Excellent Campsite with brilliant Activites!
Large Tent - Electric Grass Lake View Pitches Aug 2026 we loved our 2-night stay here. campsite spacious, clean and tidy. i (Dad) went with my 3 kids aged 10-13 and did some of the activities led by great instructors. the Site is a little remote but good for a half hour drive to Bournemouth Centre. would definitely recommend and will likely stay there again
Fantastic 2 nights camping
Medium Tent - Non Electric Lake View Grass Pitches Aug 2026 Went camping with my two sons, they loved it, made loads of friends similar age, everyone at the site employee or guest were really friendly. Toilets and facilities were ok, activities were fully booked, but I should have booked them before I arrived! Great location within the new forest.
Nice but basic
Medium Tent - Electric Grass and Earth Tent Pitches Aug 2026 The campsite was nice, but the facilities were basic and far apart. Quite frustrating with planes flying overhead through the night and early morning.
Could've done with some closer toilets, we stayed in the escape area. You can't drive your car to your pitch in this bit which makes it very hard work in 32° to put your tent up.
Good family campsite
Large Tent - Non Electric Lake View Grass Pitches Aug 2026 We had a lovely time, the facilities are very clean, no issues with hot water in the shower as there sometimes can be with camping.
It was a shame that the activities had to be pre-booked and there wasn't much for younger children, but the older kids really enjoyed the activities that they managed to do. Staff were all very lovely and were great with the kids.
We felt that the 10pm noise limit was quite early compared to other campsites, plus, ironically, between 10pm-12am was when the majority of flights from the airport came over which are very loud!
Overall a great location with lots nearby as well.

Large Tent - Electric Grass Lake View Pitches Jul 2026 Really enjoyed our stay here for 3 nights! Quiet by 10pm and everyone adhered to this. Reception were extremely helpful when we needed help and couldn’t be any happier with the service and cleanliness of the toilets and showers.
Fun and active campsite
Medium Tent - Electric Grass Lake View Pitches Jul 2026 We (as parents) had a very relaxing time. Kids made friends and went to play in the wonderful surroundings. Great activities for the children (and adults). Helpful and friendly staff. Clean facilities.

VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Lake View Grass Pitches Jul 2026 We have had a wonderful time away. The location of the site is superb. We explored the grounds and made use of the shady tree areas in the day. The lake is beautiful.
You definitely need to book ahead for activities. We didn't but still did archery which was fun. The instructor was great but the equipment wasn't great. Bows didn't hold the arrows in position and many arrows had quills missing or were wonky, so didn't shoot straight.
The shop is reasonable in price and stocks the basics.
One thing we didn't like was the mixed toilets and showers. My daughter (11) normally feel confident going by herself felt quite intimidated by men being in there and I have to say it was not comfortable from my perspective either. If it was just families, then the mixed genders would probably have felt fine.
Great location and campsite/activity centre
Medium Tent - Non Electric Forest Floor Tent Pitches (Dog Friendly) Jul 2026 First-time camping here for 2 nights during early July. Can't fault the location and variety of activities available. Stayed in the forest camping area and good size pitches, communal firepits that were not busy, and relatively quiet sleeping, barring pockets of voices, laughing, etc. Bit of drone with the low flying planes but largely finished by 11pm. Slept great with earplugs!
Forest camping meant we avoided the dreaded early sunrise heat and was able to sleep soundly through 8am.
Lots of activities, in fact more than is likely achievable in 2 days with teens. Bit of a mish-mash of old buildings and newer facilities, bike trails, lake, and sports courts. Bathrooms and showers were spotless in the forest camping section - no complaints at all.

Small Tent - Non Electric Lake View Grass Pitches May 2026 Stayed here recently. Firstly, site itself is great, staff were amazing and really friendly. On site shop reasonably priced.
There was a fantastic range of activities for kids on site however I didn't explore these myself. The energy on the site was great.
The only issues we noted were that the pond on site did not seem clean at all and unfortunately, this was quite gross looking - not an issue if you booked forest camping though!
Additionally, the lake side toilets and showers were quite limited and unisex. On our first days, they were not clean at all and remained dirty throughout the afternoon and evening and did not seem to be cleaned in this time. As the site got quieter, they did appear a lot cleaner to be fair.
Perfect little get away for the family
Large Tent - Non Electric Forest Floor Tent Pitches (Dog Friendly) May 2026 Such a lovely campsite and location. As we only had 3 nights, we stayed around the campsite which was lovely.
Unfortunately, as our youngest is only 4, there's no activities we could do with her but apart from that, there was a brilliant selection of activities to do for everyone else. We had a beautiful walk around the site, all the guests were really friendly too and met some amazing friends there. The kids loved being free and just in nature. The toilet/shower blocks were always clean and the water was a good temperature in the showers too!
We stayed on the forest floor section of the site and I will say it was a little hard to work out our pitch site, as the numbers/pitch area weren't that visible but once we worked it out, it was a really good size.

Excellent campsite and perfect location
Twin Axle Caravan - Electric Hardstanding and Grass Motorhome Pitches (Dog Friendly) May 2026 We bought a caravan and decided to take it here for its first trip. It is an excellent campsite with play areas for the kids to enjoy and a lovely bike ride around the campsite, which was perfect for kids to enjoy. We also did the tree top trail which was also brilliant and my son loved it!
The location was also fantastic, with a local Co-op only 5 minutes in the car. We also visited Highcliffe beach which also wasn't far and was a brilliant and not overly crowded beach to visit.
Overall, we had a fantastic stay here and only wish we booked longer!

Motorhome - Electric Grass Lake View Pitches Apr 2026 Loved the place, clean tidy. Only downside, the girls didn't like the shared shower but that's camping life in my opinion.
