Highly recommend!

Lovely large campsite with spacious pitches. There’s a small bar on site & a great pub right next door (Sawmills Freehouse) that you can walk to within minutes & they serve food & do a Sunday roast. There’s also a lovely cafe which overlooks the harbour just a 5 minute walk away which does a lovely breakfast & / or lunch (Storm in a Teacup). All are dog friendly 🐶

Stunning campsite, with clean facilities, lots of amenities (for a reasonable price!) and a lovely atmosphere. The staff were so helpful and kind, I couldn’t wish for a better site! Thank you!

I really enjoyed my stay here. The service was excellent, the food was very good, and there are lovely places to go for walks. The dog walking area is beautiful, which was a big bonus. And the view is absolutely priceless — a million-dollar view! ❤️ I really loved this place and I would happily come back again. Highly recommended!

We stayed in the valley and the end near the pub Its was a good private pitch and quite Enjoyed the bar and food van on the days we were on site Good location for water mouth harbour ( Storm in a tea cup cafe ) Saunton sands Clovelly

Great site!

Brilliant site, would recommend 100%! Staff are all very friendly and amenities are great. It would, however, be nice to be allowed to use a plug socket on site to charge phones if you don't have an electric pitch - you need to use a charging box for a fee in the kids' play area. The bar and food area are both very well priced - £5 per pint and £11-£13 for a pizza (very tasty!). Decent shop on site for minor supplies. Only downside, and not to do with the site itself, is there are only 3 buses per day to Combe Martin and Ilfracombe. However, the 3 that there are seemed to be reliable.

Thank you for your kind words, means a lot to us as a family, and will also pass on to the food and drink team. We aren’t a huge fan of paying for electric either, but there is a cost - if you saw our bills at the end of season you’d probably appreciate why we can’t just give it away.

Was okay

To start with the positives, on a whole this is a lovely site, depending where you're from I guess. Facilities for young kids and the adult bar and food hut, are great. The toilets/showers were adequate and clean. The dog field is fantastic. The wash/laundry room is good. The views are stunning, if you are fortunate enough to be pitched to be able to see them and not in the bottom field, on dog poo corner! We pitched our motorhome and awning privacy room and I'm not sure if it was due to the lack of rain in recent weeks/months, but there was a constant smell of dog mess. We have our own dog, but always make sure we clean up well after him. There was remnants of dried up mess on the corner we were pitched. We were close to the facilities, which is convenient, but if you prefer it quieter and appreciate the open/views more like us, be sure to request a sea view pitch. Being a water sign, I was very disappointed we did not get one, as that was what initially drew us to the site. Especially with our children being older teenagers. I was a little taken back when I went in the site shop fridge and turned around to see the shop attendant, watching over my shoulder? I found it very offensive. I felt that they had an obvious misconception about northerners, that will prevent us from returning to this site in future. We left 2 days early.

Excellent location, everything you need!

Great location for Ilfracoombe, Croyde etc.. lovely atmosphere and friendly family team running everything! Perfect camping ground with everything you need in one place!

Great family campsite

This is a well run, calm, established perfect family campsite. The food supplier was superb. Each night a different cuisine on offer. Great quality, value and this included the bar. You would think twice about leaving the campsite to pay much more for much less quality. The facilities were cleaned daily. The pitches are varied-sheltered, open, high up, or low in the valley. The brook helped me to sleep every night. We will book again.

Loved every second if the stay. Would highly recommend and return if in the area! Great bar and food and shop and showers. Lovely staff.

Lovely site - a bit slopey

This is a great site with some of the best facilities I've experienced. When we arrived, we were shown on a map how to find our pitch and, almost apologetically, were told there's a temporary / mobile loo in that top field as "we're still working on planning consent". I imagined those ghastly plastic festival portaloos, but found that even the temporary washrooms (a block of three (or four) on a trailer) were better and cleaner than most campsites' best toilets. These guys have achieved a level of cleanliness, catering, site management and organisation which is to be commended. The main combined toilet, shower and sink rooms are a genius idea (although a shelf would be helpful). The dishwashing and laundry room, and little shop are also great. We were fortunate to have a pitch with a sea view, which was just epic. The only downside (hardly a complaint as it's nobody's fault) is that the nearer you get to the great views, the more slopey the terrain becomes. We are infrequent campers and were ill-equipped for propping and jacking things up to make them level, which mostly affected our cooking and sleeping, but we'll be back - better prepared.

