Great one night stay

We wanted to book for the whole bank holiday weekend but could only get one night on the Sunday but so glad we did, lovely place to stay lots of green space and good size pitches not too close to other people. Great facilities toilets and showers and very clean, bonus of a pub and restaurant with food and wonderful ice cream place which also did breakfast. Farm location good for camping with tents motorhomes or caravans.

Fab week with the teenagers who loved every second exploring Kent and can't wait to come back... great location to explore, friendly staff, calm and peaceful...5 stars.

Loved it

We absolutely loved this campsite. It's big but not crowded, plenty of clean facilities, quiet. We enjoyed the ice cream, tractor rides, maize maze combo and enjoyed the pub and pool table. Staff were friendly and helpful. Seriously no complaints. We didn't realise no campfires are allowed which is a shame, but it didn't ruin our good time. Would love to return. Family of four, kids 6 & 10.

Utterly brilliant

This place is brilliant, super friendly, great facilities, lovely views. Just the perfect campsite. Can't thank the staff enough for being so accommodating.

Great campsite, service and personnel

Fantastic few days, very warm welcome from Stephen (Mr Solley), nice bar area, great pizza's, biggest / best Ice-creams I've ever been served. Lovely location just a few mins drive or 20 mins cycle to Deal and Kingsdown.

Fantastic for an overnight ferry

Great site for an overnight before ferry from Dover. Host was not there when we arrived but guided us in via phone. Very helpful. Pub was only open until 8 but we didn't need more than that. Girl behind the bar very helpful. Quite busy but very quiet.

Lovely as always

Great campsite with hot showers and a bar! Fantastic.

Campground near Dover, narrow road, no gray water dump

Narrow road. No grey water dump station. Nobody around, had to make phone call. Ice cream was good - you should try.

Hello Sabrina Thank you for your review. I'm sorry you found the country lanes a bit tight. Unfortunately I have no control over the access to the sight, but do advise a preferred route on request. I understand you phoned my site manager Rob who talked you on to your pitch 20 as he was unfortunately called away but asked you to phone him if you had any questions. We try to recommend the grey water waste is placed under the new hedging to keep it moist rather than it placed in the chemical waste unit which was approximately 25metres in front of your pitch. I hope this clarifies your concerns and I am glad you enjoyed your ice cream and hopefully you will return another day. Regards Stephen

Excellent

Highly recommend a stay a Solley's... Great facilities and the shower block is very clean. Pizza van on a Friday night which was delicious. Can't fault the stay at all, be great if there was a small shop but that's just being greedy. We were greeted and shown our pitch which was pitch 23. Water tap opposite the pitch and just a few yards from the showers and toilets.

Best campsite we have stayed at

We would really recommend Solley's campsite. Rob was very friendly and made sure that we settled in well. Solley's ice cream is absolutely delicious. The campsite is well kept. There was a pizza night on Friday, the wood fired pizza was amazing better than any take away. A well equipped bar was on site, and there was a band playing on Saturday. Walks around the farm were beautiful and very peaceful. We will definitely return.

Fab people and ice cream

Rob was brilliant as were all the staff. Super friendly and helpful. Do check before you go for activities. Ice cream super, fantastic cappuccinos and bacon roles. Great club bar.

Great place for some time out

Very quiet when we were there, and all in great order. The location was lovely, rolling fields great for dog walking. Pitches were well spaced out you did not feel hemmed in, shrubs have been planted to separate hard standing pitches. The toilet block was very well maintained, providing a shower, basin and toilet. There was a bar available in the evening, not long hours but a good meeting place. Food and ice cream, of course, was available on site and at a fair price. The site for us provided all that we wanted for a three day break, would certainly consider returning. The team on site were all very friendly and helpful.

Fantastic couple of nights

What can I say, absolutely the best place to camp or pitch up. Great facilities including a pub and lovely clean showers/toilets. Staff are so polite and helpful. This is our 3rd year to Solley's, we will be back again. 5 stars from us 🌞👍😃

Excellent site, perfect for Eurotunnel travel

Nice site, friendly staff & an excellent little pub. 10/10 would use again.

Great site, food and ice cream

Great site, only 30 mins from the Euro Tunnel. BBQ at the side of the pub served delicious burgers and sausage, very professional set up where the staff actually care about your stay. The showers and toilets could do with a revamp but they were clean. Finally, the ice creams were great, with generous portions too. We'll be back.

Brilliant family campsite

We loved our stay, will definitely be back. Live music at the onsite pub was great, ice cream parlour went down very well with the kids. Great campsite.

Brilliant site

Great little site with inspired ice-cream parlour and pub. Nice walks. Beautiful area and very respectful campers. Extremely quiet from 10pm. Will definitely be back :)

Excellent

Staff were very friendly and Steven, the owner, was fantastic as we had a few issues with setting up as was first time in motorhome. Ice cream is amazing, café at ice cream parlour is great.

A lovely stay

We really enjoyed our break at Solley's. The only negative was toilet (not shower cubical toilets) could do with being decorated and made a bit cleaner.

Very good campsite

A very nice and helpful owner of the camping helped us with our place at the camping. We had a very good and pleasant stay here. A real recommendation!

Good but on view

Good, but planted hedge between the pub and campsite will tale too long to grow. Suggest bare root stock of native hedgerow plants of hawthorn etc. Will be 6ft in a few years. No good on Saturday evening though, had to order takeaway.

Fantastic weekend

Had a fabulous time at this site, hosts were very welcoming, great clean facilities, visited the onsite pub that had live music playing. There were tractor rides and the ice cream parlour was lovely too. A great site for all. We will be back again. Thank you.
