Clear filters Loved it
Large Tent - Large Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2025 Easy to book with good communication from start. Easy to understand arrival instructions.
We were taken to our pitch which was spacious enough for vehicle and tent. There is a specific way to park vehicle and put tent so you are not crammed in. Campsite busy with range of ages but everyone was pleasant that we met/were near. Great facilities, toilets and showers clean and well maintained. Even got a bathing area for dog!
Little shop on-site but did not visit. Great bar and different foods available (butty van Sat and Sun morning), Mexican Fri night and pork sarnies Sat night. Great little dog walk field and lots of walks nearby.
Hope is a five mins walk away with pubs, café and Indian. Further afield you've got Castleton, Hathersage etc. This place reminded us why we love camping and we will definitely back!
It is a bit more pricey than some but worth it in our opinion.
Well maintained
Medium Tent - Large Electric Grass Pitches (Adult Only) Aug 2025 Site is well maintained, plenty of space, toilets were being cleaned early (9-11) which was a bit of a pain, although 2 blocks made it hard and hard to wait for Shower/toilet.
Site is located 5 mins walk from Hope, nice pubs and discount available at one of them.
We were located on the road side. However, the noise throughout the night from the trucks travelling to and from the nearby quarry site was rather tiresome.
Overall a nice site, would recommend to others but be aware directly on main road and can be very noisy.
Hot stuff at Laneside Caravan Park
Small Tent - Small Electric Grass Tent Pitch Aug 2025 We had a fantastic time at Laneside Caravan Park. The pitch was great for our small tent and we also had access to electricity. The little river was lovely to walk in and paddle in after a long hot day. The facilities were all good and clean and working. Great customer service too…and…the pub is a very short walk too. I would highly recommend this campsite.
Outstanding find!
Aug 2025 A gem of a campsite to find.
Beautiful location with great views and a burbling river at the bottom of the site. Great facilities which are very accessible, including larger 'disabled' shower and toilet facilities. They are also kept remarkably clean.
The staff are excellent and the onsite shop is really good for all the items you left at home. Staff are very knowledgeable about the local area and ready to recommend walks or where to drive to. A very welcoming and well organised site with quality pitches. The nearby Hope is lovely.
The only possible negative is the levels of road noise, but for that you gain great access with no goat tracks to navigate to the site.
Highly recommended.
Nice site but noisy road
Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Pitches (Adult Only) Aug 2025 Very attractive site, kept in great condition but the noise from the road is very intrusive.
The toilets/showers are kept clean and tidy but there are just about enough to cope, meaning occasional waiting time. Sink plugs in the old block are non existent, whilst the new block is too small.
Lovely break
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches (Adult Only) Aug 2025 We had a lovely long weekend stay at Laneside.
We arrived after 6pm but an envelope was left for us with our pitch number and info of the site. Site was beautifully kept, planted tubs everywhere it was really pretty.
Showers were very modern and very clean.
Staff were all really helpful with info about the local area. Shop was well stocked with essentials and ice creams!
Got discount at the Woodroofe arms pub in Hope village as we mentioned we were staying at Laneside which was really nice.
Lovely weekend do we will definitely be booking in again

Lovely place
Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Aug 2025 Arrived at the site and was greeted by a very friendly man who explained everything to us and then took us to our pitch.
Very good amenities in the site. Also very close to Hope so very easy to walk to - either by road or through the field on the opposite side of the road.
Would definitely book there again, and also recommend to friends and family.
Nice site but a tad noisy

Toilets and showers really clean and well maintained. Hard standing pitches a good size and really level. However, the noise throughout the night from the trucks travelling to and from the nearby quarry site was rather tiresome.

Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Aug 2025 Great location very warm welcome, very clean and practical facilities overall a very nice site. Close to the lovely village of Hope, with good pubs, and a two mile walk to Castleton which is a tremendous place to visit.

For a quiet night away after some exploring, this was a lovely place to stay. Close to some wonderful areas and places to wander.

Slightly too many pitches on the adult only field, the tents on the ends of the grass middle part made it feel a little packed in.
Amazing extras with a mobile pub and various food options. We loved the fact we could walk to Hope and Castleton and the bus and train looked very well used by campers. All together convenient. We walked from the site during our stay to Castleton one day and over to Lady Bower the other day. Absolutely spot in location. Showers busy.
Only real, very very minor criticism, is you could not dry your hands in the toilet area but had to open the door with wet hands and go to the hand dryer by the door which then automatically opened, it seems a strange system.
Overall, highly recommend the site, a lot of thought has gone into the set up and catering for the needs of campers.
Stay in our motorhome
Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Jul 2025 Site was very busy but there was no noise at night except a slight noise from the nearby road.
Plenty of choice for food at the weekend. New shower block is well designed and clean. Close to Hope and a lovely walk across the fields to Castleton though a few styles.
Excellent dog walking field a short walk out of the park. Would recommend this site!
Excellent campsite

Very nice facilities that were cleaned frequently and lovely hot showers. They also had a fish and chip van on a Saturday night, and a horse van bar and breakfast van on weekends. We stayed in a tent and the medium pitch size was perfect for a 4/5 man. Will definitely be staying again. Very strict noise restrictions from 10.30 which suited us completely.
Has ping-pong and a nice covered seating area. Close to lovely pubs and walks straight from the site. Really loved our stay and will be back soon!

Comfortable walk into Castleton for food at The George. Caught a train to Edale, lovely pubs too. Well worth a visit. Only one stop up from Hope, the service was very good.
Facilities were spot on. Clean and well maintained. All you need for your stay.

Medium Tent - Large Electric Grass Pitches (Adult Only) Jul 2025 Me and my boyfriend really enjoyed our experience with Laneside, We have camped out before but he always wanted to do Castleton. The site was brilliant it was looked after had amazing facilities friendly and close to where we needed to be.
For me I loved the morning wake up call from the cattle in the fields it reminds you where you are. We would definitely recommend and definitely be returning.
