A beautiful campsite with stunning views

This was our first time in Wales camping and we will be going again. The site itself is moderately sized with good showers and toilets, flat pitches, friendly staff, a small shop, escaping sheep and 5 gorgeous donkeys. The staff were welcoming and we even learnt to shepherd the 2 hand-reared lambs back to where they needed to be after their regular escapes. The site itself is in a great location. We went up Snowdon via the Llanberis path which is about 20 minutes with other beautiful towns and villages with a shortish drive away. We will be returning no doubt.

Loved every minute!

Absolutely fantastic place to spend time away and forget your usual life. We rented a pod (Moel) which is located right in front of the field where the sheep and the donkeys live, so we watched them roaming around all day. The donkeys are really cute and really made our stay a lot more interesting. Great views of the mountains around, and while you feel you're out in the wild, the town is very close and has all the shops you might need in case you forgot anything home. In fact, next time when we'll be around the food shopping will be done right there instead of carrying them from home. Also, great staff! We will definitely come again.

Great site, great staff, perfect for exploring Snowdonia. We loved our time here!

Quick trip away

Nice quiet area. We had a pod, which was nice and clean and had a tap with fresh running water outside. Only thing we found odd was there was no bin close by to take our rubbish. Microwave on site if you wished to use it. Toilets and showers spotless.

Great campsite at the foothills of Snowdonia

Lovely site on a working farm, the owners are extremely accommodating and the facilities are superb and extremely clean! Possibly the best showers we have used in all locations we have visited on our road trip! We have a large Motorhome, and the final drive to the camp is a little tight, but worth it once booked in x

Beautiful site!

This was such a lovely campsite with mountains all around. The site and facilities were great & very clean. Lyn & her husband are very approachable & personally got some fresh eggs for our breakfast which were delicious! Their very friendly dog Griff came over to welcome us too & got on very well with our dog. Such a sweetie. I think he sees it as his job to welcome everyone to the site!! 😁🐶💙 Highly recommend 👍

Our stay

Wonderful! Will definitely return, as it suited our needs perfectly. The view and location were beautiful. Everything was spotlessly clean and the facilities were more than adequate. Everyone was helpful and went above and beyond. Thank you for a lovely weekend.

Amazing site and pod

Booked last minute for a solo get away and cannot fault the place. Great location, not a far drive from Caernarfon and also not too far in car to Llanberis. Stayed in Behog pod which had 4 plugs and a heater. Pod came with decking, picnic bench and BBQ. Lots of space around me an parking space next to it for my car. Toilets and showers were clean and shower was great as it was a rainfall style with adjustable heat. On site they have a utility room you can wash your pots but in there also is a fridge and microwave. Lynn checked me in and was helpful through out. Very nice peaceful site. Will be going back again with my fiancée and daughter as they had a great park she would love.

Beautiful spot

The scenery at this campsite is unreal. My little boy loved having lambs running through the campsite too. We will definitely be coming again.

A beautiful location and managed by a lovely family

This campground is perfect for families with children, who are well catered for. The campsite was very clean and the owners went to great lengths to maintain and look after all the site and facilities. I would recommend this location and would certainly return again if in the area.

Great location with superb views - highly recommended

Great location to local hiking including Snowdon. Spectacular views around and a lake close by where you can swim or paddleboard. Only downside is not enough facilities, like showers and toilets. Also, we have booked with 12 amp electrics and upon arrival we had 6. Luckily, staff managed to change the circuit breakers and we could use what we need and what we have prepared for. I would highly recommend this campsite anyway.

Lovely site

Lovely clean site. Staff very friendly. Not much to do around the campsite (which we knew this before booking). There is a local bus service and a steam train nearby & a pub.

Lovely, clean and well set out

We had a lovely friendly welcome from staff. Very helpful with trip advice information.

Pretty spot but a long way down the lane

We have quite a wide motorhome and did find that the narrow lane to the campsite was quite challenging. However, the site manager was really helpful and gave us some great advice for our onward travel. The campsite is very picturesque and the facilities were clean, although there were not that many showers so might be insufficient if the campsite was busy.

Great little place

I only stayed one night briefly but it was easy check in, in a great location with very clean shower and toilet facilities. It had a great area for the campervan, not overcrowded.

Fabulous campsite

Me and my family had a lovely 7 night stay here. The site was amazing, staff couldn't do enough for us. My little boy wanted to feed a little lamb and they sorted it for us and the owner showed us around the farm and explained about all the new farming. Definitely back next year, thank you.

Family weekend break

A nice family site. Felt it could be a bit black and white with the rules with staff going round site checking in on you.

Beautiful site

Staff very helpful, informative and friendly. Site is well looked after, beautiful, has a small shop with a few bits you may have forgotten, which was great because we did. Only a 10-15 min walk to the pub that serves decent pub grub.

Fantastic holiday

Fabulous site set in beautiful scenery. This was our first stay with our caravan in North Wales and we were very impressed. Darren (site manager) gave us lots of local knowledge and an insight into places to visit. We shall def visit again!!!

Snowden climb campsite with a beautiful mountain view

Great campsite for Snowden Rydd du route climb. Beautiful setting with walks from the site to lakes. Clean, friendly farm site. Allows camp fires and close to beautiful beaches. Note the lane to the site is quite narrow and windy. Would totally recommend.

Great place, we will be back!

Great place! We just got back from this campsite and we have only good things to say about it. We stayed in one of the pods. The pod had heating and light. On the site, there is playground (very modern), two blocks with toilets and showers, and hot water. Utility room with washing and dryer machines, fridge and freezers and even a microwave! There is a small shop at the reception so if you forgot something, you can buy it. We love that my kids could get close to animals- they loved donkeys and lambs (even got to cuddle one and bottle feed them). Campsite apart from pods and campervan /van spots has electric and non-electric tent spaces, that are even, so you won't slip down in your sleep! The place itself is situated in a very quiet area at the back of the Snowdonia. It's a great place to travel from-close to Caernarfon- which has 4 famous Castles in the area. About 50 min drive to Conwy and Llandudno. Anglesey Island is not far either. For kids in close area, you can visit Greenwood or underground bounce caves! We will definitely book it again! My kids are already planning it for next year. We would like to thank Len (I really hope I have his name right) who made lamb feeding/ cuddling possible for my boys…they will never forget this experience! Thank you! Ps. Our internet signal (well phone signal) wasn't the best, but the site has a WiFi that worked really well! PPs. And the thousand stars at night that we normally don't get to see...

Ideal campsite for Snowdon

Lovely campsite and very well kept. Staff were friendly and helpful. An ideal location if you're hicking/climbing Snowdon with a really good path 15 minutes away.
