About the site
Escape the everyday hustle and bustle with a stay at this peaceful glamping retreat, where guests can truly switch off and even enjoy a digital detox. Set in the heart of the Eden Valley, the lowest population density area in England, this hidden gem is nestled between the fells of the Lake District and the Pennines. Known for its breathtaking landscapes, abundant wildlife and unspoilt countryside, it's one of Cumbria's best-kept secrets. Guests naturally slow down here, taking time to appreciate the stunning surroundings and notice small details that are so easily missed in everyday life. The ensuite glamping pods are named after local Pennine landmarks, including Croglin, Melmerby and Cross Fell. Each features an ensuite shower room and a comfortable space to enjoy all year-round. With just three pods onsite, positioned to maximise privacy, guests can enjoy plenty of space. Inside, there are double beds and a double sofa bed, cooking facilities and an ensuite bathroom with a shower and toilet. Outside is a fire pit. The large camp kitchen offers a communal space to relax with other guests. Croglin and Melmerby Pods can sleep up to four guests, while the Cross Fell pod can sleep up to five with an additional small single-chair bed. For something a little different, guests can stay in the Henrietta Train Carriage. This replica train carriage sleeps two and includes a double bed, a kitchen area and an ensuite bathroom. Outside, you'll find a private seating area and fire pit. The Clarabel Brake Van offers a unique stay with a nod to Britain's industrial heritage. This dog friendly carriage includes a separate bedroom and bathroom, providing extra space to spread out and relax. Up to two dogs are welcome to join you in the Cross Fell or Croglin pod. BBQs and fires are only permitted in the raised fire pits provided by the site.
Eden Valley Glamping is open from 01/01 to 30/09. Stay from £85/night for 2 people (2-night minimum).
