Wonderful wild hosts

We stayed for two nights over the summer solstice and the big skies didn't disappoint us, with a beautiful sunset on the longest day. What really left an impression about this gorgeous site was its biodiversity - you are literally camping in a wildflower meadow full of orchids and fabulous minibeasts - the way the pitches and paths are mown allows you to move around without disturbing anything, and really feel amongst it. I stayed with my 11 year-old daughter who is autistic. She loved the tranquil spaces and laid-back feel of the place. We were woken in the morning by sky larks, and in the evenings she would sit for a while and watch the horses in the dusk. Darren and his dog, Molly, made us feel very welcome and the whole place was spotlessly clean and well-facilitated. Thank you all for a really relaxing stay!

Very nice stay

The campsite manager was very helpful at our arrival (later than expected), and the accommodations are great!

Fabulous campsite

Really lovely site with exceptional view. Luxurious tent, comfortable beds. Very clever small kitchen sheds near to tent with all appliances, crockery etc. Very much enjoyed our stay. Facilities good, clean and everything works.

Fantastic glamping & camping

Beautiful hidden gem with a personal touch! Kenny the owner is a super host and Laura is amazing. The place is very clean, showers are nice, clean, and hot!

Short break

Lovely location with beautiful views. Great amenities, especially the hot water to wash up, and showers. Dog loved the walks in the morning. Didn't much like the shooting from the clay club. Would come back again.

Our stay

Lovely wild campsite, suitable amenities, close to a local town, but far enough you still feel that you are getting away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life! Amazing sunset and views. Camping pitches are nicely placed at a good distance from fellow campers. The place had a wild feel, with wild meadows/grass between pitches. Good basic facilities. A few more hooks to hang clothes / washing bags in the main shower / toilet room would be helpful. An excellent, chilled stay. We stayed in a bell tent and it had everything we needed - the tea, coffee, hot chocolate and marshmallows were a lovely touch. We can’t wait to return!

Lovely quiet campsite, lots of considerations made for campers. Would benefit from hooks or shelves in the ablutions.
