Motorhome - Serviced Hardstanding Pitches Aug 2025 Campsite pitch booked lately and Jane did her best to help us. The place is super quiet, in the middle of the fields. We wanted to visit Edinburgh. Once again Jane helped us to find the best way to combine a big motorhome and visiting the city. If we come back, we would certainly organise the trip the same way but trying to be more on the site to benefit from the farm products.
Peace Recommends site
Single Axle Caravan - Serviced Grass Pitches Aug 2025 Stayed here before, the site has a great location for peace and quiet, site set up and layout ideal for pets and children.
The best place on Earth! Recommends site
Motorhome - Serviced Hardstanding Pitches Jun 2025 What can I say, this was the best place ever. It was quiet, clean and the family and those who run the site are the kindest people on Earth. We felt so welcomed.
You are slightly removed by foot from things but wasn't an issue as the on site farm shop has the most delicious array of things. I made a whole meal from things only sourced from there.
One of the owners directed us to a spot with our dog where there is a cute cabin with a fire pit and the most incredible sunset views. We and our dog felt so incredibly welcomed. Couldn't give this enough praise. Thank you!

Hi Elly,
Thanks so much for your amazing review! It was a pleasure having you and so glad you enjoyed your time here on the farm. Hope to welcome you back again!
Best wishes,
Paolo
Nice site but noisy surroundings Single Axle Caravan - Serviced Grass Pitches Jun 2025 A nice, flat and grassy field with access to water and sewage right by your pitch. Quite large gaps between power boxes so you must have a long extension lead.
What we didn't like was the noise. Tractors, often passing trains, as well as loud explosions as if they were coming from a 'canon' which started at 6am and were very frequent. We don't know what it was.
Site's response
Thank you very much for your feedback and I'm sorry to hear that the noises that you highlighted on the farm had a negative impact on your stay with us.
We are extremely transparent with regards to us being a working farm on our website, as well as all of the other channels we advertise or are able to book through. The nature of being a working farm means that there will be movement of agricultural machinery such as tractors, ATV's etc depending on the work the team are undertaking during the day.
The canons you mentioned are gas guns designed to scare off the birds from the crops in the surrounding fields and are a very common feature at this time of year in rural areas across the country.
Was okay for a quick stop over Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Standard Pitches May 2025 The campsite was fine but very basic. No toilets or facilities, which we knew about when we booked, but we just needed the campsite so we weren't travelling for 8 solid hours.
It's on a working farm however, you are not allowed to go see the animals. The site is next to a train line with regular trains passing by but didn't hear them that much.
Site's response
Thanks so much for your review and feedback. Although we do not have toilets or a shower block and therefore the facilities the site offers may seem basic, we pride ourselves on having our very own farm shop selling pork and lamb reared here on the farm along with our own free range hen and duck eggs and a host of other local produce.
We do have a number of guests that book with us for longer periods and choose our serviced pitches which lend themselves better to these types of stay as these plots have water, EHU and grey waste drains directly to them providing a more convenient setup and less visits to the disposal area.
I'm sorry to hear that you felt that you were unable to see the animals. We don't discourage seeing the animals but ask that guests are mindful when it comes to keeping dogs on a lead and the animals not being fed. As a working farm we love to show guests the animals and talk about what we do. There is also a lovely farm walk that takes you past all of the livestock. There are also two pet sheep and our free range ducks tucked in the paddock behind our farm shop who always love a visit from our guests to both the shop and caravan sites.
I do hope you will stop by again on your travels as we would be delighted to show you around the animals and talk about the farm. Mr Brand in particular loves an impromptu farm tour!
Best wishes,
Paolo
