About Springfields Countryside Caravan and Camping
Surrounded by moors and farmland, this 3.5-acre site offers an idyllic base for days of exploring. Head to Stoke-on-Trent for a day of shopping or strap on your walking boots and venture out to the nearby Peak District National Park. Carefully located, each pitch is very well spaced and all offer fabulous views of the meandering Staffordshire Moorlands hills. The site offers 19 fully serviced grass pitches, each suitable for a tent, caravan or motorhome. The pitches each include a 10 amp electric hook-up, fresh drinking water and a grey waste water drainage grid. You will also be provided with your own complimentary fire pit, perfect for toasting marshmallows of an evening for that traditional camping experience. Like to camp but without having to pitch up your tent? Then choose one of the ready pitched trailer tents, ideal for four with two double beds. Inside, there is seating, a large table, electric hook up, USB charging and even an electric kettle. Outside is a picnic bench and fire pit. Please bring all other camping equipment with you. The site also has two bell tents on offer, each sleeping up to six guests. Inside the tents are equipped with a double z-bed or foam mattress, along with four single futon beds which can transform into seating. To keep you cosy on those cooler evenings you will also be provided with a heater, along with a foldable table and chairs, lighting and electric. Outside of your bell tent you will also have a fire pit and picnic bench to enjoy a spot of al fresco dining as your marvel at your surroundings. BBQs are also welcome onsite, so you're more than welcome to bring one with you! Friendly dogs are also welcome onsite too, with up to two allowed per pitch.

Site facilities include toilets, wash basins, showers, a washing up area and small playground.
For picking up the essentials, Morrisons is a 20 minute walks or less than five minute drive away. Your nearest pub is the White Hart Inn in Tean where you will also find a Chinese takeaway and fish and chip shop.

When we arrived we were greeted by the warden who showed us where to go. The tents were clean and tidy and the toilets and showers were clean and fully functional. The information centre was very handy for ideas. We went to Alton Towers on the Saturday and as we left, the warden and his wife had put a lovely sign up saying happy 18th to my daughter. Such a lovely gesture. The warden was more than happy to help with anything we needed and checked throughout our stay that all was ok when he saw us. We really did have a fantastic 2 night stay in the bell tents. A friendly welcome and a nice campsite with good facilities.

We stayed in a Bell tent for 2 nights. We chose this location as it was 15 minutes drive from Alton Towers. The campsite is beautiful and quiet. There is a communal kitchen with sink and washing up bowls, microwave, kettle and large fridge freezer. There is also an information shed with everything you need to know about the area and places you can visit. There are communal shower rooms. Toilet roll is provided and the showers are beautifully hot. Our Bell tent could sleep 6 people. We needed to take our own bedding with us, which was expected. The Bell tent also came with a table and 4 chairs, a lamp, an electric fire, a kettle and 5 cups. There was 5 outside chair loungers, a picnic table and a fire pit. We could park our car right next to our Bell Tent. We would definitely recommend this campsite as it provided everything we needed for a lovely clamping experience. We will definitely be returning.

Things to do on site and in the Stoke-on-Trent area
Alton Towers Theme Park is just a 15 minute drive from the site, great for adrenaline junkies. Take a ride on the large rollercoasters, get spooked in the dungeons or splash around in the waterpark!
There are also many other local attractions such as Trentham Gardens Visitor Centre and the Trentham Monkey Forest (20 minutes) - the perfect places to explore the natural world.
Two working steam railways will take you through beautiful scenery nearby, The Foxfield Railway (10 minutes) and the Churnet Valley Railway (15 minutes) - both run throughout the year. Take a ride through the glorious Staffordshire countryside in style.
There are countryside walks and cycle routes which will take you on an unmissable tour of the area. Within a 20 minute drive you can be in the world fabulous Peak District with charming towns such as Buxton Spa town and Matlock, famous for Abraham Heights Leisure Park and the Blue John Mines.
