Medium Tent - Electric Grass PitchesMay 2025

Crows nest is in a great location, especially if you are planning on walking. The campsite backs onto the Cleaveland Way which we made use of both days to visit Scarborough & Filey. The toilet & shower blocks were modern and kept clean regularly and onsite facilities were great with the shop, bar & kids park. Couldn’t have asked for more!

Very, very good!

Large Tent - Electric Grass PitchesMay 2025

We came for a few nights away to enjoy the views and walks! We wasn't disappointed. The camping area was spotless and so peaceful! The facilities were always clean and it's so easy to navigate around, just a few miles from Filey and then an extra couple the other way to Scarborough along the coastal path. Easily accessible from the site too. We would 100% come back and can't wait to do so!

The showers and toilets really need a update. Pity clubhouse only open weekends at the moment. Furniture needs updating, very tired.

Very nice place

Value for money and a lovely location. Clean and tidy, I felt the shop was a bit pricey, but all ok.

Great location with a nice bar which showed the football match I wanted to see. Great play area for kids, general store and fish and chip shop on site. Clean facilities. Had a tent pitch with electric and it was decent value.

Great stay! Kids loved it!

Medium Tent - Electric Grass PitchesApr 2025

Had a brilliant 3 day stay at Crows Nest during the Easter half term. The site is very well maintained, the shower block is modern and clean. We were pitched next to the children's play area which was large and well looked after. I would say the only down to the trip was the indoor pool was slightly outdated and not the warmest of pools. The changing rooms are in the main reception area, which was freezing, but you only pay £3 per person for swimming so it's still a good thing to have. The onsite convenience shop was well stocked and although we didn't use the facilities, the bar and games room looked great too. Overall, a fantastic place and we will definitely be booking again.

Great place to stay

Sprinter-Type Campervan - All Weather Touring Super Pitches (Upper Area)Nov 2024

Stayed for 2 nights at the end of the season. Facilities brilliant plenty for kids to do, loved the fact of a fish and chip shop on site and we had a great time in the onsite pub with good entertainment and a real friendly vibe. Great walking routes to both Scarborough and Filey. Will be staying again.

Great campsite

We stayed at Crows Nest because family have a static van on site. We know the area very well and walked a section of the Cleveland Way to Filey.

Single Axle Caravan - All Weather Touring Super Pitches (Lower Area)Oct 2024

We loved our stay at the Crows Nest. This was our 1st time using this site and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The facilities were great. From pitch quality, bathroom/showers, pub, chippy, reception and amazing view of the sea with walkways, I don't think there's anything else we could have asked for in a caravan site. The site catered for families and individuals. It was quiet but with a great atmosphere. Overall, we loved our stay and will definitely be back as the location opened up so many options for day trips to different towns, like Filey, Scarborough and York to name a few. Thank you again for a wonderful stay.

Single Axle Caravan - All Weather Touring Super Pitches (Upper Area)Sep 2024

The super pitches are amazing, they were well thought out with all that you need to keep yourself to yourself whilst away. The only thing I would say is that they may want to think about renovating the site, adding another park near the main complex and updating the games room. Other then that the site is fabulous and we are already thinking about re-booking for next year.

Nice large holiday park

Single Axle Caravan - All Weather Touring Super Pitches (Upper Area)Sep 2024

Nice holiday park, ample facilities. Bit crowded. Toilets spacious, numerous, adequate and clean, but cold. Very narrow loo roll, meaning false economy. Good sized shop. Super chip shop. Clubhouse with live entertainment for those who want it. Fantastic view across the sea from the tent field. Hardstanding pitches fully serviced, but grey water waste point in wrong place for camper vans and motorhomes. That's okay, though, because there's a motorhome service point too. Buses both ways stop right outside, plentiful and regular. Dog loved the dog park and there's a nice, modern playground for those with kids. Farm shop and mini market within walking distance. We'll certainly be back.

Good facilities, great staff, bad weather

Sprinter-Type Campervan - All Weather Touring Super Pitches (Lower Area)Sep 2024

A large site situated right on the coast. If it wasn't for the enormous fog bank/mist over most of that part of the coastline, the views would have been spectacular! Staff were very friendly and helpful, and there was a very well stocked shop, plus fish and chip shop, bar and swimming pool on site. Only downside was that the free WIFI/internet was only available in the main facilities and not across the entire site.

