Beautiful, remote, family run campsite

This campsite is perfect for a lovely break away from the stresses and strains of a busy life. It's country location is idyllic with beautiful walks to the nearby coast. The onsite staff are extremely helpful and friendly and nothing seemed to much to help if asked. The shower and ablutions block was always clean and tidy, and there was a very convenient additional space for washing utensils. I highly recommend this campsite and am hopeful to return again in the future.

Fantastic camp site!

This is the best camp site we've ever stayed on! The owners and staff were welcoming, obliging and forever helpful! The actual pitch was the most spacious that we've ever had and with electric! The facilities on site are brilliant! You've got a cafe/bar and the breakfast rolls, which are freshly cooked, are absolutely delicious! The toilet and shower facilities are clean and always well kept. There are some lovely walks to the beach and countryside. Another big plus is that it's adults only, so very peaceful! (This is from someone with grown up kids) I could not recommend this site enough! It is absolutely amazing! And I we can't wait to go back! Thank you to the owners and staff for a brilliant stay!

Quiet peaceful site set in lovely area

A lovely, peaceful, adults-only dog-friendly site with a beautiful 10-15 min walk down to the coast. There's a sandy beach there but only when the tide is out, otherwise it's quite rocky. The site itself is well laid out and the facilities are good, although could maybe do with another toilet, shower and sink in the ladies as queues tend to form at peak times, according to my daughters. The café serves some lovely cold draught beers and other hot or cold beverages, including barista-style coffees and hot choc, as well as small snacks and does a rather nice breakfast roll, freshly cooked to order. The only small irritation for me personally would be the promotion of recycling, especially food waste; There is usually very limited room in tents and campers so we can't be divvying up our waste into different containers and don't want to be constantly walking it up to the very top of the site to put it into all the different wasp-infested and very full wheelie bins. May I suggest more smaller wheelie bins are provided throughout the site that are emptied regularly if you really want to promote recycling. Otherwise it's a lovely site with plenty of public footpaths around to explore and, being in Wales, is in a beautiful part of the world.

Beautiful escape

We loved it here. All staff were friendly, the bar was cosy, warm and very reasonable. The campers were polite and everyone was quiet at night. The walk down to the beach was well worth it to see the limestone formations. Just perfect.

Great stay for our British Ladies Open trip

Campervan stay

This was our first time staying in our campervan, the staff were lovely on arrival and the pitch location was great with fabulous views. We will return & recommend. Linda & Pat

Fantastic site away from it all!

We absolutely loved this place. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Location was amazing, close to the coast for lovely walks and right next to a pub for food and drinks. Onsite we were able to have breakfast and drinks which was a real bonus. We stayed 2 nights but wish it had been longer. We will be returning!

Very friendly site

The owners and staff are so friendly and helpful. Our electric hookup cable was too short to reach the unit so they let us borrow an extension lead for the week. It advertises that Teddy's Bar is only open Fri-Sun but they opened for drinks most nights, just for an hour or so, which was great as we had a chance to chat to the owners, Glyn and Phillipa. We got good recommendations of places to go, walks, and places to eat - each one a winner! Beautifully maintained site and spotless facilities. Thank you Glyn, Phillipa, Cathy and Dave for looking after us so well x

Wonderful stay

Phillipa was an amazing host. The pitches on this adult only campsite were kept immaculately mown and plenty of room on each pitch. The toilet facilities were one of the cleanest we have experienced ( none of the usual cobwebs and dust spiders left untouched on toilet ceilings experienced at some other sites over the years). A clean wash room and large freezer for customer use if needed. The coffee was good in the café which was open in the morning only from 9am but a handy addition to the facilities. Well positioned for the Welsh coastal path and a pub within walking distance with great good and beverages (with the best chips in Wales).

Holiday myself and dog

Had a lovely stay at the campsite all clean, friendly and helpful owners. A good location to get on the coastal path, 10min walk through a lovely woodland. The bar opens on a weekend and breakfast baps served on the weekend. A pub and regular bus 2mins walk from the campsite. A lovely peaceful location and very dog friendly.

Peaceful break

Had a great stay wanted a quiet few days camping in a relatively secluded location. Would definitely visit again if in the area, the host was friendly and very helpful and the atmosphere was very relaxed. The dog (springer spaniel) loved it too - especially the fabulous walk down to the sea.

Fabulous!

Fabulous find! Lovely welcome on arrival. Extremely helpful and friendly staff. Great to have a bar on site, though did utilise the nearby pub for evening meals. Biblical rain on the Friday night, but no issues with puddles even though we were on grass pitches. We will def be back!

Lovely, adults only campsite

This is a clean and fabulous campsite and with it being now adults only is even better. It is literally 20 minutes walk to the beach (trainers/sturdy shoes needed for the journey), and a pleasant pub just up the road. The little cafe/bar on site was a welcome extra and that fires are allowed (in a fire pit). Philippa was so welcoming to us. We had a fabulous couple of days to unwind and chill.

Camping

My partner and I stayed here for two nights and we had a great time. Great access to the cafe and pub down the road with lovely owners who made us feel so welcome. Great atmosphere throughout. Amazing access to Monknash beach and overall a good place to stay. Would recommend to anyone who wants to go camping.

Clean, great facilities, warm welcome, great ground

Lovely well-kept field with very clean showers, washing up room and a cabin where we could buy drinks and maps etc. A very warm welcome too. And good firm soil without stones !

Beautiful and so peaceful

Such a lovely site for our first outing in a Campervan. A beautiful 15 min walk to a secluded rocky/sandy beach. Well maintained and staff are super friendly. Will definitely return!

Perfectly peaceful

Very welcoming small site within walking distance of coastal walks and pebble beach. Good pub practically next door. Café and licensed bar on site. Don't dogd welcome. Adults only. Our first time here, but not our last!
