Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Sep 2026 Lovely site, so glad we found it. Lots of options to pitch tent and park close by. The lake is beautiful and the views from the camp amazing too. Shared facilities good, pizza in the evening tasty and good location for walking or visiting local towns. Surprisingly quiet considering amount of people there!

Downside was its quite expensive for 1 night stay, I was solo with roof tent.

My only critism is due to the amount of dogs on site, there was naturally some dog owners that do not clean up after them selves which became apparent with numerous bags around the facilities and surrounding areas.
Great location and beautiful site
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Aug 2026 This campsite is lovely in terms of location and views. The pitches themselves are great and the area is stunning. The lake is beautiful and I really enjoyed a daily swim.
However, the facilities really need work/increasing for the amount of people that use them. The main toilet blocks have around 7 toilets and I think 6 showers and for the size of the site is not enough. The shower area floods outside and the path is extremely slippy.
The only other site toilets are a couple of permanent festival type toilets that get quite grim. Daily blocking and can get really dirty inside, not cleaned enough, they definitely need to invest in a separate toilet block and improve current ones.
The campsite shop is really limited, no fresh milk or bottled water and very expensive.
The pizzeria is lovely and morning breakfast, although £3.50 for a pastry is also very expensive.
I would stay again as the site itself is lovely and in such a great location for surrounding walks but the facilities do need some work for the amount of people that stay.

VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Hardstanding Pitches Aug 2026 Incredible scenery surrounding the site. Staff were friendly and helpful, the shop is so well stocked, from handy food items to waterproofs and sleeping bags! We had the pizza one night, which was delicious, and a cooked breakfast before our hike. The spuds looked yummy too! Next time I will take a camping toilet for night time needs, but for the size of the site, the facilities were well maintained. Definitely be visiting again!

Lake and river is excellent and very accessible. Campsite grounds were kept clean.
Bathrooms, showers and wash up area felt quite run down, although enough resource for a very large campsite (most of the time), would benefit from more toilets in the further parts of the site.
Pizza shop on site, although we didn't try. Brewery on site an excellent addition which we enjoyed.

Too many campers, no relaxation Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2026 Lovely location as it's on the lake, but far too many people and no organisation when it comes to pitching.
No one is doing the 6m distance, no one's coming round after 11pm or later to say to other campers to be quiet. We were next to a drunk idiots that kept us up all night.
Food is terrible and the shop is hardly ever open for the amount of people that they've allowed on the site. Showers and toilets need more regular cleaning too.

VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Aug 2026 Great site - highly recommend this spot, especially if you enjoy being on the lake and near the paths to walk snowdon. Only feedback would be to change the spring loaded toilet block doors as noisy throughout the night if you are on a pitch near them. Otherwise great site with excellent pizza!

Kayak hiring was brilliant,£7 an hour is a bargain. Definitely going back before summer is over!

Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2026 We had a wonderful stay at Llyn Gwynant.
We hired paddleboards for the very reasonable price of £10 per hour and enjoyed the lake and its beautiful views. The pizza restaurant was a bit expensive but a welcome treat for us, although they only do the jacket potatoes on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
The little shop was also super helpful and sold a few of the bits we'd forgotten (as well as cold drinks!) We also appreciated that there were toilets dotted about, so we didn't have to trek really far to get to a loo. We only stayed for 1 night but will definitely be back as there's so much to do in the area!

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2026 The facilities available were 5 star, their description does not give it justice.
The staff were friendly, welcoming and inviting. I took my family and dogs and it was all suitable for everyone. We spent the week exploring, kayaking on the site lake and wild swimming. The location and views were breath-taking will definitely be returning again with my family.
Loved this place so much!
Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2026 I've just got back from spending 4 days here and am already planning when I can return!
It is in the most beautiful location - I spent hours every day just looking out onto that lake. There was lots of space to pitch up. They offer pizzas and breakfast in the morning - there's even a brewery! It seems like a popular campsite and the vibes were just great!
The only things that could be improved (in my opinion) are an adult only space (even a small part of one of the fields) and more women's showers or make the shower cubicles unisex. Reasoning: there was always a massive queue to the women's but not the men's. This was often due to the kids all showering with their mums (not a criticism - just want to see an even distribution in wait time).

Great views but dirty VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Aug 2026 Best views of our holiday, unfortunately spoilt by the Glastonbury type toilets. A real shame in my opinion.

Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2026 Enjoyed my stay, only issue was parking, couldn't park near to my tent. Few more spaces and marked for each field would be good. Strange to have an onsite brewery but was good and was good taste.
Overall, I'd say it's a nice place to go to and the views are amazing.

The facilities are good and clean. The location is stunning 😍 make sure you bring your wet suit to make the most of the lake!
Only thing to be aware of is the onsite shop is very limited, for example, it stocks UHT milk, not fresh milk.

VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Hardstanding Pitches Jul 2026 The setting of this place is amazing, surrounded by mountains with the most beautiful of lakes.
The lake is perfect for my kids, it’s knee high for the first 50 metres and is amazing for splashing around and they also hire out SUP, kayaks etc for when it gets deeper.
Showers were lovely and clean and warm, the toilet block near us (like a portacabin type) was ok, could have been a little cleaner.
All in all I would highly recommend and will return with more family members.
It was the perfect base for me and my lad to climb Snowden.
