Clear filters Lovely campsite
Single Axle Caravan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches May 2025 Had a lovely stay at this resort.
The staff are lovely and helpful, the pitches are safe and clean, the shower blocks are good. The pool is nice for kids, pity the restaurant and pub only opens from 4pm at this time of year, but understandable. Very happy with the stay.
Lovely site
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Pitches May 2025 A lovely site, peaceful and chilled out, just what we were looking for.
The Lodge was lively enough and the food was good.
We had asked for a site close to the facilities as my husband is disabled and we were at the top of the hill. Also, the disabled facilities were locked and didn't unlock with a radar key.
I'll be coming here again!
Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Apr 2025 My daughter and I stayed here to 2 nights in our motorhome. We selected the campsite as only 10 minutes away from Wookey Hole, we paid for a hardstanding pitch with electric.
We got here, views were incredible, welcoming staff on reception, all information given, like local takeaways, pubs, how far they are away etc, Map of site, codes, literally I didn't need to ask again for anything.
The pitch was well kept, hooked up immediately, we went around the site, it's small, but honestly perfect, the location of toilets, washing facilities, swimming pool, restaurant & bar and playground were with a 2 minute walk. Toilets and showers were perfect and clean.
I literally have no faults whatsoever, looking forward to staying here again 😄
Lovely little campsite
Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Apr 2025 Arrived at 8:30pm, a very friendly man came to check us in and explain everything.
Bar staff in the restaurant gave us a few take away menus because we'd missed food at the restaurant - we were grateful for their help.
Site is smaller than I expected but lovely that everything is so close by. Pool was great for the kids, hot shower and small changing room with hairdryer (20p for 2 minutes). Had room on our pitch for a couple of chairs and games - badminton, swing ball etc. Food in the restaurant was nice, decent portion size for the money. Had a pool table out back (£1 per game and £5 deposit for cues) and a large connector 4. Little shop onsite which sold most things, we didn't need much though.
All the staff are lovely.
First time stop
Single Axle Caravan - Electric Grass Pitches Mar 2025 Our first time away in the caravan, people working at the site and staying at the site were all friendly and helpful, heated pool was amazing. Will definitely stay again.
Overnight stay
Motorhome - Plus Grass Pitches Mar 2025 We didn't stay long, but had a few drinks in the bar, was nice, toilets and showers were clean and tidy.
My only complaint would be that the large grass pitches were not level and we struggled to get our van level, all surrounding ones were level, but the pitch we were given was difficult. The actual pitch could do with digging off level to avoid the need for levelling blocks. But apart from that, was a nice place, location and was fine. Thank you.
So needing updating
Twin Axle Caravan - Fully Serviced Hardstanding Pitches Mar 2025 The site needs a major overhaul, especially the facilities, toilets and showers.
Also, was told we could not leave our dog alone, which meant we couldn't do things we had planned to do. It was nice, but think we won't return until things get refurbished. Be careful if you're taking a large motorhome or caravan as some of the roads become very narrow to and from the M5.

A great hillside location

A great site for exploring Cheddar Gorge and surrounding area. We only booked one night in Feb so didn't see the pool, so can't comment on it. The shower/toilet facilities were clean and, although a little tired, did the job.
Reception and restaurant staff were very friendly. The restaurant has a games room and allows dogs on leads 👍 We were a bit surprised that the gate for Tor view walk adjacent to site was locked. The pitches were a good size and we would return.

Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Dec 2024 Fabulous site on a bus route to Cheddar, Weston and Wells. Good facilities.
What really stood out was the great service and the positive and polite "rules". Sometimes campsite are full of things you can't do. This site reframes rules to positives which makes visitors feel welcome and included. Great job, thanks.
Perfect weekend
Single Axle Caravan - Fully Serviced Hardstanding Pitches Nov 2024 Only snag was the entrance. It catches the underneath of your van both entering and exiting.
But once in, very quiet clean and value for money.
Short stay
Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Nov 2024 We had a very pleasant stay. The facilities were nice and clean, and the showers were hot. We didn't use the pool or the Lodge but we happy knowing they were available.
The site is in the perfect position for visiting towns and villages. The only minus, we couldn't find the motorhome service point to drain our dirty water. We would definitely stay again.

Motorhome - Electric Grass Pitches Nov 2024 Perfect for our 2 night get away. Lovely indoor heated swimming pool.
Only a small site with a pub and restaurant, so no kids club per se, but they did have kids entertainment on the night we stayed which was boogie bingo and my son won 6 tickets to Wookey Hole, so we were delighted. Very close to visiting places such as Wookey Hole. Glastonbury Tor, Burnham on Sea and Brean theme park, so we were very happy with our 2 night stay.

The facilities were good and everywhere was clean and tidy. They are very dog friendly which meant our pooch got to enjoy the whole experience with us.
Tired, in need of an overhaul Motorhome - Fully Serviced Hardstanding Pitches Oct 2024 No pathway on main road to walk to places.
We went at the end of season, so was very quiet. We asked to have a different fully serviced pitch to the one allocated to us, as it was under a very messy tree. The drainage areas were covered in foliage and difficult to use for grey waste, the chemical area is low and could do with updating. The pitches look quite unkept with greenery growing through any hardcore that was there. Also, even though we arrived on a Thursday and there were plenty of pitches empty, I was told (which included some desktop finger tapping), that they could only give me the pitch next door to the original one as they had other people arriving at the weekend (Some of which only stayed the one night). I'm guessing that maybe you can pre book spaces if that's the case and it's not first come first serve?
It was a walk to the main, basic, tired and in need of revamping shower/toilet block. The showers had bubbled plaster walls, thick dust on pipe work. The sink cubicle taps took forever to get hot water from and did not stay on for long enough, door that did not lock. The shower was lovely and warm, although the hot water pipe, which is exposed, was exceptionally hot and may be a danger to children if touched. There was a separate, smaller shower block which we only used the once as the toilet did not flush and was even more tired looking than the main block. This was accessed via a small wooded area into the next field which had large animal statues, which was a nice touch to the site for the children. It has a play area next to the clubhouse/swim pool (not used by us so cannot comment), the pool changing area is also the clubhouse toilets, which was extremely tired, no curtain on shower and very drab looking, sliding wooden doors on toilet in need of some care with a basic hook and eye for a lock.
In our personal opinion, the whole site needs an overhaul and could be lovely with some care and attention, we will not return there but for somewhere to stop overnight before travelling on its basic and ok 3/10.

Pitches are decent. Nice little club with pool table and indoor pool. Onsite shop carries the basics. Made very welcome and would use again.

Memories
Trailer Tent - Fully Serviced Grass Pitches Sep 2024 We arrived on a drizzly Monday afternoon and struggled to manoeuvre our car and trailer into allocated spot due to tyres spinning on wet steep incline to pitch. Had brilliant help from two members of staff, a big thank you.
The site is clean and quiet. Never did get to use the pool or restaurant facilities so cannot comment.
Our stay was enjoyable, made the memories we intended to do. Cheddar Gorge/caves and Weston-Super-Mare, which is only 30mins away from site. We had a full serviced pitch.

Single Axle Caravan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Aug 2024 Great site, staff were amazing and friendly. In a good location, just a few minutes drive from Cheddar and Wells. Ideal base for exploring the area.
Nice facilities and bonus of having an indoor pool and bar area.
