Clear filters Long weekend
Large Tent - Big Berries Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2024 The only issue were with the toilets. A lot of people were getting stuck in them, as they weren't aware that the handle needs lifting to be able to turn the lock. Apart from that, it was a great stay.
Plenty of room and available facilities really close.

Great stay, excellent facilities and plenty of space Large Tent - Big Berries Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2024 We arrived to a large field with plenty of choice where to set up. Toilets and shower block were very clean and more than enough for the amount of visitors. It was hard to find a flat spot but the views were so worth it. We will be booking again.

Camping chaos Medium Tent - Big Berries Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2024 We stayed here at peak holiday time, although the site did not appear full. Big Berries camping field. Unbelievable that we had to walk quite a way off the camping field and up the hill, into the park home area, just to get a shower and wash our dishes. In the end, we drove round as I have mobility issues.
Moreover, the shower block had a limited number of shower cubicles. My daughter said there was just 2 showers in the ladies section (3 in gents). No wonder the queuing and delays and as stated, the field wasn't full. This block would have been shared with park home residents as well. The tent field did have a toilet block which was well kept, so I feel the site needs to re think things and add on a shower and sink washing facility block just for campers.
Also, the access lane up to the site is very narrow with just an odd few passing spots for oncoming traffic. More than once, traffic backed up really bad where drivers heading to the beach just piled through without looking or waiting for cars to come through from the other way.

Big Berries is a field that is rented out from the local farmer for the school holidays so we cannot put a toilet block in place. We do have a festival type portaloo in the field and the 2nd on park facility block is especially open for Big Berries campers.

Lovely location
Large Tent - Big Berries Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2024 A lovely location. However, facilities are a little far away with small children
We had a lovely few nights away camping. However, the facilities were too far away from the field and difficult with two small children. Also, the cleanliness of the facilities were a little grubby after a day's use. The toilet's in the centre of the field were also faulty, with two people (young lady and a child) getting locked in due to hard to use doors and locks.

We are aware that some people did not realise that the handles in the portacabin needed to be puled up to open the door.

Small Tent - Big Berries Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2024 The whole campsite was in a really nice place and was a small walk from the beach and amazing views!
My boyfriend and I stayed here, it was a really chill first little getaway! We also had a meal from the local pub, which was really nice and was very foggy, it felt so cosy in there!

The only time I had a problem, was to charge my phone, no plug sockets anywhere.

We have electric points in the laundry on the park, or we can charge your phone in the reception for a small fee.
Great time at Golden Cap!
Medium Tent - Big Berries Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2024 We had an amazing weekend at Golden Cap!
The campsite is huge and is located in a field, where you have various options for pitching your tent (at the bottom of the hill where it's more flat but no views on the sea, or at the top of the hill on a slope but with amazing views).
The facilities are very clean.
One thing I didn't really like is some people are turning on their car engine and leaving it on for a while to charge their equipment or listen to music.

They have truly thought of everything you might need, the showers and toilets were sparkling, amazing location.

Great camping on the Jurassic Coast
Medium Tent - Big Berries Non Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2024 We really enjoyed our stay in Big Berries camping field. The location is great and very peaceful. A short walk down to the beach where we found fossils with our children. We are new to camping, the facilities here seemed great and were cleaned regularly.
It was good to have the toilet block in the camping field with the facilities block a little further away. We got lucky with the best weather of the year so far, we spent a lot of time at the beach. There is pizza, ice cream, coffee and beer available from the hut by the beach.
It was a short drive to Lyme Regis, which was lovely. Our children aged 9 and 6 really enjoyed their first proper camping trip.

Lovely campsite
Medium Tent - Big Berries Non Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2024 Lovely campsite, close to the beach. The Big Berries field is the furthest away from the main entrance, so a 10 minute walk.
The toilet block wasn't operational in the field, so you had to walk to next field for main shower block. This was really clean and had everything you needed and most importantly, the showers were nice and hot.
Overall, a lovely site, well looked after and I would visit again.

The prices Large Tent - Big Berries Non Electric Grass Pitches May 2024 I found the toilets a little far to get to if you needed the toilet in the night, especially for young ones. No electric hook up is available for camping which I found difficult, being my first time with no electric. Nothing else negative except the fish and chip van was so busy it took 2 hours to queue and receive my dinner leaving the children hangry!

Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Pitches Sep 2023 Really good, clean facilities. Easy access to walking coastal path. Narrow lane for a 6m campervan but would certainly go again.

Excellent campsite
VW-Type Campervan - Big Berries Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2023 Stayed in the Big Berries field for three nights to walk the South West Coast Path from Lyme Regis around to West Bay. What a perfect location this site was for our needs. The site is situated a short walk from the beach for those wishing to go to the sea for the day.

Large Tent - Big Berries Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2023 Beautiful site with fab beach, pub and pizza, although we went to have a pizza before we left on the Wednesday, not realising that they were closed. So disappointing, as we were looking to forward this before we left. They looked amazing and heard people saying they were great. The Anchor Inn was fab, their staff were so attentive, fantastic.
We were in the 'Big Berries' campsite. The showers were either cold or hot, there was no consistency. The shower rooms were, I'm sorry to say, disgusting. People's long hair swimming around my feet whilst I was trying to shower, although there are floor mops to mop them out. One women came in after me and found something to unblock the drains, which they need to do on a daily basis. Shower rooms need cleaning 3 times a day to maintain the cleanliness so please unblock the shower drains daily.

We do apologise about the showers and we will review our cleaning for 2024.

Great place on the beach
Trailer Tent - Big Berries Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2023 Very clean park. Clean shower and toilet block. Great location on the beach. Only moan is the food options end at 8pm if you're not cooking. We ended up at the pub on the beach 2 nights in a row, which is very good but not cheap.
