Perfect family campsite

First time using the campsite and straight away, we thought this is going to be our future family holiday spot. Were a young family with 2 small kids and we felt safe on here. Luckily, our spot was close to the toilet/shower, so our nearly 7 year old was able to use these facilities on his own and we knew he would be ok. Great camp rulings which made a nice quiet atmosphere, the people who run this site were so helpful and friendly and always around checking things. Toilet and shower block were spotless, I absolutely loved how clean they were. Showers are coin operated at a very cheap price and was more than happy to pay it. We also like the check in and out times, we didn't feel rushed to get off the pitch unlike other sites we've used in the past. It means we had plenty of time to get up have breakfast then pack away. The site is close enough to Barmouth, pubs and nice walks which means plenty to do whilst using this place as base camp. Price per night we thought was amazing too, very affordable for a family holiday. Can't complain about anything about this site and you will definitely be having our custom for years to come.

Gorgeous Campsite

A beautiful location, the site was lovely and clean. It was well maintained and had lovely owners. Also the pub was only a few minutes walk and had amazing food.

Great site!

Lovely stay here. We left early due to the weather, but really friendly, safe, clean and peaceful site. Would highly recommend!

Nice site close to beach

Great site with a view of the sea and mountains. Not too busy and lots of space for kids to play. Owner was very nice and welcoming. Only negative would be the state of the toilets sometimes. I know this is due to some of the people using the facilities, but feel they were not cleaned well enough or often enough.

Sorry for your bad experience. The toilets are checked regularly and cleaned at least 3 times a day. If there was an issue, it's a shame that you did not contact us at the time. We take great pride in presenting our facilities to a high standard and they are cleaned thoroughly each time. We are sorry this spoilt your stay.

Outstanding, can't wait to return

Gorgeous location with stunning views. The upkeep of the site was absolute perfection, the cleanliness, presentation and facilities were outstanding. Fit pits are available to hire for the duration with a supply of kindling and logs. Beach within a few minutes drive with ample parking and Barmouth a 10 minute drive. The One Stop shop is about 4 minutes drive and has everything you need, along with very friendly and helpful staff. Already looking to book for next year and will definitely be staying for longer.

Cannot complain

I cannot complain, the toilets and showers were very clean and new. The showers work on a token system but for the price of the pitch, this was not a deal breaker at all. The land was very clean and scenic, pitching up was easy and the lady at the farmhouse was very polite and friendly. The beach was sandy and beautiful, even with the wind and rain.

Visit to Wales

Enjoyed our stay. Barmouth was a lovely place to visit. Had some lovely drives out to visit surrounding areas.

Fantastic farm stay

We had a lovely stay! Great surroundings with a sea view. Loved the animals! The facilities were modern and clean!

Fantastic

This was our first camping trip with the kids and they loved it, with the nice woodland walk from the camp up the river and playing on the swings. This site was fantastic, super clean shower and toilets. Lovely family and pet friendly environment. It's that nice we our booking our next trip as soon as I have finished this review (just got back).

Lovely campsite

Lovely campsite, the owners are amazing and very helpful. The facilities are clean and the site is very spacious and in a great location for a peaceful break. Highly recommend!

Perfect short stay

Travelling around Wales. Perfect, easy stop off spot.

Pretty location

Pretty views from site, good location with easy access into Barmouth. Modern, clean toilet block, but not sure how they would manage if the site was full, e.g. only 2 showers. Was surprised to find that had to pay for showers as don't remember seeing this in the details when I made the booking and with the price pppn they should be free.

We are pleased you enjoyed your stay. We do state that our showers are coin operated. We also have a further family/disabled room with shower, toilet and baby changing facilities in the block - which gives a total of 5 showers. If we do get very busy we also open our other smaller block where we have a further 2 showers and 5 toilets.

Beautiful campsite with lots to offer

Lovely place, we really enjoyed our stay at Llwyn Griffri campsite! Great facilities clean toilets and showers on site. Wildlife was amazing to see we really loved our night and we will return soon! Highly recommend. Gorgeous views and peaceful site! Thank you so much!

Camping

Beautiful location and well kept site. Shower was far too hot with no availability to change temperature. Would recommend.

Well worth a trip here

Had a lovely stay for our first road trip in the van. Owner was nice and friendly, pub was a very short walk and nice food. Facilities clean and well look after and close to Barmouth. Will definitely visit again, thank you.

Nice one night stay when backpacking

Great one night stay. Everything clean and tidy and a nice little pub a few minutes walk away.

Coin meters

Site was okay and showers were clean, but I was totally shocked to see a coin meter to operate the showers. Never seen this before in all my travels from the North of Scotland down to and through England and Wales. Who has coins now? Ruined for me, what would have been a great site. Easy access to a pub with good food, just the shower situation spoiled it.

We are sorry to hear that the coin operated showers ruined your stay at our campsite. We have always charged a small fee for the use of the showers in order to keep pitch cost down.

Great discovery

This was a great site - well maintained and a great location and easy walk to the village (with pubs) but still felt like you were away from it all. We will definitely return.

Pleasant stay

Very clean and tidy, maybe some lighting around so easier when going to toilet block in the dark.

Highly recommended

I recently stayed at this camp and was thoroughly impressed. The location is incredibly convenient, with a short walk to the beach and nearby hiking areas. The views are stunning, especially on sunny days. It's only a 10-minute drive to Barmouth, where you'll find more amenities, shops, and a larger beach. The campsite itself is very quiet, and the facilities are clean. Customer service was excellent, with no issues during booking or arrival. I highly recommend this site and look forward to returning!

Perfect pitch

As new campervan owners, we couldn't have chosen a better place for our first night. Pitch was flat with EHU, toilets really clean, 2 showers in each toilet area, £1 for 6 mins, water temp perfect and fairly powerful water flow. Washing up facilities in between the male & female toilets with 2 sinks. Lovely pub a few minutes walk away, would definitely recommend to anyone with a caravan, campervan or tent!

Wonderful stay

My group of four friends, comprising two couples, recently enjoyed a night at Llwyn Griffri Touring and Camping Site on June 1st. Overall, we had a pleasant stay at this picturesque camping spot nestled in the Welsh countryside. The campsite offered spacious pitches that accommodated our two tents comfortably. While the facilities at the campsite were generally clean and well-maintained, we did encounter one minor inconvenience. The need to pay for showers was unexpected, and we felt it would have been preferable if this had been clearly communicated beforehand or included in the camping fee. Nonetheless, this did not significantly dampen our enjoyment of our stay. We found the staff to be friendly and helpful, and they were readily available to assist with any questions or concerns we had. Despite the small hiccup with the shower situation, we thoroughly enjoyed our time at Llwyn Griffri Touring and Camping Site. Overall, we would recommend this campsite to fellow travelers seeking a peaceful retreat in the Welsh countryside. With its beautiful surroundings and welcoming atmosphere, it offers the perfect setting for a memorable camping experience.
