Clear filters Nice place, little boy loved it! Recommends site
Medium Tent - Medium Riverside Grass Pitches (Optional Electric) Aug 2025 Enjoyed 2 nights here with my 3 year old boy. He absolutely loved it, the little park was great for him to play with the other kids. Staff were all really friendly, and the little coffee van was great. We missed the pizzas, but it’s only 5 mins drive to Bamburgh where there were some good pubs, Seahouses is not much further.
Site was super quiet at night too - which was nice. Will definitely go back some day 👍
Lovely little site Recommends site
Large Tent - XL Riverside Grass Pitches (Optional Electric) Aug 2025 A picturesque, small campsite - ideal for families with younger children.
A small river with steep bank sides runs through the site. Facilities were spotless and staff helpful. During our stay everyone kept to the quiet times and it was a very peaceful stay. We visited Chillingham Castle, Bamburgh and Seahouses, all a short drive away.
The onsite pizzas were good, but you need to order early as it gets busy.
Nice relaxing stay Recommends site
VW-Type Campervan - Standard Plus Hardstanding Pitches (Optional Electric) Aug 2025 Lovely staff, very well organised, safe and secure.
Very clean facilities. Never had to wait for the showers or facilities. One shower didn't work if others were using it but no big deal. There were kids and they seemed happy which is nice and they were all well behaved.
People seemed to go to bed around 10pm so it's nice if you like a good nights sleep. It would be nice to have more flexibility when booking as we only stayed for 2 nights but had to pay for 3. The site is in a good location that's easy to get to and has a bus stop outside.
The site has a coffee caravan which was brilliant and the couple were so lovely. There is also a pizza place but it sold out both nights so didn't try it but it looked cool. No music rule is a good one for peace and quiet.
The pitches are all quite close together so great for two groups of friends or family next to each other. However, we had a guy staring at us the whole trip.
Some more foliage to give more privacy in time would be a bonus.
All in all, a very nice stay
Pretty decent Recommends site
Sprinter-Type Campervan - Campervan Hardstanding/Grass Pitches (Optional Electric) Aug 2025 Showers were not very good. Need some TLC.
A good location for exploring the area Recommends site
VW-Type Campervan - Campervan Hardstanding/Grass Pitches (Optional Electric) Aug 2025 This was a good base for exploring the area. We had a lovely walk along the coast path to Bamber. However, the site itself was very busy and the pitches were close to each other so little privacy. The facilities were OK and the staff friendly but there was never any toilet paper in the men's.
Lovely site Recommends site
Medium Tent - Medium Riverside Grass Pitches (Optional Electric) Aug 2025 Beautiful site: clean and well looked after. Friendly and helpful staff. Great base to visit the wonderful sites of Northumberland.
Needs tidying up and modernisation Glamping Cabin - River View Huts (Double and Two Single Beds) Aug 2025 Needs tidying up and modernisation

Well maintained basic facilities which is what we like.
One week in Budle Bay Recommends site
Medium Tent - XL Grass Pitches (Optional Electric) Aug 2025 On arrival, it was very busy and I did think I would struggle for a week, but people come and go and it was a lot quieter as the week progressed.
The site is in a great location, lots of nice walks and lots of places to visit. We got the train to Edinburgh from Berwick for only £24 return. Budle Bay provided everything we needed for our stay, showers, pot wash fridge and freezers.
Maybe a little expensive to camp but that's how it these days. I didn't mind the rules, I'd rather rules than a free for all. I got the best nights sleep for a long time.
No noise after 10.30pm. Bliss. All in all, I'm happy with Budle Bay
A great find Recommends site
Single Axle Caravan - Medium Hardstanding Pitches (Optional Electric) Aug 2025 This is a superbly situated, quiet site.
We booked this site at the last minute, without knowing much about it except for the site's own description. When we arrived, someone else was on our allocated pitch. The staff sorted this out calmly and expertly. The site booking is clear about their regulations, which prohibit noise after 11.00 pm, and the playing of music at any time that might be audible on other pitches. They police this in a friendly way and consequently, the site is peaceful. This is something we value, as it allows us to experience the natural surroundings we are in and means we can really relax - which after all is the purpose of a holiday.
We spent 4 happy days here, right next to the coast, walking, visiting Holy Island, Craster, Seahouses and Bamburgh. There are plenty of local pubs with food, an artisan pizza place within easy walking distance, great fresh seafood shacks within a short drive. Fresh air, big skies and a fantastic array of seabirds to spot. We'll be coming back here lots!
Awful Motorhome - Medium Hardstanding Pitches (Optional Electric) Aug 2025 Awful. Scruffy, overcrowded and very much overpriced.
Wouldn't consider ever returning.
First time camping - family of 4 Recommends site
Large Tent - XL Riverside Grass Pitches (Optional Electric) Aug 2025 Absolutely amazing 4 nights holiday/camping, our first time camping and this campsite just made our experience that more special.
Such a welcoming site, very clean facilities and water supply, with the expectations of a pizza station on site! Highly recommended, we will definitely be back.
Relaxing weekend Recommends site
Single Axle Caravan - Medium Hardstanding Pitches (Optional Electric) Aug 2025 Friendly and helpful reception staff. Great location for sightseeing. We went to Dunstanburgh Castle, Bamburgh Castle and Alnwick. Facilities clean however can become very busy.
Northumberland summer camp Recommends site
Small Tent - Medium Riverside Grass Pitches (Optional Electric) Jul 2025 Good facilities and easy to access everything. Fantastic location. Would have liked more space. Felt a bit cramped.

First visit Recommends site
Motorhome - Medium Riverside Grass Pitches (Optional Electric) Jul 2025 Just felt that the first impressions of the site as you go through the barrier could do with improving to make it look better. Staff very friendly.
Generally just needs some love and care.
Facilities poor Motorhome - Medium Hardstanding Pitches (Optional Electric) Jul 2025 Facilities poor, shower cubicles poor. Could do with a stool at least.
Shower block poor, cubicles could do with stool to put clothes on. Toilets dirty. No eating facilities or shops within 4 miles. Not the best.
First time stay in Northumberland Recommends site
Glamping Cabin - River View Huts (Double and Two Single Beds) Jul 2025 Site is clean and tidy.
Location is good and facilities are in good condition. If you stay in one of the glamping huts, as we did, be prepared for steps and lots of them. Don't forget your torch, like we did, it is a dark site and we did see shooting stars. Site parking is well thought out and it is great for kids.
The near by pizza place NAPCo, order in advance is recommended, is very good. It is in the nature reserve, so be warned that there are no bus stops, there are buses, and some of the paths are not open year round.
Good campsite Recommends site
Motorhome - Medium Hardstanding Pitches (Optional Electric) Jul 2025 Nice site our pitch was large and flat it would be nice if didn't have to leave at 10.30 (can stay if pay extra) most sites do midday .
Everyone was friendly enough, could do with a bit more information on beach path went to ask couple of times but reception was closed.
All in all the site is good the motorhome pitches are well thought out and very flat would.
Recommend and would stay again there is fish chip van but not open on nights we stayed but was told they are nice showers were good.
1st camping trip Recommends site

Medium Tent - XL Riverside Grass Pitches (Optional Electric) Jul 2025 Fabulous stay at Budle Bay, within good driving distance of so many wonderful sites and adventures! Campsite is lovely and peaceful, with good facilities and is one of the cleanest I’ve been to!
Really family friendly too. We will definitely be back!
