) or Kirkby Lonsdale is getting used more and more each year. Paul & Sarah

Roof Tent - Electric Hardstanding PitchesJul 2026

Little Acre is a fantastic smaller campsite and we had an amazing stay here for 3 nights in our Tent Box with our dog. The facilities are amazing with a very modern toilet and shower block alongside the washing up area too. There is the most beautiful local pub within walking distance which we went to twice during our stay (booking is a must though!) and a lovely little canal walk for the evenings. There's also a petrol station with a shop a short drive away for any essentials you might need. The location of the site is wonderful, being so close to the Lake District. There was some slight road noise from the local roads and the nearby M6 but this did not affect our stay or sleep and the campsite is very quiet in every other aspect! My only suggestion would potentially be for a microwave which could be used as an option for campers for meals as it's been a very useful facility at other campsites! We loved our stay here and are already planning on coming back in September following a family wedding in the Lake District.

Site's response

Hi Shannon Thank you for the lovely review of your recent time at Little Acre and hopefully we'll be able to host you again in September. Until quite recently, we had a fridge, freezer and microwave onsite for customers to use and they were very popular - sadly, they weren't popular with our insurers, who wanted to place such conditions on their use as to make them completely unviable. Maybe they'll relent in the future and once again its a service that I can offer. Paul

VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding PitchesJul 2026

Upon arrival, we were greeted by a very friendly gentleman (sorry did not get his name) who explained where everything was and directed us to our pitch (30), which was a lovely, flat pitch with a generous grass area The toilet block was the best we have seen, it was on par with a hotel bathroom room. 20p for 3 minutes in the shower was a bargain in these facilities. Excellent Wi-Fi to watch the game in the early hours. All together a fantastic site and we will be back.

Site's response

Thank you Kevin I'm glad that you enjoyed your time with us and it'll be lovely to host you again. Paul

A beautiful campsite. A very relaxed atmosphere from the campsite team, which made us feel very relaxed. The showers and toilets are probably the best we have ever stayed at. extremely clean with lots of little extras to make a more comfortable stay. There are some beautiful walks along canal and there is a lovely pub over the road serving great food. we only stayed one night , as we were on our way to Scotland but we will definitely be back for a longer stay. many thanks Kellie Wray

Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding PitchesJun 2026

This adult only site is brilliant. The M6 is far enough from the site for there to be no drone of motorway traffic which is fantastic. The site is clean, excellently maintained and boasts 2 toilet blocks. You receive a warm welcome upon arrival. The pitch which we had allocated was very level although some aren't. Ramps are provided on the pitches where you require to level your vehicle.

Site's response

Hi Gordon That's really kind of you to say - thank you very much. Enjoy your travels and hopefully we'll be able to host you again. Paul & Sarah
