I didn’t really research the site but couldn’t believe our luck. The site was spotless and better facilities than any other site I’ve stayed at before. Great toilet facilities, immaculately clean. My only wish is we booked to stay longer. Will

Perfect stay
Medium Tent - Medium Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2026 Booked 3 nights with a medium tent. Pitch was great and near the river which my son loved. Facilities were great and very clean. Little shop was well stocked. Plus in a beautiful area where you can walk right out of your tent.

Medium Tent - Large Electric Grass Pitches (Adult Only) Aug 2026 Great campsite, everything you need and the extra touches e.g shop, bar and cafe make it much more enjoyable! Facilities are really clean and well maintained. Staff were really helpful and friendly. The views from the site were amazing and nothing was too far of a drive!

Sprinter-Type Campervan - Fully Serviced Hardstanding Pitches Aug 2026 We’ve stayed here a couple of times in Jacks shepherds hut but this was our first time in our new camper van and we can’t fault this site at all, it’s got everything you need, can’t recommend this place enough…..
A genuine, lovely campsite
Medium Tent - Medium Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2026 The staff here are really friendly, if you have any issues, they deal with it straight away.
The plots are very spacious and larger than you think you are getting. The toilets and shower blocks were cleaned regularly, so we're never in a bad state. The shop was really handy, last minute camping accessories, daily sundries, milk and evening drinks for adults.
The checking in process was easy, code worked well, staff were there to meet us and checkout was just up stakes and leave. The site was very good with the dog friendliness, free dog bags if you ask for them and bins on site. There's a lovely river that's brilliant for having a splash in and the kids love it. A table tennis area and football pitch.
At weekends, the site also does hot food. We were able to get cooked breakfast for 2 mornings of our stay and a pizza dinner on a Wednesday on site which was handy.
The village of Hope is a couple of minutes walk down the road, has good eating out opportunities and a Spar shop that stocks everything. Only downside was that it's close to a main road and a railway line, so if you're a light sleeper, these do keep you up.

Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Pitches (Adult Only) Aug 2026 Super site with well kept grounds and facilities. Bus route outside the site that takes you to Bakewell for £3. Can access many of the small villages along the route. Also, from the same stop a Sightseeing Bus for £14. Would definitely visit again.

Super friendly and helpful greeting, show to our pitch and given a comprehensive low down on where everything is. 5 min walk into the village, train station over the road if you want to venture further afield.

Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Aug 2026 The best site we have been on with our motorhome. Everything was new and clean. Big bonus was having the Hope train station just a few minutes away.

The road noise was a little 'out there' but blends away after a day or two.

4 days hiking whilst camping at Laneside Medium Tent - Medium Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2026 Fantastic site with great facilities. The staff were always happy to help with anything I needed, including late checkout for additional £10. Turned out that I didn’t need it but it was nice to know I had the pitch until 4pm if required.
The facilities were very clean and fresh, and they were cleaned daily whilst we were there.
The weekend breakfast serving was very welcome and enjoyable.
The location is superb if you like walking. You can get to most of the popular walks by foot or a very short drive.
Located in Hope and a stones throw away from Castleton and Hathersage, all of which are perfect for food, drinks or just a wander around.
Will certainly be coming back.

Beautiful site
Medium Tent - Medium Non Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2026 A lovely site! Friendly staff, clean facilities and beautifully kept grounds. The river was the highlight for my daughter, who spent most of her time wading in it, such a wonderful experience for children. We were thrilled when we found out they had a cafe open for breakfast every morning and fresh pizzas on Wednesday evenings. Can’t recommend this site enough.

Medium Tent - Medium Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2026 Thanks for a wonderful stay, from start to finish our stay was fantastic, Staff were friendly and welcoming , the location was perfect for getting out and about with plenty of places to walk to including the local drinking establishments in Hope Village, treated ourselves to a lovely Coffee from Pitch to Plate on site, may try a breakfast sandwich next time, Booked again for the end of August, would definitely recommend this campsite 🏕️
