About the site

This site offers guests a variety of ways to stay, catering for those who favour traditional tent camping as well as glampers seeking out a luxury break in a handcrafted shepherd's hut or pre-pitched bell tent. If you simply would like to camp with all your own equipment, non electric tent pitches are mowed 10m wide and bordered by wildflowers and long grass. The camping field is car free so children can roam and explore and, as there are only 7 pitches (all 6m apart), you can relax and unwind in plenty of space. All have a space for a log fire too. Wheelbarrows are also provided to help move your camping gear, just 100m to the furthest pitch. The camping field can also be made available to hire for your exclusive use, including private use of facilities. Or leave the tent behind and choose a stay in one of three beautifully handcrafted shepherd's huts sitting amongst the trees and located on the edge of the top lake. All huts have wonderfully snug interiors including a double bed, perfectly formed kitchen, wood burner and their own private bathrooms with electric shower and waterless toilets. They also include the fishing pegs that are just in front and to the side of each hut, great for a glass of wine or ideal to catch that carp. You'll also find ready pitched bell tents in the camping field. Millie the bell tent is furnished, sleeping up to five, with a standard double bed and camp beds for additional guests. It has a cute outside mini shed/storage unit which holds all you need for your stay away, including a gas stove, plates, glasses, pots and pans! Val, the second bell tent, is also ready pitched for you but unfurnished so you can bring your own camping kit to set up your home from home. Both bell tents have outside chairs, a bench and fire pits ready for stargazing and marshmallow toasting with your loved ones!

Shepherd's huts are open all year except January. Camping and the bell tents are available from 31st March to 30th October. Pitches from £35/night for 2 people.

"The setting and wildlife are fantastic, and the pizzas are really good too"

A note from the site themselves...

Welcome to our site, we are Mark and Helen. We are a family of six our kids Millie, Val, Jude and Logan. Our backgrounds are both in retail and service, and we really enjoyed the process of our business, along with all the trials and tribulations that come with it.

We spent many years exploring France and Cornwall in our lovely little van, Bella. Whilst we travelled, we spent time dreaming of our own little site where we could recreate all the amazing experiences we have enjoyed over the years.

Now, we have the joy of sharing our own little piece of paradise with guests and hope we have the chance to welcome you soon!
