Lovely location
Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Apr 2025 Beautiful location, riverside woodland, lots of wildlife. Aberfoyle and shops an easy 1 3/4 mile walk along a level footpath.
The lodge forest information centre just outside Aberfoyle is excellent with lots of way marked walks.
Beautiful, clean site
Single Axle Caravan - Electric Gravel Pitches Mar 2025 The welcome was warm, all the shared facilities were spotless and the handyman/cleaner was really friendly and always up for a chat.
Lovely location on a bend in the River Forth with little beach area, which was great when weather dry. Nice, flat meadow hardstanding pitch.
Then came rain, and it poured and poured. We left a day early only because of the wet weather. We hope to return.

Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Mar 2025 Great location, just 2 miles from Aberfoyle, accessed on foot along a safe cycle route if you fancied a walk in. Warm welcome on arrival. Parked up. Sorted.
Very clean toilet block with piping hot water. Shower block was separate to toilets but just a few steps beyond and though my wife would have preferred them together, it wasn't any hassle. It was a quiet time of year but for whatever reason, only two showers were open in our block.
All in all, I would recommend.

VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Mar 2025 Lovely woodland pitch next to the river and walking path leading to Aberfoyle and Doon Hill along the way. Lovely campsite with excellent facilities.

Fantastic site
Motorhome - Electric Gravel Pitches Feb 2025 Stayed here 3 nights of a 5 night jaunt in our motorhome.
I arrived on opening day for the 2025 season and Oliver in reception greeted me warmly and was very kind and helpful. He acknowledged me by name throughout our stay despite the many other guests staying there. That really means something on a customer service level.
The area was ideal for our love of long walks with a very energetic doggo. Will definitely stay here again and recommend to others. The pitches were ideal and all the facilities were spotlessly clean and well maintained, some of the toilet and shower blocks looked brand new, too.

VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Nov 2024 I had the most therapeutic weekend at this site, even though it was raining I thoroughly enjoyed having this campsite as my base. The people that run the site were very nice and helpful, they worked very hard at keeping the place clean and tidy. It was not easy for them as the weather was not doing them any favours. They were out leaf blowing and cleaning all the facilities every morning, noon and night.
There are very good walks to Aberfoyle and Gartmore which 95 percent of it is the safe cycle and walking route through some nice countryside. As I walked by the side of the River Forth, I had the pleasure of listening to nature.
I will return again soon but it may have to wait till January 2025.Thanks James 😊

Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Oct 2024 Lovely campsite. Toilets spotlessly clean. Great walk over the bridge into Aberfoyle.
Watch your arrival time as they say 6pm but reception closes at 5pm. We had to ring a bell and wait. Don't leave early, like at 8am as there are barriers to stop you. We managed to lift them ourselves.

VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Hardstanding Pitches Sep 2024 Wow, first time here and can't wait to come back. Set in the most beautiful location on the River Forth, minutes drive from Aberfoyle & Loch Ard.
Great, little coffee van onsite that also does yummy bacon rolls. A wood fired pizza van turned up on Sat night although we didn't eat pizza and opted for the Fairie Inn in Aberfoyle.
If you like walking, there are gorgeous forest trails all around, so the dog just loved exploring.
Highly recommend.

Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Sep 2024 The site was well run and very clean. The food availability was super. The walks and cycle routes were well sign posted and tidy. The park was lovely.

VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Pitches Sep 2024 This site was really quiet with a small river at the the entrance. The toilets and showers was immaculate and smells really clean and fresh. the staff were very pleasant.
There is a disabled toilet with a shower inside, the cleaner Informed me of this.
Overall, I would definitely return to this site and a bonus, it's dog friendly, so your fur babies can go along.

Our visit Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2024 I would have given a higher score but we had an issue with the toilets as they decided to clean them all at the same time. This resulted in people having to trek up a hill far from the site to use the loo.
Why close them all at the same time? The laundry facilities consisted of one machine which meant we could not do our laundry.

There were lots of lovely walks right on the door step, the campsite was full but very quiet at night.
Lovely family site
Large Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2024 Great site for families, clean facilities and a great little shop for essentials. Nice little play park for younger children. On site coffee and snacks van.
Would like to see perhaps a games room for older kids, table tennis or pool.
Lovely little beach area a short walk through the woods, great for a dip and roasting marshmallows.

Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Jul 2024 Perfect site for our very first camping trip as family of 4. Kids absolutely loved the site, place was spotless. Loved all the little added details of fairy lights and more. Staff were super friendly.

Only slight criticism, could do with another washer and drier. Loved the whole stay. Highly recommend it.
A great family camp trip

The facilities were kept clean a few times every day, even with the poor weather during our stay. The only thing missing was a little drier weather. Still enjoyed.
