Roof Tent - Electric Hardstanding Touring PitchesAug 2026

Beautiful location in the heart of Brecon. Has a decently stocked shop on site as well as a bar/restaurant. Prices were premium but nice selection of beers and ciders on tap. The park was spotless, shower facilities and toilets were cleaned regularly and the block was close to pitches. While the showers were warm enough the ventilation wasn't great so the rooms were dripping with condensation. Not a deal breaker by any means. Would definitely stay again.

A beautiful site with super surrounding countryside and lakeside views, made all the better by the local horses using the common to rest on after their trekking with happy riders. Staff were lovely and the village was nearby, as was the multi activity centre which was huge fun.

Lovely campsite, will definitely return. Just wished checked earlier as planned to have meal Sunday evening but food wasn’t being served and unable to find somewhere else locally, but this wouldn’t put us off staying again

Medium Tent - Electric Grass PitchesAug 2026

What a fantastic site! We were a group of 4, Nanny, Granddad and 2 granddaughters aged 9 and 5. We were in Orchard field, a lovely quiet field with its own toilet block, showers and washing up area. There was a superb cafe and well stocked shop on site and also a pub. The girls loved the lake, where we hired a rowing boat, and loved feeding the ducks and interacting with the wild horses that were very friendly. The location couldn't have been better, just outside the lovely village of Llangorse. We ate at The Castle pub on both of our 2 evenings. Lovely pub with great food. Even the weather was quite kind to us, during our stay, we only had a bit of rain. Would definitely return here.

Brilliant place at a brilliant price.

Lovely place to stay, very little light at nighttime made for beautiful stargazing weather. A bit of a drive to major locations but overall a good place.

Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Touring PitchesAug 2026

The cleaners had about 5 showers, toilets and wash hand basins to clean. Certain cleaners were only there 5 minutes as mirrors were not cleaned. Radiators rusty. I would not shower in there and used our own instead. Not a lot of staff around to see things going on. It states no ball games, that didn't happen. Other visitors leaving their dogs off their leads when the signs state to keep dogs on a lead at all times, that didn't happen. Nearly stepped in dog mess a few times due to other visitors not cleaning up after their dogs. I witnessed a dog going to toilet on the grass and the owner left it there and walked away. I wanted to go and have a word but my husband wouldn't let me. They need to have a member of staff walking around in the evening. It will be a wake up call, so disappointed and would not go back.

Lovely time

Nice site, nice location (but not actually lakeside)

VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass PitchesAug 2026

Good booking system and arrival details. Nice to online check in and drive straight in rather than having to wait to speak to someone, lovely and quick and simple. Nice spacious spot, good value for £22 per night inc electricity. Toilets and showers clean and spacious. Very nice surrounding however only (big) downside for me, which meant I actually only stayed one night rather than the 2 I paid for, is it's not actually 'lakeside' as the name suggests. In fact, you can't see the lake from the site at all (or in fact from the lakeside bar or lakeside cafe!) It is a short walk across a field and car park. Very nice when you get there. My mistake, I wrongly assumed based on the site name, but for anyone else looking to paddleboard like me, FYI you can't access the lake directly from the site, you will need to walk/drive to the water sports facility (and pay for lake access).

Excellent

Lovely campsite, well spaced out pitches. The wash blocks were convenient for us and we never had to queue. Nice individual rooms for showering. Plenty of waste bins, nothing overflowing. Very clean and litter free grounds throughout the site. The lakeside bar, café and shop were a great bonus.

Fantastic location & friendly staff

A fantastic campsite in an absolutely brilliant location. Hills, a lake and loads of things to do and see. Shop has everything you want, café is nice, if a little dated and a pub within walking distance of the campsite. What's not to love?

Great little stops lots to do

Site was great, lake was stunning just a 5 minute walk away, seeing the wild horses roaming. The site could have done with a few more showers and toilets but apparently from that it was great

What a gem of a campsite!

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent PitchesAug 2026

We have just had a brilliant stay at this site. The location is fantastic - not only is it beautiful, it's right at the heart of the Brecon Beacons and so very convenient for accessing all the region has to offer. We had an enviable pitch in a quiet part of the campsite as requested: the setting was lovely, on a meadow surrounded by trees. There is no problem with noise anywhere though, and whilst we were there, the guests very much respected the campsite rules, so a good sleep could be had by all. There is so much to do on the site and in the immediate vicinity, with lots of water sports to choose from and horse-riding a stone's throw away. My kids loved petting the horses when they were turned out on the common adjacent to the site in the evenings. The Llangorse Multi-Activity centre is also just a few minutes in the car and they have an awesome indoor climbing centre. What more can I say? Great walks in lesser frequented parts of the area straight from the site (including iron-age fort with fab views), a café and bar/eatery if you have no energy left to cook afterwards! The shop is great and the staff friendly. Thank you for a lovely holiday.

Large Tent - Electric Grass PitchesAug 2026

Beautiful campsite next to Llangorse Lake Ate at the café and the bar on site, both served good quality food. It's a short walk into Llangorse which has 2 pubs both serving food. We received a warm welcome at all the places we visited. The scenery around the campsite and lake is absolutely stunning. We hired a rowing boat on the lake and enjoyed some short walks around the campsite, we loved seeing the horses in the field next to our tent and watching beautiful sunsets. Great local roads with easy access to surrounding areas (we visited Pen Y Fan, Hay on Wye and Abergavenny). Facilities such as toilet, showers and washing up area clean and tidy. On site shop. Even though we visited in main school summer holidays the area wasn't crowded, really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return. We visited with our older teenage son but there were families with young children on site, there's a large field for ball games.

Brilliant stay
