About the site


The site is set within 24 acres of natural surroundings, offering stunning views across the Churnet Valley and the Weaver Hills. This off grid, eco friendly spot is ideal for families and couples looking to reconnect with nature and explore Staffordshire. Days out can be spent at Alton Towers, just a short ten minute drive away. Take your pick from non electric meadow and woodland pitches, ideal for tents and small VW-sized campervans. For something extra private, the Secret Garden pitch offers a secluded space enclosed by tall hedges and trees, for small groups of adults, for two to five tents. Families can enjoy the spacious family grass pitches, suited for tents only. There are several picnic benches available, and every pitch has a fire pit Staying here, you're well placed to explore Dovedale (20 minutes), or venture further afield to Stoke-on-Trent (30 minutes) and Derby (40 minutes) for a range of attractions and days out. Sorry, dogs are not allowed.

Onsite, there are compost drop toilets, gas powered showers, cold water washing-up sinks, and drinking water taps.

Guests will also find a small book library, a bike repair shop, and can hire out bikes and BBQs.

A 25 minute walk will take you to the Duncombe Arms, a gastropub serving a range of hot meals and cold drinks. Within a 15 minute drive, you will also find a Morrisons, a Sainsbury's, an Aldi, and an M&S Foodhall.

Secluded space surrounded by tall hedges and mature trees which has space for between two and five tents across the pitch. Ideal for small groups of adults.

6 x Non Electric Family Camping Pitches

Spacious grass pitches for families only. Pitches are suitable for tents.

Things to do on site and in the Uttoxeter area

Family days out can be spent at Alton Towers, a short ten minute drive from the site, an adventure park with roller coasters, rides, gift shops and more!

Peak Wildlife Park (20 minutes) is a great spot to visit birds, mammals, rare pigs, and meerkats.

Scenic days out can be spent at the National Trust's Ilam Park (20 minutes) with a number of different walks, trails, an abundance of wildlife, and a tea room.

If you fancy a day in nature, the Peak District National Park is a 20 minute drive, you can even hire a bike from the site and set off to explore!

For more adventure, drive to Trentham Estate (35 minutes), a 725 acre estate with various gardens, shops, a monkey forest, and an adventure course.

Following suit, Gulliver's Kingdom is a 40 minute drive, another popular theme park with rides for all ages.
