Beautiful place to camp
Large Tent - Non-Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2024 We stayed at the campsite for 4 nights and it did not disappoint. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted in the reception. Very friendly and happy. We were guided through the map before we set off to put our tent up. They went above and beyond to help us out.
The shower/toilet blocks were spotless every time we went in them, also the washing up area. Well kept grounds and plenty of space. As soon as we were unpacked, we went off to the lake for fishing. We did everyday, such a beautiful place, the woodlands and walk/ playing field and we will definitely be back. The shop on site was very reasonable and we hired a fire pit for our stay.
We had 4 children and they all said it's the best campsite they have stayed at. It's not too far from any direction if you want to explore Devon more. But, it's also very relaxing just to stay there, we will be back.
Great first time camping
Large Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2024 This was our first time camping and it didn’t disappoint. We had a great 2 night stay at Kingsmead. The facilities were spotless and the campsite was so well maintained. We will definitely be back.

Large Tent - Non-Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2024 Lovely overnight stay with my sister and two dogs. Found some local walks and places to eat. Very welcoming and had some lovely neighbours willing to help us put up our tent, would definitely recommend.

Made very welcome by Jodie and facilities immaculately clean. Very wet weather, yet pitches terraced and on gravel, so no getting stuck in the mud. Perfect for an early or late season break.
A great peaceful relaxing location in amongst nature. Will definitely be back.

Keep it quiet

It's such a peaceful & beautiful site. The facilities are kept extremely clean & were well heated during the very cold weather. My wife & I are looking forward to returning in the near future to one of best sites we have stayed on.

Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Touring Pitches Aug 2023 Easy to find with the photos and directions given by text, excellent site set in the woods and the lake make for a very peaceful site. Lovely walks with our dog.
We had a lovely pitch easy to park & to hookup and enjoyed a lovely evening sat in the sunshine with a glass if wine!! Toilet & shower block were excellent and nice welcome & check in, nice little shop with essentials.
Only problem for us was we turned left out of the gate looking for what we thought was a pub and village shops but with our motorhome the small lane proved quite tricky!!
But we did enjoyed our stay. Thank you…
Great natural setting
Yurt - Woodland Yurt (Dog Friendly) Jul 2023 What a lovely find - a beautiful green haven, with the yurt having a private setting. A bonus is the private bathroom. The teenagers were happy to end each exploring day with some Wi-Fi downtime, the best of both worlds. We also had a warm, friendly reception.
Amazing 2 nights away
Bell Tent - Snowdrop Stargazer Bell Tent (Dog Friendly) Jul 2023 Absolutely lovely place to go and take the children. The tent was lovely, it was big and we had a last minute change with amount of adults coming and they facilitated it with absolutely no hassle as all. Lovely staff.
Only thing I will say is I had the music on (not very loud) and a guy did come and tell us to turn the music off and that is was banned from the site. But no biggy, I don't see why it was a problem on low. Other than that amazing 2 nights away.

Very helpful and friendly staff. We stayed in the Lily Pad bell tent. It was very clean and everything was provided for us.
