Bell Tent - Bell Tent (Dog Friendly)Jul 2025

I booked this beautiful bell tent on Cae Ddel to take some downtime and relax with my dog and it truly exceeded expectations. The bell tent is situated in a lovely setting in it's own area, with a gas BBQ and carved wooden table and chairs plus a wooden chef's bench which houses pots and pans, a kettle, a fabulous little rucksack with all manner of utensils and kitchen wear plus more. Outdoor solar lights complete the pretty picture. The tent itself is beautiful and spacious with rugs and cushions, lighting and a place to hang a few clothes or your towels. There's lots of little attention to detail to make your stay pleasant. The site itself is quiet and rewilded with beautiful wild flowers throughout and a natural feel to it and a greener ethos. Showers and toilets were excellent and very nicely done in tune with the rustic ethos of the site. I especially liked the 2 bigger showers that had a full dressing area too. Everything was immaculately clean the whole time we were there and Frances was super helpful and always available to help. Robin, my dog, loved the dog field and the walk around the woods. There's a lovely little path to follow which is laid with slate which was great. The site is in an excellent location for visiting the area and we were in easy reach of Portmadog, Portmeirion, the beautiful beaches of Harlech and Barmouth, as well as the Llyn Peninsula, and Snowdon is a short drive too. Just of note, there doesn't appear to be any direct walking routes from the site so you do have to drive to go places, but you are not far from many lovely walks or activities. My only feedback would be that I wish I'd known how well equipped it was as it would have saved me bringing so much stuff! A full inventory would have been most welcome. If you're looking for a quiet break in nature close to all the area has to offer this is a great site with luxury touches. I'd highly recommend.

Small Tent - Non Electric Wild Woodland PitchesJul 2025

We really enjoyed our stay at Cae Ddel campsite. We stayed for 2 nights on one of the woodland pitches. It was a lovely secluded spot right next to a pond, and close to the facilities. The facilities were great, everything we needed was there, and it was all spotlessly clean. Would definitely recommend this campsite to others!

Lovely, peaceful campsite

Bell Tent - Bell Tent (Dog Friendly)Jun 2025

Only stayed 1 night in the Bell tent, but it was a lovely, peaceful break in our journey. Good clear instructions prior to arrival and a friendly welcome from Frances when we arrived. Very quiet site with lovely hot showers and excellent facilities. Our dog loved the dog field which was an added bonus .

Worth a stay!
