Great campsite with lots to do
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches May 2024 Excellent all round. Enjoyed the location, the restaurant and a forest walk and then went up the gondola in the morning which was great. Will definitely go again. Thanks.
Great site for visiting Gondola and for downhill biking
Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches May 2024 On check-in we were allocated Pitch 1. It was immediately next to a skip which was full of rubbish. The skip was being used for rubbish because the bin facilities are very restrictive (i.e. tiny holes). We were moved without any issue.
The showers are terrific. Spotlessly clean and hot. Only complaint is that there is nothing to hang your clothes or towel on other than the floor.
We felt the layout of the pitches is very confusing. Difficult to know where to sit outside. And finally, a grey water dump would be great.
Would stay again.

It was too early to find someone to help solve this problem. At the reception of the hotel and the ticket office, it was either that no one there or it did not open for another hour. Would not recommend.
500 stop over
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches May 2024 This is a great overnighter on the 500 if visiting Ben Nevis. All pitches hardstanding, we paid for an awning but were unable to use it as couldn't get pegs in the ground. Not a problem but be aware.
Facilities were very good and clean, albeit a bit of a trek if you need the loo in the night, but well lit.
Used the restaurant and bar, food and service was really good.

VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Apr 2024 We really enjoyed being able to park up and use the campervan as a base to go out biking from during the day.
The campervan area with hook-up is away from the main car park and buildings so quite peaceful as only four other vehicles. The downside of this is you have more of a walk to the facilities, as mentioned in other reviews, however it is not any longer than at a big campsite / park.
The staff were all very friendly, cheerful and helpful, especially in the ticket office when booking in.
A few things which would be easy to do to improve facilities - let people know that the main toilets stay open as there are only two toilets in the facility area and they also have showers, so in busy periods could all be in use. Also maybe could make it clear that the facilities can be accessed by all for hand washing, hair drying, tooth cleaning etc. This may be an issue for some. A few more hooks and a small bench to put clothes etc on within the individual shower rooms would also be useful.
We really enjoyed the venue and would come again. Many thanks.

Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Apr 2024 Stayed for MacAvalanche event and rode the trails next day.
Great food and drink from the bar, brilliant location and best facilities I have ever used. The only issue was on our first arrival, it was slightly confusing where to park in the pitches. Other than that, it was fantastic!
One night only Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Apr 2024 Ideal if you are a mountain biker, but area did resemble a builder's yard in places. But good for an overnight stop, with lovely warm showers.

Was promptly checked by the staff and verified as working, but could not connect so had to run off grid whilst paying for a hook up. The following week's hook ups were all ok, so was related to the site hook up on my evidence. But nice and quiet when we went.

Basics for an overnight stay
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Apr 2024 Clean and tidy, especially the toilets and hot shower (a little walk from the pitches down dark path and through a carpark area).
A nice café on site, though it was a ghost town when we went due to high winds and lots being shut.
The hardstanding pitches, we chose to park by the trees and brook rather than in the middle of "gravel park".
One pot wash sink which did have limited hot water. We didn't use electric hook up but still £33 a night. This site is probably best for those fully self contained.
Lots of mountain biking activities on site, not so much walking paths as restricted because of bike tracks.
It was quiet and easy to find. Everyone was friendly and helpful.

Cracking stay
Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Mar 2024 Great little site right next to the base station. Really lovely showers and toilet block - very modern, clean and excellent condition. Great place to trek up on the gondola or biking.
Nice little bar/restaurant which was open in the evening with lovely food/snacks.

We had a problem with the hook-up and the staff couldn't do enough to help us fix it. Incredibly kind.
Surprised how good
Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Mar 2024 Fantastic showers. Both toilets and showers were clean and warm.
It was very quiet and it's not until you walk round the corner you see how busy the main parking area is, that you realise how chilled out the park is.
I would absolutely stay here again if there's availability. Certainly a good idea for the location.
Fantastic stay
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Mar 2024 Brilliant location and campervan park, would highly recommend! Excellent for the bike trails and right near the skills area.
Only downfall is that the toilet/shower block was a little walk away from the parking spots, so would benefit a toilet block in the car park next to the wash station. Other than that, would definitely come back.

Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Mar 2024 Loved this little site. Great location. The facilities are spotless, possibly the best we have seen.
Having immediate access to the range for biking and walking was so good, we ended up staying two nights instead of one.
Very basic site but excellent showers Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Mar 2024 No lights at the campsite and had to wait on hot water heating up at the sink for washing dishes. Felt we were too close to other campers.

Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Feb 2024 An excellent site & location, but one little niggle - there is only a very small hook in the showers to hang your clothes. Could do with more hangers or a small stool.
Basic but did the job
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Feb 2024 The check in was brilliant, the guy was super friendly and efficient.
The van plots and spaces were great and level.
My only gripe is that the toilets and showers were really far away. This meant I had to accompany the kids constantly to go to the toilet as it was out of eye line.
We stayed for one night, it was quiet and comfortable.

Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Feb 2024 Facilities are basic, though tidy, but the new shower block is excellent, an outstanding facility. Why aren't all campsite showers like this?! Shame though that they appear not purely for the campsite. Not really sure why I was given a key card when they were permanently unlocked.
You can stay in the centre's main car park and access all the facilities except an electric hook up for at least £10 less. I felt that was expensive electric, even by todays cost.
That said, the centre is a great place to stay. Food at the centre is reasonably priced and very tasty. Definitely have a ride in a gondola up to the top, the view is spectacular.
This is my second visit and we will be back in the Autumn.

Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Jan 2024 Great location for visiting the mountain resort. Great facilities, which were spotlessly clean.
One negative point is the Wi-Fi signal did not cover the camping area.
Nice location
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Jan 2024 The Campervan Park location is superb, I have used the main car park many times over the years for MTB events and weekends away alike.
The showers and toilets are superb and spotless. I'm all for charging for these facilities but my only gripe is I thought £66 for 2 nights was a bit steep, it's not a cost I would be willing to pay on a regular basis.
Other than that, we had a great 2 nights away.
