Fantastic

Would definitely recommend and I'm sure we will be returning in the future. Very friendly and facilities were clean, an excellent stay.

Flying visit

We were only passing by on the way home from Scotland but had a wonderful time at Little Acre. Facilities all excellent, and great to have a pub with good food in walking distance. Nice canal walk with the dog in the morning too.

Lovely stay at little acres

First holiday at little Acre's and I absolutely loved it such a great little campsite so clean,lovley facilities to use from showering to washing your dishes , staff were so lovely on arrival very welcoming happy to chat and made such a fuss over our little yorkie which was his first camping holiday and they were so great with him. Very dog friendly lovely for all the dogs to meet aswell. Felt very safe and secure very much will be going back in the future and will be recommending to other friends with dogs and that love camping thank you very much for a lovely stay and week all the best and thank you again from jacqui , Jordan and roo from scotland

Best site ever

One of the cleanest sites I have ever stopped on in my 20 years of touring all over UK. Would recommend it to all my friends and family.

Great place to stay! Would go again

We stayed a little acre camping site from Friday through to Sunday. It had great access to Windermere and Kendall The shower toilet and washing-up block was great and always clean every time I wanted to use it. Some of the best facilities I've ever seen in a campsite! You can hear the M6 a little bit - but it's like a faint 'shhh-shhh' sound in the distance, kind of like a quiet white noise, never affected how well I slept!

Little piece of heaven

I have just been reading previous reviews for Little Acres and tbh, don't think there's anything more I can add other than this is our favourite site we've visited this year and can't wait to return 🌞

Brilliant Campsite

Paul is an incredibly welcoming and helpful man. The site facilities are superb. The site location is idyllic. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and will definitely book in again in the future.

Lovely campsite

This is a lovely, peaceful campsite which is very clean and well looked after. The inside washing facilities are really nice. The manager was really helpful and accommodating. Toilet facilities are new and spacious. Only slight drawback was the number of toilets and showers at peak times. A few more toilets would be good.

Wooowwwweeeee

Perfect little weekend reset! All areas maintained beautifully. Bathrooms spotless, bin area spotless. Could not fault anything. Paul was a perfect host. Very informative. Surrounded area exquisite, peaceful and rolling hills, we had a stroll down the canal again kept nice and tidy not too many people. We also had an evening in the local pub short stroll across the road. First but certainly won't be the last visit. Thank you Paul and Sarah x

Friendly Staff and Good Management

I had a positive experience with Campsites. The staff are friendly, supportive, and easy to work with. Management is professional, organised, and always willing to help when needed. Overall, it is a good company with a positive working environment.

Excellent site and areas perfect.

Lovely site, couldn't beat the area. Very clean amenities couldn't fault it. The only downsides for me personally were shared toilet and showers with men, no grid to drive over to empty grey waste from a motorhome. Finally Wi-Fi and signal wasn't great. This won't stop us going back in June.

Hi Rose, thank you for choosing to stay with us at Little Acre recently and enjoying yourself so much that you've rebooked to come back in June! We've got 2 shower and loo blocks at Little Acre. The one that is closest to the pitch that you were on is the "new block" that has fully sealed, individual and locked unisex loos, and fully sealed, individual locked unisex shower wet rooms. The "original" shower and loo block has recently been completely refurbished and has separate ladies and gents facilities. I'll need to look into why the Wi-Fi and signal wasn't good for you - the person that was on that pitch prior to you used it as his "office" for a couple of days and told me that the signal was stronger and more reliable than his city centre office! We work on a septic tank system at Little Acre and we're trying hard to find a suitable location for a drive over grid - but each time we find a suitable location, we come across an issue that stops us using it. But we'll keep looking. See you in June - Paul & Sarah P.S. for your next stay, you're close to the "original" shower and loo block, which also mounts some of the Wi-Fi signal senders.

Great little campsite

Lovely little site, owner is great, very friendly and accommodating, he changed our pitch as we wanted something slightly bigger so our awning would fit. Very clean, toilets and showers are amazing. I loved the peace and quiet it is nice to go to an adults only site occasionally. Great for dogs .. lovely walk along the canal.

Quick getaway

We booked onto this site as a very last minute getaway choice to make the most of the exceptionally hot weather, primarily based on its location and reviews we read. We were not disappointed. Once we left the motorway, we were quickly signing in, on this little gem of a site, tucked neatly alongside a lovely canal walk. The site and facilities are immaculate and Paul is a very friendly, helpful host. Since our booking was last minute and over bank holiday weekend, we weren't able to get any 20p's needed for the showers, luckily Paul had them on hand to change for us. Since it was so hot and we had our dog with us, we chose not to venture too far off site. Instead, we made countless trips along the canal walk and to a nearby, lovely stream, which was a definite added bonus for us and our dog! We did take advantage of the 'dog-friendly' Crooklands Inn, literally 5mins away. The food was delicious with dog-mats and water provided for canine companions. The atmospheres of the site and the Crooklands, are both so similarly relaxed and enjoyable, that each feels like an extension of the other, adding to the overall experience. It proved the ideal choice for us, as a last minute escape, and we will be visiting again, thank you.

Great site

Great site with few tents on, great location and really friendly staff, you are in the countryside enough to feel far away from people but with a small village close by we could get food when we wanted

Fantastic site on the edge of the Lake District

What a beautiful little camping/motorhome site. We stayed here for 5 nights during a very warm late May Bank holiday week. The site is impeccably maintained and the modern facilities spotlessly clean. The management made sure to introduce themselves and took time to talk to guests throughout our stay. The site itself is just a couple of minutes drive from the M6 J36, although there is minimal road noise. There are lovely walks along the canal that runs adjacent. There is also a very nice restaurant/pub/hotel on the opposite side of the road - Crooklands - this too is very nice. Would absolutely recommend and will hope to stay again.

Amazing camp site

This is one of our favourite camp sites, it is so clean and tidy and the owners are warm and friendly. It is so handy to get to too, just a mile of junction 36, you are central also to Kendal and Windermere. If you want to chill and just rest up then this is the perfect campsite.

Excellent camp site
