Lovely campsite Recommends site
Motorhome - Fully Serviced Hardstanding Touring Pitches May 2026 Lovely campsite with very clean facilities. We stayed on a fully serviced pitch and had everything we needed for a great few nights away. The lady on reception was really warm and friendly. Thoroughly enjoyed having fresh farm eggs for breakfast from the shop.
The only downside for us was that there wasn't much to do within a walk of the site if you didn't want to drive your motorhome (of course, not the site's fault) but just consider this as you would need to drive to access a lot of activities etc. We did walk in to Seascale which took about 25 minutes but was a walk on a main road with no pavement.
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay here, noting very clean and modern toilets and showers and a lovely warm welcome.

Regarding walking to Seascale, guests can walk to Seascale using a shorter route via the beach meaning you don't have to walk along the road, when in Seascale there is the main line train service, and also a bus service which passes the campsite road end, this bus will stop and pick you up from the campsite road end when flagged down. Bus information and train information is available on site, alternatively guests can ask upon arrival and I can provide all the relevant information required, or where to find it.
There is also a train station and bus stop located in Drigg approximately 1 mile away. There is pavement all the way to Drigg train station.
I hope this information helps for any future visits to us.
Kind regards,
Rachael
Lovely site and amazing owner Recommends site
Large Tent - Large Electric Grass Pitches May 2026 First time camping here and will definitely be returning.
Site well laid out with plenty of space per pitch to spread out. Showers and toilets clean and close to pitches.
Nice touch having own fire-pit per grass pitch ready to go for an evening playing cards by the fire.
Owner could not do enough, always available and will always help. Can’t thank enough for supporting us when someone bumped my car (off site) during our stay. Absolutely fantastic, thank you so much for a lovely first camp of 2026! Looking forward to coming back soon xx

Spotless camping side Recommends site
Medium Tent - Large Electric Grass Pitches May 2026 Beautiful camp site area, clean and with a lovely showers/ toilets room - music is playing while you having a shower or number 2 just brilliant! Owner is a friendly and very kind person, on site is a little shop which will cover you what you need in case you forgot something, plus they got their own eggs available for you and they are delicious for you morning breakfast. Whole camping site is clean and quiet, not far from big shops. Also my son rides scooter and 30min drive (Whitehaven) they have decent skate park available.
Superb campsite Recommends site
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding and Grass Touring Pitches May 2026 First time visiting Shepherds Views, really good site.
Animals for kids to see, they even carry out farm tours which the kids loved. There's also a football pitch onsite and a good onsite shop. Good location for walks. We visited Whitehaven and Wast Water (highly recommended).
The only downside I can say is the main toilets are unisex, but there is another block were its separate cubicles. Overall, highly recommended.

Regarding showers and toilets, both our shower and toilet blocks are unisex, having unisex showers and toilets allows us to cater to everyone. During busy periods both showers and toilet blocks are in full use, quieter times only the main block is open.
I appreciate your comments and feedback
We hope to welcome you back again in the future
Thank you Rachael
Great campsite Recommends site
Medium Tent - Large Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches May 2026 We had a lovely pitch paid a bit extra for a larger one. Everything is well organised by the owner. Shower block very clean throughout the bank holiday weekend.
Quiet time from 11pm was well adhered to.
Close by to the Western Lake District area.
Nothing negative to say about the site.

Great place to stay clean tidy Recommends site
Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches May 2026 Great little site a 15 min walk to the very large beach at low tide. Facilities were clean, nice hot showers. Middle of nowhere so quiet. Is on a farm, so expect the usual noises associated with that. Owner was friendly. Thanks for having us.
Loved this site Recommends site
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding and Grass Touring Pitches May 2026 Three weeks away and this was the best shower !
Great walks, handy for town. Level pitches. 3 x showers and 3 x toilets didn’t seem much as the site got busier (bank holiday weekend) but actually it was fine.

Short break Recommends site
Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding and Grass Touring Pitches Apr 2026 Decided to take a long weekend break at the last minute in the Lake District and came across this site on Campsites.co.uk.
Very happy with my stay. The member of staff I interacted with was very friendly and helpful. The facilities were very clean. Walking distance to the nearest town, however couldn't find a pub open when I got there :-(
No Wi-Fi across the site, but I have 5G Wi-Fi in my camper so not an issue. Definitely recommend this place to other people.

We do have WIFI available at reception, however with us being in a rural area it doesn't reach all the way across site
Regarding the nearest pub, The Calder House hotel in Seascale is within walking distance as well as Seascale golf course
We hope to welcome you back again in the future
Thanks Rachael
Lovely site Recommends site
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding and Grass Touring Pitches Apr 2026 Lovely quiet site with spotless showers. Thoughtfully designed with spacious pitches.
Excellent location, walking distance to the beach and Seascale village along the beach with other walks with excellent views from the site. Very helpful owner.
We didn't need it but there's a shop on site and firepits and wood available.
Also, good location for the West Lakes and Eskdale. We will be back.