Nice site

Lovely campsite, very clean, quiet times observed by all campers. Excellent facilities, bar food etc. Great for kids. Staff very helpful. Would recommend. Couple of comments below. Gave standard of service a 3. Would have given a 3.5 but not possible. Ice blocks didn't freeze, other campers were mentioning this. I did report it. Internet access was not possible where I was camping (Ocean View). To access the internet, you had to go to the main area but even that was spasmodic. Proprietor did offer to connect me to their business internet which I declined. For me, it was quite good to have an online holiday . Suggestions - I'm vegan, but no vegan options on the printed menus (did see it offered on a poster near reception but it was too late when I saw it). Dog exercise area - I love dogs but sadly l lost mine very recently. Last night, I was quite shocked to see quite a few dogless gatherings in the dog exercise area. It was a beautiful day and that area has a beautiful sea view, which I'm assuming was the attraction. Had I been lucky enough to bring a dog, I would have been reluctant to take them in there It wouldn't have felt appropriate or safe for an exuberant dog to be running around among the groups that had gathered. My suggestion is that that area is reserved for exercising dogs.

Superb from start to finish

Superb location with nearby towns within a short drive. Site has fantastic views and top rate facilities. Friendly staff and a very clean site, the best I've been to in a long time. Wi-Fi isn't great but not an issue as camping is an escape from the norm of every day life and wasn't bothered about not being able to check email, although did hear a lot of people moaning about it but seriously, get a life, you don't need the internet in a location like Watermouth Valley, enjoy the beautiful views you're blessed with them, not your phone or tablet screens. The onsite food hut offered great choice for a meal if you don't fancy cooking or there's The Sawmills pub a short walk away, along with the bar on the site with a good selection of drinks given its size (a converted horse box). For me, Watermouth Valley ticked every box and would not hesitate to return to the site in the future. Great holiday and great experience at Watermouth Valley - 10/10.

Been a fantastic 2 weeks spent making memories as a family and couldn’t of picked a better site to have been on would 100% recommend and will be returning ♥️

Awesome campsite

A great campsite that didn't disappoint. Loved our time at Watermouth Valley Campsite and the dark skies meant we saw the meteor shower, shooting stars and Milky Way! Spectacular location, great facilities and actually on the SWCP. Can't wait to return!

Awesome and amazing

Lovely campsite, with very well kept facilities and grounds. Close to plenty beautiful beaches catering to those who love swimming, adventuring, beach walking and just admiring the view.

Really enjoyed our stay - stayed for 5 nights and hoping to stay for extra 2 nights next year. Well recommended this campsite.

North Devon watermouth ?

Absolutely loved our visit for a week. clean facilities. friendly staff, plenty of entertainment, food cabin and bar. Staff was very quick to deal with any situation on site

Lovely stay

The staff in comparison to other campsites were very attentive. We very much enjoyed our stay. We also enjoyed the nightime entertainment which was a bonus with a variety of food available (daily) from their evening food cabin.

Amazing campsite

The only thing I would change about the holiday was length of stay, we loved it here and would stay 2 weeks next time! We didn’t want to leave! Absolutely amazing place

Great location, friendly staff, good site

A great site with friendly staff. The on-site shop is well stocked at reasonable prices, and the facilities are well maintained throughout the day. There is a huge dog walking field, where the dogs can run off steam; it is also a great view morning/night of the sun over the horizon. The on-site catering service is to die for! The food is absolutely stunning and at such a reasonable price. Highly recommend the Sunday dinner :) The site location is within easy driving distance to a variety of activities; these are just a few that we did and highly recommend: Keypitts Quads, North Devon Aqua Park, Watermouth Castle and Tarr Steps The only downside of the camping park is the pitches; ours was a corner pitch which was great. However, the pitch was well used, with dips in all directions and tapered off to a hill. We did, however, make it work. Although this did make for a slight damper on the holiday for my disabled partner, a Blue Badge holder (advised when booking), due to the location of the pitch and the steep hill to get to/from the toilets. A holiday is what you make it at the end of the day, and overall, this was a great holiday park. Thank you for a great rest break!
