Honestly incredible 10/10
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Pitches Apr 2026 We have honestly never stayed at a more beautiful, clean and friendly campsite.
The facilities were luxurious and regularly cleaned an there was even a bath tub in the family bathroom which my 2 year old so had the most amazing time in on our 2nd night :)
Beautiful farm animals to feed and interact with around the premises and a fresh milk milkshake maker by reception was superb.
A 5 star rating isn’t enough.
Just working out if it’s cheaper to stay there forever rather than pay my mortgage 😂

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Apr 2026 We stayed one night camping non electric on a Friday night. We had the whole field to ourselves and the facilities were nice and clean. Great little shop and the local products are a bonus

Roof Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Apr 2026 Lovely small and incredibly friendly site. Facilities were spotlessly clean with everything we needed. Ideally positioned for both hiking and a short stroll to a couple of pubs. Addition of the animals that you are able to pet and feed is fantastic for kids.

VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Pitches Apr 2026 The park was clean, staff helpful, lovely spacious showers.
Only one thing is that it would be better if the pitches were more clearly marked as we had children playing ball in front of our van, in our area which was intrusive.
Dog area was great, loved the animals too.

Pomeroy
Medium Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Sep 2025 Booked only a month ago for a short get away with the pooches. Had to change dates with short notice, which was done quickly and easily!
The site is small and quiet with a range of electric and non electric pitches, direct access onto the high peak trail, clean shower and toilet block-the under heated flooring is heaven! Perfect base for hiking or just relaxing, they sell their own whole milk and dairy ice cream too!
I would definitely stay here again :)
My son's first camping trip
Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Sep 2025 I took my four-year-old son for his first camping experience, staying in a two-man tent in the back field, and he had a great time.
We had plenty of room, he loved the animals and we enjoyed getting fresh milk from the machine. We tried to walk to the nearby pub but we had to turn back as it was much further than advertised, although that was also linked to a four-year-old's patience! We ended up driving instead.
The only negative was the showers. We tried three of the four cubicles and the temperature was just impossible to manage, running ice cold or boiling hot, so much so that my son burnt his back a couple of times. We had to have a stand-up wash instead.
On the whole, it was great value for money and we enjoyed it. Hopefully the shower situation can be fixed.

Medium Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2025 Although we were only here for 1 night, we really enjoyed our stay. The instructions given for pitching up are really clear with everything explained. It had good sized facilities. It also has a small shop with essentials.
They sell their own fresh milk and also the most delicious ice-creams. The highlight for us was definitely seeing all their animals. A bit like a petting zoo.

The ice cream is a must! The Royal Oak 5 mins drive away does really good home cooked food!

The grounds were beautifully maintained, the scenery was peaceful, the animal experience was awesome and the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming.
We loved the blend of nature, the animals and charm - it made for a truly memorable getaway. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing and unique camping spot!
Beautiful & fun Peak District campsite
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2025 We were greeted by very helpful and friendly staff, the site is very well maintained and the facilities are clean and modern. Our only gripe is that showers would fluctuate between very hot to cold, something that is easily fixed.
The site has the added benefit of being on a dairy farm, fresh milk, milks shakes and Pomeroy's own ice cream made on site available from the small site shop alongside other essentials. Easy access to the Tissington Trail and many walks beyond, the fabulous Royal Oak pub being just 25mins down the trail serving amazing food and a good selection of drinks.
The kids loved being able to feed, walk and pet to the goats, as well as seeing the funny sheep with their stripy feet and the adorable mini cows. We had an amazing weekend, definitely a place to stay again.
Brilliant family campsite
Medium Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2025 Brilliant campsite for families.
Staff were incredibly helpful throughout our stay. The facilities were very clean and modern, the shower cubicles were very large and the water kept warm for the whole shower.
Although there seems to be a bit of night time noise from the local area, once asleep, we didn't notice it at all. We especially loved the opportunity to get daily fresh milk/ice cream and to pet the animals. The location was perfect for us, maximum 30 mins to hike some of the best views around.
We will definitely be back, thank you everyone who made our stay as enjoyable as it was.
Lovely campsite
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2025 We had a lovely stay at Pomeroy Farm campsite. The facilities were great - big shower rooms with plenty of hot water, everything spotlessly clean. The pitches were a good size & well spaced-out. There was a small shop on site that sold a few basics as well as a lovely choice of ice creams!
Our only slight misgiving would be the noise from the main road. Although the campsite was well set back from the road, it was pretty busy during the night & early morning. This was perhaps more noticeable to us as we live in an area where there's not much traffic, may not be an issue for most people.
