Large Tent - Valley Electric Grass Pitches May 2026 Unfortunately, the site doesn't let people know that there is a wedding venue next door, so Friday, Saturday and Sunday are extremely loud with music and revellers next door that keep you awake at night, unless you are in the field that overlooks the bay. The site is also right on the road, so if you have a pitch that is near the facilities, prepare to be listening to both the wedding music and the motorbikes that use the road as a race track.
The site also didn't tell us when we arrived that there had been a landslide and there was no step access to the beach that the site sells itself on.
Overall, the site is well catered for children with lovely games areas and play equipment, the showers and toilets were generally always clean.

Large Tent - Valley Electric Grass Pitches May 2026 Lovely campsite spotlessly clean, loved the bathrooms as you had everything you needed tiolet,shower and sink all in one plenty of room. Staff nothing to much trouble polite and friendly. Food on site Saturday we had pizza and Friday we had sweet and sour chicken both really good and great value for money. plenty of things to do not far from site and the views from the site are beautiful.

VW-Type Campervan - Allocated Electric Ocean View Pitches May 2026 Lovely clean facilities. Children's play area. On site bar, opening times variable according to season. Very short walk to a local pub that serves good food. Well stocked on site site shop, friendly and helpful owners. Short walk to small harbour and lovely cafe, access to coastal path, approx 20 minute drive from Ilfracombe, Waterhouse Castle practically on the doorstep. Very large dog walking field on site

Motorhome - Valley Electric Grass Pitches May 2026 What a wonderful site. Clean facilities. Harbour and cafe very close by. Good dog walking area.
Staff very friendly and helpful. The pub next door is very good. Shame about the weather but no one can predict that. We will be back next year.

VW-Type Campervan - Ocean View Non Electric Grass Pitches (Allocated) May 2026 Wonderful location either perched up on the cliff top with seas views or lower down sheltered by trees and hedges. It does get windy !! Careful tent campers. Really friendly helpful staff. Great, clean toilet and shower facilities on a beutifully kept site. Food truck, (Pizza was tasty), Bar Truck on site, a good Pub a few yard down a footpath. All I can highly recomend it.

We had an ocean view pitch with a brilliant view. The toilets are very good, cleaned regularly and close by, showers were clean and hot!
The pub just at the bottom of campsite is very convenient. I loved the converted trailer bar which serves cocktails! Just a shame the music was switched off to put the football on! 100% recommend!
A gem of a campsite!

We only stayed one night but will certainly return again and recommend to friends and family. Beautiful location and a great base to explore the surrounding countryside.

Medium Tent - Valley Electric Grass Pitches Sep 2025 Fantastic campsite! Got a lovely family feel that had live entertainment with food and a bar that made everyone feel at home.
Facilities were incredible with great shower facilities everywhere in each block. Surrounding area is beautiful so a 100% from us.

Had everything you needed and was very well maintained. Kids play area was brilliant! My 7 and 5 year old loved it.
Pitch size was great! Very generous and private. Fab food served, friendly and helpful staff. Would 100% stay here again.

Sprinter-Type Campervan - Valley Electric Grass Pitches Sep 2025 Great campsite, good sized pitches with hook up if needed. There's everything you need for your stay onsite. Toilets and showers were really good as you have your own bathroom, with toilet, shower, sink and mirror in each bathroom.
Great for walking with plenty of footpaths along the coast.
There is a good size dog exercise field. Nice hot food kiosk serving food with different food menu every day. There's also a nice converted trailer bar for evening drinks. Also a covered area to eat and drink in and watch the TV. Ideal for football/rugby matches. There is also a games room for the kids to enjoy.
Overall a really nice family run campsite with really nice helpful staff and we will definitely be going back again for another stay.

VW-Type Campervan - Valley Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2025 This is by far one of the best campsites we have ever stayed in!
The cleanliness and the facilities were amazing. The food provided at this campsites is to die for. We almost bought food here every night.
It is perfect for a quiet time away and to really relax and enjoy your time.
We will be coming here again.

Single Axle Caravan - Valley Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2025 The campsite is excellent with good sized pitches.
The sea views from parts of the campsite are stunning. The facilities are kept very clean with plenty of hot water. The kids park was good but could probably do with a little bit of maintenance. The staff I met with were all friendly and always smiling. The food was excellent and very reasonably priced and the bar prices were probably akin to pub prices, with a great selection of drinks on offer.
My only very small gripe was the music that could be heard from the next door wedding venue.

Medium Tent - Ocean View Non Electric Grass Pitches (Allocated) Aug 2025 Just a brilliant site! Spent a week here after seeing the good reviews and was not disappointed.
The site is within reach of various local attractions and places to visit with bus stops within a short walk. All the pitches were well proportioned and well kept. The on site facilities were clean and looked after, and having shower and toilet in each enclosed cubicle is perfect. The on site bar is well priced and the food on site was a bonus.
Will definitely be back!
Fantastic campsite that quite possibly has it all
Large Tent - Valley Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2025 Stayed for a week for the last week of the summer holidays.
We found the site to be one of the tidiest and cleanest sites we've ever stayed at. There are 4 toilets blocks and all are kept extremely clean. With the newest blocks having self contained cubicles with showers, toilets and sinks. The pitches cater for all shapes and sizes. There's a good mix of EHU and basic pitches. The pitches are well kept and well spaced. There is an onsite shop that stocks a little bit of everything. There's also hot food dinner options served everyday from the cabin and a horse trailer bar. These are cash only and extremely reasonably priced. There's so much for kids to do around site; a massive park located on an island with a stream around the perimeter. Football goals, badminton net/racquets, table tennis tables/bats and balls, mini snooker/pool tables, foosball. A covered TV area and seating near the bar. An enclosed dog field with stunning views out to sea. Weekend entertainment at the bar area.
The most amazing pub at the end of a path next door to site. The old Sawmill Inn has a great atmosphere and delicious food. Fire pits to hire for your stay for £10 with a £10 returnable deposit and all logs/kindling and starter stuff also for sale at a reasonable price.
There is so much to do nearby. On our stay we visited Watermouth Castle (within walking distance), Funder Island (In Woolacombe), Coombe Martin museum and beach, Watermouth Harbour and boat cafe (storm in a teacup), walked the tarka trail to Sandy Cove hotel for a drink with stunning views, Hele Bay (dog friendly beach), Milky Way Adventure Park (about an hour away, great for rainy days!), The Combes golf park (we played foot golf and foot pool). We also had a Tesco food delivery (to park entrance only).
We will definitely be back!

Nice having the food & bar on site - thats a bonus. We will definitely return.
Only one thing which would make site better is having individual toilets, only without being all with showers as well.

An absolute gem of a site
Twin Axle Caravan - Valley Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2025 An exceptionally well-run family owned site on the beautiful North Devon coast.
Friendly and accommodating staff team. Spacious Valley and Ocean view pitches. Clean and well maintained washing and shower facilities. Great provision for kids with games room (football and pool tables), ping pong tables, play areas for all ages and even a small football pitch with goals (be sure to cheer for Villa!). A very well-priced bar and varied food offer (think pizza, Mexican, Indian, chippy tea and loaded fries!) add to the charm. Close to Combe Martin, Hele Bay and Ilfracombe.
Wonderful walks along the coast path and down to the nearby Watermouth Harbour. You may even see dolphins in the bay! Exceptionally dog friendly with a superb dog exercise area / field (with the best views!)
Overall, a wonderful place to spend a relaxing family holiday.