Large Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesAug 2024

Brilliant stay, good value for money. Loved the dog park as dogs need to be on leads around (can't say that all owners understand and adhered to that). The site is spot on, there is plenty of space for all. We had fish 'n' chips, really lovely! Most people are polite and don't continue their party at 4am, but there were the select few that arrived the night before we left who were still awake and unnecessarily loud at 4am. Site is easy to get to. The views are amazing if camping at the top end of the field. The coastal path is slightly eroded but you can access the further path from there down towards Filey or up towards Scarborough.

Small Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesAug 2024

Okay for a few nights. Non electric camping pitches along sides of site were dirty. I camped by hedge for shelter but was full of toilet paper and rubbish. Lots of cigarette butts across the camping area and not cleaned up, clearly been there for few days. Loud radios on until past 11 while we were there. Location very central. Pool is tiny but good fun for young kids. Nowhere to buy a tea or coffee, ideal location for going on days out. . Would recommend for base location if you will be out most of the time. Caravan area looked a lot cleaner and quieter.

Single Axle Caravan - All Weather Touring Super Pitches (Lower Area)Aug 2024

Great location in between Bridlington and Scarborough. Arrived Thursday morning ready for a nice 4 night break. Were allocated our pitch on the lower level of the hardstanding serviced pitches. Great stuff. Pitched right next to the toilet/shower block and a very short walk away from the shop and reception. First night was great, not many people about and everyone was chilled. Then boom, Friday arrives. Yes, bank holiday weekend I know, but the whole site was filled to the brim with campers filling an overspill field down the very bottom. It was a free for all and was out of control. Unbeknown to our knowledge, we were going to end up with these said campers constantly using our shower/toilet block and washing facilities. People were queuing out of the doors for both toilets and showers for hours at a time. It was absolutely horrendous to a point where my little 1 messed (only 3) as we didn't make it to the toilet in time. The campers had no respect for anyone as was trying cut through every pitch possible to get to the facilities quicker. It was a massive free for all and we couldn't wait to leave. The swimming pool is far too small for the number of people allowed to swim in it at any one time, the pool tiles were mucky around the edge and the changing rooms were filthy. The shop had a big variety of things for everyday essentials and reasonable in price. The pub had a large selection of drinks available but it just took far too long to get served as the staff were too busy talking to each other instead of serving customers. I ordered 3 drinks and a packet of crisps and I was stood at the bar maybe 10 mins while they chatted. This is not a site that you have time to stand, talking, especially on a bank holiday weekend. The kids enjoyed the arcades, the park and the views. We saw some lovely sunsets from the top of the hill. All in all, would I return to this site? No I wouldn't. Not my cup of tea, far too many people. I would rather go to smaller sites that are family run and not so wild. Not sure if it would be any different on a normal week but I won't be returning to find this out.

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesAug 2024

The site was heaving, which wouldn't be a problem, but there were no set pitches so it was a bit of a free for all. Tents were somewhat on top of each other, not allowing much outdoor space for the kids to run about, which feels bizarre to say on a campsite. Great that there's a pool, it's very small, which is fine, but they have absolutely zero numbers policy by the look of it, so my toddler in armbands hated it once it was too busy, as older kids were basically on top of us there too. My two main issues were the cleanliness and the clientele I guess. The bin in the kids park was full when we arrived on Friday and we didn't see it emptied until Sunday. There was rubbish literally all over the park. My kids and I took our litter pickers and cleared about a bin bag full. This included cig ends, batteries and broken plastic. There were also a lot of young teens loitering round the park as there's not much else for them to do, but ruining for the under 10s. Swearing, being pushy and just generally obnoxious, vaping, smoking in the toilets Toilets were pretty grim, my 5 year old said "why on earth had somebody smeared stuff on the wall" and I have to say, I do not know. It was there the whole weekend. We didn't use the shower as we didn't dare. I'm not precious, our last site had portaloos and an eco shower, but we didn't pay as much, so you do expect more. All in all, we made the best of it, but not as child friendly as it might seem on the face of it.

Absolutely loved this site, would recommend it to any family and will definitely be going back. The shop items are normal prices which surprised us and the fish and chip shop was good value.GRLB
