Overall, quite a nice site
Large Tent - Grass Pitches (Optional Electric) Aug 2024 Good location in terms of there being different places of interest a short drive away. The site is on the flight path for East Midlands Airport, near a freight railway line and near the Derby bypass, so can be noisy at night.
The toilets and showers are kept quite clean and there are additional toilet and shower cubicles outside, which is very handy. The inside shower cubicles are nice and spacious. One of the toilet seats in the ladies' needs some attention and the hand dryer is not the best.
For the most part, the site felt quite spacious. However, on our last night, there were a lot of bookings and it felt rather overcrowded.
Sadly, not all campers followed rules in terms of keeping dogs on leads, which was difficult if your own dog was on a lead and a surprise when a strange dog wanders into your tent! Of course, this is not the fault of the site, but it may be worth the staff picking up on this with individuals, if noticed.
The staff were friendly and the site was generally neat, clean and tidy.

Camping Pod - Plus Glamping Pods with Hot Tubs (Dog Friendly) Aug 2024 For someone who has never been camping before, this was perfect. We stayed in one of the glamping huts, plenty of room for my husband, myself and our 9 year old.
It wasn't too far away from the toilet block, that was very clean. My husband loved the wood fired hot tub. And the BBQ was lovely to use (he now wants one for the garden).
The staff were great and it felt like a safe place to be.
It was nice to have our own decking area and picnic bench. Overall I would highly recommend this place.

Lovely stay
Large Tent - Grass Pitches (Optional Electric) Aug 2024 It was our first time trying out camping, and we loved it. Perfect site, and for two people who love going on walks, it wasn't too far from the Peak District, about a 40 minute drive. The facilities were very clean, and everyone was lovely and friendly. Would stay again!

Way way better than expected
Large Tent - Grass Pitches (Optional Electric) Jul 2024 One of the best sites we have been on. The location is great and there is loads to do. Whether you walk down the side of the canal, go to the local pub or visit Donnington park, we Loved our stay and will be back.

Large Tent - Grass Pitches (Optional Electric) Jul 2024 Stayed for WSBK at Donington Park. Paid in advance, so check in was nice and easy, and park was nice and clean. Plenty of showers, quiet enough would use again.

VW-Type Campervan - Grass Pitches (Optional Electric) Jun 2024 Spent just 1 night here and had no complaints. It was quiet, so plenty of spots to choose from.
Facilities were clean, arrival easy and loved just being left to get on with our stay.
Glamping

Lovely quiet campsite
Single Axle Caravan - Fully Serviced Hardstanding Pitches May 2024 Lovely quiet campsite, grounds kept nicely.
You could hear the A50 traffic and also the planes going to and from East Midlands airport but that didn't bother us.
Kids made some friends and plenty of green space for them to play and kick a football about.

Our stay
Camping Pod - Standard Glamping Pods with Hot Tubs (Dog Friendly) May 2024 We went on a Bank Holiday weekend, which was busy and quite compact, which lacked privacy at busy times if that's what your aim is. The units are basic but fun.
Clarify what bedding you need before you go, we took twin and it was a double. Ours had a fridge, kettle and sink, but only a microwave for warming up/cooking, so cooking required the wood BBQ firing up, which is fine if you are aware of it.
Site staff ten out of ten, still smiling after working all hours.
Relaxing stay
Bell Tent - Plus Deluxe Lotus Belle Tent with Round Hot Tub (Dog Friendly) May 2024 Stayed in the lotus belle tent with a hot tub. The hot tub was already set up and ready to go! We were met on arrival by a friendly member of staff who showed us how to use the hot tub and told us where everything was. Couldn’t recommend more as we loved our stay.
